View Full Details of Rectory House Nursing HomeRectory House Nursing Home has looked after mum very well, she is very happy there. She is always clean and tidy. The staff are very good to her and always friendly. Thank you for looking after mum so well.
The home looked lovely at Christmas. The activities during this month and ongoing now have been 100% improved. There is a lovely atmosphere at Rectory House Nursing Home and the staff, including management, seems to be working well and in the same direction. I would have no hesitation in telling any relatives or friends about their loved ones becoming a resident. The staff, including domestic and chefs, are involved in the overall well-being too, which is great. Thank you.
My sister-in-law has adjusted well to the routine of the Rectory House Nursing Home. The guest visits have enabled me to see how well the home is run. The staff are qualified and proactive yet maintain a relaxed and friendly manner to all.
Very clean care home, and all staff are very friendly. My Mother stayed for 2 weeks of respite care after a time in hospital. She was well cared for.
I am so happy my Mum is at Rectory House, she has only just moved in but everyone is so caring it is amazing. I am so happy that they get Mum out of bed every day and include her in daily activities.
Once settled from her previous care home, Mum settled down and, I believe, enjoyed her time at Rectory House. All the staff were caring and treated Mum well, and she liked them all. Mum liked her Sunny Room and the view of the garden. Special thanks to the activities team who made Mum's days full of fun and laughter.
Everybody in the home is very very caring and thoughtful about needs and attentive to Mum. The home has outstanding grounds and courtyard where they hold parties. Inside is spotless and is perfectly decorated for Christmas. Every time we visit we're offered tea and coffee or shown where the coffee machine is.
All staff have been very friendly and kind. Only thing I'm not too keen about is resident having to use plastic mugs instead of own china mugs. Mattress alarm keeps going off constantly, it's nice to see the residents being involved the activities.
I visit a couple of people in the home to give them holy communion, from the local church. The staff are friendly and helpful. The ladies I visit seem happy and well cared for. Their rooms are clean and tidy.
Enjoyed coffee morning and would like to be back for many more. Very friendly and very pleasant company the buffet very very enjoyable and all home made. It was nice to catch up with people. It had a very good feel about it. Staff were very attentive it was a bit daunting for me to start with but so welcoming.
I visited Rectory House Nursing Home today with a group from the community church for the coffee morning. What a lovely welcome we all had and such lovely sandwiches and cakes. Lovely to chat to staff and residents and seeing how happy residents are was good to see. My mother-in-law lives there so I do pop in from time to time but mostly it's my husband who visits her.
Excellent staff. Attentive and respectful.
This has been a very trying time for management as she has just lost her husband of 47 years who she loved very much. The care from the staff here at Rectory House has been second to none. Amazing, so helpful and so kind and caring to my sister and they keep me updated on how she is and how her needs are met by Rectory staff admirably.
I have nothing but praise for the newly promoted manager and staff. They are very professional and have a caring manner and any issues raised are promptly resolved to the relative's satisfaction. The recent events organised by the staff under the leadership of the manager have been very successful, especially the BBQ. I am very fortunate that my husband is a resident here.
Really friendly and helpful staff and a lovely outdoor area for enjoying the sun when we have it. My dad was at Rectory House for palliative care, he was unable to cope alone at home and the staff at Rectory House took really good care of him.
I have always found the staff at Rectory House to be friendly and helpful.
Never been in a home before, respite care only. Took a few days to work out how things worked with staff and surroundings etc. Pleased with the small portions of food, and the staff able to understand my speech. Enjoyed getting visitors coming to see me while I was there. The staff is always helpful when needed. Can’t remember doing any activities. Preferred to eat in the room, which was comfortable on the whole. Disappointed with the occasional noise at night, preventing me from sleeping. The en-suite is a bit small to get around with my walker, equipment in the way; and no towel rail. The plug had no chain, difficult to grasp.
My mum has lived at Rectory House for 7 years and in January entered end-of-life care. The staff at the home from the receptionist, tea lady and care and nursing staff were wonderful, supportive and kind. They respected my mum's wishes and kept her dignity to the end. You could tell how fond they were of her and treated me with kindness at every turn. The staff was lovely and reassuring and Mum had wonderful care until the end.
Rectory House is a very friendly and caring nursing home. All the staff go out of their way to help you every time you visit. They have really helped with a very difficult decision my family had to make last year. Thank you Rectory House.
A very pleasant stay at Rectory House.
