View Full Details of Cromwell House Care HomeMy husband was cared for with great kindness and dignity. Visitors felt welcomed and when I stayed with my husband the night before he died, I also was cared for with numerous cups of tea and biscuits. Any queries were dealt with. Care was taken trying to find my husband something he was able to eat. Overall a wonderful service. Thank you.
Lovely home, all aspects of the home are really nice. All staff are good at what they do, from the carers to the cleaners. Very friendly, helpful staff, nothing is too much for them.
The staff are extremely caring, kind, gentle and extremely friendly. I am, without fail, welcomed warmly on each visit with a clear awareness of who I am and who I am visiting - this is of great value to me personally. My father has advanced dementia and displays verbal and physical aggression in his behaviour, which the staff cope with brilliantly! My only slight issue is that there are not always carers available to help and it may take a while for them to be free from other tasks - this is no complaint on them as they are constantly busy. Staffing, I appreciate, is a difficult balance.
Mum went for respite and was looked after so well. She had two lovely weeks and was really happy and enjoyed her stay. Lovely, clean establishment and all the staff were so lovely and friendly. Thank you for looking after Mum.
This was our first and surprise visit to see an aunt of my wife. We were delighted with the home which is light and airy and a pleasure to spend time in. The staff were all friendly and welcoming as well as attentive. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back! Our aunt was in far better shape than we expected which is in no small measure to the care and attention you give her. Keep up the good work and thanks.
Everybody is very kind and friendly, as I am visiting my sister on a regular basis so have got to know the staff. Easy access for parking and always space.
Very pleased. Home does not look like an institution. Very happy with the care and environment. Staff very respectful and helpful. Very happy with the third floor environment.
My Mother seems very happy here.
Mum came to Cromwell House Care Home for end-of-life care. She was only at the home for 3 weeks but was treated with care, compassion and dignity from day one until the very end. Mum's feelings and needs were considered until her last hours. We were always treated with kindness and consideration when visiting and continually updated on Mum's health and treatments. It was a difficult situation made better by the wonderful staff.
Thank you Cromwell House Care Home for looking after my wife whilst she was with you, everybody was caring and helpful. The carers made regular visits day and night. 'Thank you', 5-star service.
Since my brother has been at Cromwell House Care Home in February 2022, his health and mental well-being have improved immensely. He can now walk on his own with a walking aid and can wash himself and dress at times. The diet he enjoys has played a big part in his improvement. He is happy and talkative and obviously enjoys his surroundings and the very caring staff.
We as a family are so happy that we chose Cromwell House Care Home. Our mother has received excellent personal care from the loving and caring staff who go out of their way to assist with her care and also make sure that we are fine too. We feel they have accepted us into their family. The staff are loving and caring at all times and very attentive to her needs. The home is clean and is currently being refurbished. We as a family cannot fault this care home. My mother's room is also very clean and newly decorated, with new curtains, there is a comfy chair and ensuite in the room. I as a daughter feel safe leaving my mother to go home. The staff are so beautiful and caring which is so very reassuring when putting and leaving a loved one in a care home.
The home went above and beyond today, it was my mother’s 85th birthday. One particular member of staff and her entertainment team decorated the room lovely providing music food and cake which was amazing, so my family and I could make some great memories with Mum, she was so happy thank you.
My wife went into The Cromwell for respite breaks for several years and then for the final two years of her life. I have never had any fears for her safety or well-being. Whenever I visited she was clean, tidy and well-turned out. She was usually to be found in the lounge in the company of her 'buddies'. My wife was treated like the individual she was and that was very important to me. Also to retain her dignity. If I asked for an update from the care or nursing staff they were able to do so without digging into the computer. They just knew her. She was obviously quite close to some of the care staff and they were to her. Nowhere is perfect and, like many care homes, this one struggled during Covid but the current staff and manager are at the top of their game. I am grateful for the care that they gave my wife and I would use the Cromwell again without a second thought.
On visiting my father-in-law he looked so well cared for, after looking uncomfortable in the previous home. While we were there he was checked up on every 10-15 minutes. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly and appropriately. As a nursing sister for the NHS for the last thirty years, I am very impressed with this care home's care and attention of my father-in-law.
Have not been coming long, but what I have seen so far is it is a very, very well run place and very nice. My friend seems happy here. We call in a hotel for the elderly. I think she is going to love her new home.
My mother has been in the care home since 28/03/2022, now her permanent address. Mum is well cared for and appears happy, even though she does not know where she is due to her dementia. The staff are accommodating to when any of Mum's five daughters have questions - re-care. Plenty of areas for Mum to sit down in comfort. The garden area is large but needs a little bit of love and attention; maybe ask for some volunteers to help. Overall, I am happy with the care my mother is given.
Kind, professional, thoughtful and going the extra mile. The carers work hard alongside the great volunteers and nurses to make Cromwell House Care Home a home from home. The food is wholesome and the freshly battered fish on Friday is a big hit with Mum. Crucially, we feel Mum is safe here and very happy. The gardens are lovely and we intend to buy a rose bush for it. From the wonderful manager to the maintenance man, the fabulous receptionist/hairdresser, this is a great team! Highly recommend.
The staff at Cromwell House have taken excellent care of my mother since she arrived. Despite the complications of covid 19 they have done their best to insure we have had regular pod visits and when that has not been possible we have had FaceTime visits. My mum loves the food and the staff and seems to have settled in well. Huge thanks to all of the staff.
Went to my weekly meeting to see my mother. Only 20-minutes allowed a week due to covid19, but now in glass partitioned room with speakers. Was good not to have to wear a mask this time. Very well organised and set up. Mum has dementia, but this week did remember me. I have been visiting for two and a half years. Out of covid, Mum has had good, friendly care. Little things I have to organise ie footcare and hairdressing I book for Mum and pay extra for these, fees very high. Many foreign-speaking staff, nice but language difficulties.
