I had visited my husband in Brooklyn House Nursing Home for two years and was overwhelmingly impressed with (A) the friendliness and caring of both my husband and me as a visitor. So when I became too poorly to cope as home, I knew there was only one place I wanted to be. Had no hesitation in selling my bungalow to pay for me to be a resident and I don't have any regrets whatsoever. Best decision I ever made.

My wife and I visited Brooklyn House Nursing Home on behalf of my sister, who has now taken up residence there, on our recommendation. The initial view was of a modern well-equipped building, but the main consideration was the staff. All the ones we met were very helpful, welcoming and extremely pleasant. Since residing there, my sister has found the staff very accommodating to her quite demanding needs. As she has had multiple sclerosis for some years, she does require a substantial amount of help which is always forthcoming. Having been on her own for many years my sister is gradually being drawn out of her room by the various entertainments laid on by the staff. She really enjoyed the visit by the Owl Sanctuary and was encouraged to fuss one of the birds. A first for her. She also enjoyed the Christmas buffet with the Elvis impersonator, and commented that the staff had gone out of their way to make the days enjoyable. We have peace of mind, knowing she is being looked after to a very high standard.

My mum was a resident at Brooklyn House Nursing Home from December 2020 until she passed away in October 2024. I have nothing but good things to say about the care that she received from the team at Brooklyn House. Thank you for looking after my mum so well.

My mother has been a resident at the home since February. The home is very welcoming; the staff are friendly and very attentive. Excellent level of care shown by the nursing/care staff when my mother fell ill recently. No hesitation in recommending this home to family/friends.

My mum has recently moved into Brooklyn House. The family are very pleased with her care. The staff are wonderful and very caring. We all are very pleased with everything.

Very clean care home. Excellent facilities, welcoming to relatives, friendly and caring staff. Food of a high standard. Very good activities and entertainment. Would highly recommend it to others looking to put loved ones into care.

I have found the staff to be very welcoming. Mum has been a resident since June 2024 and has settled in well and concerns have been dealt with regarding Mum's health and well-being. I actively recommend this care/nursing home.

If a loved one needs a kind and compassionate nursing home, I can highly recommend Brooklyn House. My father was discharged from hospital, as they felt there was nothing else that could be done for him. He was very poorly. With great care and nursing, he has gained an amazing quality of life for his age that we didn't think would be an option. Everything is geared to the differing needs of the residents at Brooklyn House and, as a family, we feel that we too are also included.

My dad was in a bad way when he came from the hospital. Since his stay at Brooklyn House Nursing Home, he has improved so much. Knowing he is cared for so well brings great peace of mind. I have found all the members of staff that I have spoken with very understanding and helpful. Having a warm and friendly atmosphere I think is really important for relatives visiting their loved ones. I would definitely recommend Brooklyn.

Every single member of staff with whom my family have had contact has been exceptional. From day one of my relative's stay, they were knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly. Special mentions to the lady on reception/admin who goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and included. Nurses are excellent, skilled and very caring.

Always treated well on arriving by a very good receptionist. Clean corridors. Well-dressed staff. Very polite. My daughter is safe and very well cared for. Something she wasn't in the Greenwich (London) area.

We could not have landed in a better place. From the first day, my husband received the very best and kindest, skilled nursing and all-round care here. Every staff member was superb, and their teams worked so well in caring for him in his last, hard weeks. Extraordinarily good, kind and compassionate people and the very strong family interconnections among staff are a sure testament to their success and very special qualities.

All very good, any concerns are listened to and acted upon. Under "rooms" rating - my husband's is clean, no problems there but it is starting to look a bit shabby, paintwork chipped etc. Everything else is fine.

They are all very kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble. They are always checking on my mum to make sure she is ok.

Always find the staff and management friendly, welcoming and efficient. Catering staff are happy to serve refreshments to visitors. Excellent cleanliness in service users' rooms and public rooms. Staff are happy to assist service users with recreation outside the nursing environment and visits to places of interest.

I was advised on the 13th of September by the hospital that there was nothing further that could be done for my father and that he would require end-of-life/palliative care for what remained of his life. Brooklyn House was recommended to me and I remain enormously grateful for that recommendation as I have to say the kindness and care they gave my father and the support they gave to the rest of my family during this extremely difficult time was just exceptional. The manager and his team were and remain faultless. A huge thank you from my brother and me.
