Always greeted with a smile from very friendly and professional staff. I am pleased my mother is a resident at this care home. She is well looked after and I have no concerns about her care. We visit my mother regularly and she always appears happy and contented.
When my husband was sent here from the hospital the home was going through refurbishment. I had some doubt that he was in the right environment, but once I had met the members of staff I quickly realised he is in the right place for his needs. The refurbishment is now complete. It feels like home. My husband is happy, therefore I'm happy. I can go home and know that he's in safe hands. Park Vista can be congratulated on their wonderful efforts in sometimes difficult circumstances. The staff here are dedicated, kind and thoughtful not only to the patients but also to the relatives who visit.
Park Vista is a very caring place although it is an old building it is clean and welcoming, all the carers are friendly and helpful. My mother spent her final months in Park Vista and I felt supported through the very worst part of my life. I am sure that my cousin will receive the same support and care.
Mum has been at Park Vista since April 2024. Since moving here I can see she is so much happier and settled. While I can see a progression in her dementia her quality of life has massively improved. As a family we couldn't be happier with the facilities, the attention she receives from all the wonderful staff, she has even made lots of friends which previously has struggled to do. A member of staff, in particular, is fantastic with Mum and she loves joining in all the activities.
Overall good, much improved over the last few months. Nice to see the place being modernised and new flooring to help with cleanups. Would be nice for all rooms to have the new flooring. Would like to see a bath as not everyone likes a shower and hair washing facility for hairdresser.
Find the carers and all the staff are very helpful and all the rooms are kept cleaned very well. Recreation very good, altogether a very good care home all activities are well catered for.
We placed Mum here after two very stressful experiences at other homes. We were initially hesitant because it's not the prettiest building but we have been absolutely blown away by the care and love of the staff at Park Vista to the residents. The professionalism of the staff and the care and hard work of all staff is second to none. Mum can be challenging but they 'include' her in their staff meetings (!) and have so much patience with her. The Interim Manager has been so supportive and has always been approachable. We are glad we chose Park Vista.
A care home that provided stability, warmth and compassion when all around me at this time had just fallen apart. My dad needed full-time care and support as his dementia had quickly progressed and Park Vista provided that caring environment I was looking for. The staff and senior management were always approachable and are well-experienced with running the home for the benefit and comfort of its residents. My dad was looked after with dignity and compassion throughout his short but eventful stay and will hopefully be remembered for his humorous one-liners and wry smile. As a resident at Park Vista for only four months, he sadly passed away. He was 90 years of age. I cannot thank you enough for the quality of care he received and the support from staff who cared for him to the very end. Choosing a care home for your loved one is a daunting task but you need to be sure that you have made the right decision. I definitely did. Thank you to everyone.
We find the staff very friendly and my sister is certainly happy there. We would recommend it to anyone needing care. Residents are engaged in activities which we feel are beneficial for overall well-being.
My dad went to Park Vista in August 2022, just a few days over 2 years there. In that time I cannot thank the staff enough for their care and support to my dad and us as a family. The care home is very friendly and as much as can be a home from home. All of the staff are amazing and the Manager, Interim/Deputy Manager is so supportive. Any issues raised (only in the early days were dealt with quickly). They keep me well informed at all times regarding my dad and always make time to chat with me when I visit from Manchester. Thank you to everyone.
Mum has been in the amazing care of Park Vista Care Home for many years. The care and affection she has received from all the staff, but in particular from two particular staff members has been second to none. There has never been a time when we have not been happy with the service even through the difficult Covid years, the staff became part of her family and we have always felt they knew and understood Mum completely. Their communication has been fantastic and their genuine sorrow at Mum's passing was a comfort to us. Thank doesn't even begin to cover what we want to say.
Hi, a particular member of staff and her team have been fantastic. They deal with very challenging situations daily. I can't thank them enough. Every time I've visited my father or called they have been very supportive. Kind regards.
My father has been a resident for approximately 8 months now. I couldn't ask for better care for him. From the moment I looked around the home I felt welcomed and I knew he would be treated like an individual. His needs were listened to and have been met and more often than not they go beyond what has been asked for. All the staff are approachable and will respond quickly to any requests and conversations had by either my father or myself. They are reassuring for him and work quickly in response to his changing needs. They have excellent connections with the GP and ensure his needs are regularly reviewed and discussed. It is a very welcoming home, both in its layout, decoration and friendly staff. Staff appear to be consistent as does their approach towards his care, helping him form positive relationships and maintain a regular daily pattern, which has been really important to him. They also welcome visits from his dog which has been a real positive for him! Thank you to Park Vista!
Today my sister and I visited our dad. He was waiting in the garden for us and he was with a member of staff from the entertainment department, we can’t praise her enough. We sat in the sunshine and played a few games of bingo with other residents, then we had a bit of a singsong. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
It was dad's birthday today and we had a pod visit. The activities coordinator did the usual covid testing and said she wished she had known it was dad's birthday. We get to the pod and it is all set up with a birthday banner and then he gets a birthday cake and his carers sing happy birthday. What a lovely surprise and made the visit so special. Can’t thank her and the staff enough for a wonderful visit.
I cannot recommend Park Vista Care Home highly enough. This is a home in the true sense of the word. The staff are amazing and have looked after my dad as if they were related to him. My dad has very challenging needs but they continue to look after him in an extremely professional and caring way. Top marks 10 out of 10.
On arrival, we were made to feel very welcome and introduced to a lead carer who welcomed us. We were shown to the conservatory and made a cup of tea. My husband was taken to be weighed etc, and then he returned to join us. We discussed medication and my husband's routine/likes and dislikes and notes were taken. Later we were invited to stay for lunch, the staff and chef all made an effort to chat. When calling the home for information on my husband, someone was available to feedback.
Since arrival, my mother has received exemplary care. The care staff greet you by name on every visit and let you know without asking how she is. We have been invited to lunch and made to feel part of the family. The rooms are clean and kept tidy and you feel that you and your family resident really matter.
My father has been living at Park Vista for the past six weeks after a prolonged stay on acute wards in hospital. He underwent 3 major operations and, at the age of 93, was suffering from pain, poor mobility, weight loss, pressure sores and had an indwelling catheter. The care, professional skills and total dedication of the amazing staff at Park Vista has, literally, transformed his life. Within this short period of time, he has returned to his old self and is both happy and content again. He no longer has a catheter, his pressure sores have completely healed, he has gained weight and is now eating and drinking normally again. He mobilises freely around his new spacious, light and homely environment in his wheelchair (he was previously confined to a chair or bed 24/7) and enjoys the company of residents and staff, participating in the many activities available in the home. Both myself and my family have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this fantastic care home to others.
