The carers and nurses certainly went above and beyond their duties to help my mother. Such a friendly atmosphere, just one big family, and everyone cared for each other. The food was excellent and made on-site. I was worried about my mother going into a home, as she had Alzheimer's, but she blossomed in there. She loved all of the carers. Excellent care and service. I was always made welcome on my many visits. Thank you to all.

Mum was in Midfield Lodge Care Home for approx 18 months. I found the staff were excellent, kind and caring. The managers and nursing staff kept me well updated of any issues. If I wanted to know anything they were always there with an open door. Also, there is a good choice of lunch menu. When Mum passed away I couldn't wish for any better support than I received from all the staff.

Our dad was admitted to Midfield Lodge following an extended stay in Hospital. Dad's dementia had taken a nosedive and our concerned family was immediately comforted by the huge amount of care, kindness, support and dedication shown by the whole team. Even though Dad couldn't communicate in the usual way any more, the staff managed to work out what a lovely fella he was. They've also shown great friendship to my mum who visited several times a week as she was missing dad at home so much. Sadly Dad's journey ended earlier this year and the beautiful calm and kind manner in which Midfield managed his passing has been truly comforting to our family. We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful last 4 months of his life - thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

If Mum's happy, I'm happy and she is most of the time. The summer fete was entertaining with a lot of staff to help.

My mother has dementia. It became dangerous for her to stay in her flat. She was confused. This home has taken such excellent care of her. She has settled in and enjoys the activities and is making friends. The room, although small is beautiful with an en-suite bathroom. The care staff are exceptional from the admin to the manager and activities ladies and the carers and nurses. I could not be happier with the way my mother is taken care of. I love the way the courtyard is totally safe and a beautiful place to sit in. I would recommend Midfield Lodge.

I found this home to be very good with looking after my dad, in his final months. He moved here from his previous care home that had to close and I can say the care and friendliness were 100% better than the previous home. They treated him as if he was a family member, respecting his wishes and left him alone when he wanted this. The food was excellent, even my dad said it was fine, which was a compliment from him being a chef in the past. I could happily recommend this home.

My brother received excellent care. The staff were friendly, sympathetic, and caring at all times. The layout of rooms around a courtyard means staff are more visible, reducing isolation for the bedbound. Thank you to all.

My Mum went into Midfield Lodge for 8 weeks following a 6-week spell in hospital. The staff were incredibly compassionate and competent. The end-of-life care she received was first-class and addressed all her needs. We are very grateful for all the help she received at Midfield Lodge. We considered a number of care homes and we were very pleased with our choice of Midfield Lodge.

Cannot praise Midfield Lodge enough. As a visitor, I was looked after, offered refreshments and tea/coffee. My wife's last days were made more bearable by the fantastic treatment she received.

The staff are kind and caring and Mum feels safe here. The atmosphere in the lounge is relaxed and intimate and residents are treated as individuals, with understanding and reassurance and a family atmosphere. The rooms are small but the layout of the home around the courtyard is very amenable and secure for independent wandering mobile residents.

The care and compassion shown to our mum was second to none, it made a very sad time, so relaxed and helpful. We would as a family most certainly recommend the facilities here. The staff and management have been fantastic.

Midfield Lodge is an amazing place. The staff are so caring. Food is very tasty, roast each Sunday looks delicious. The nursing staff especially are amazing.

In the short period my father was in the home prior to his death the nursing staff and carers provided excellent care. They kept the family up to date and informed us of any changes in his condition. He did not want to join in the home activities despite the staff's constant encouragement but loved his food. The family were very impressed with the dignity given by all on his passing.

We would like to thank all the staff at Midfield Lodge Care Home for the high level of care, compassion and support they gave to our mother/wife over the past few months as they nursed her through her last months. Midfield is truly a place where it is the staff who ‘make it’ with a dedicated and sensitive nursing team working alongside the carers. We would like to highlight the additional care and sensitivity and generally going ‘above and beyond’ at all times of one of the night nurses whose compassion shone through in all that he did.

My father had end-of-life palliative care at Midfield Lodge for a few months earlier this year. The staff were compassionate, engaged and friendly. The food quality was good and the rooms clean. There were good activities on offer and a reasonable staff ratio. In difficult circumstances, they did a valuable, expert and kind job.

The support offered to us as a family at a very hard time was amazing. Thank you to all the staff. The recent refurbishment has lifted the home. Open visiting and the chance to stay with our relative overnight at this difficult time was just what we needed.

Friendly, caring staff, many of who have worked at Midfield Lodge for some time, made for a great environment for my relative to see out her final months. The level of care was so heartening it meant that the family had no concerns about the choice of care home, knowing that she was in good hands. The home provided all that we could have asked for, which was especially appreciated as Covid was still an issue to the outside world during her time there. Grateful thanks from the family.
