View Full Details of Belvoir HouseMy mum was here for respite. The staff were very caring, and she had a great time. She went on trips out and enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt and hot cross bun tasting, as well as live music. She was very well looked after. Thank you!
My dad has been a resident here for nearly two years, and he is always positive about it and it feels like home to him. He has a good sized room with an ensuite toilet and always says the food is good. This is amazing because he is very fussy! The staff there do come and go, but there are some who are just so dedicated and loving and give their lives to caring for the people who live there. They love the residents, and even take my dad out down to the pub or out for a walk, which they are not paid to do. The communication is good, I can always get someone on the phone and recently they have introduced a good activity package and have posted many videos on social media which means friends and relatives of my dad can see what he's up to even though they do not live close by. There's always a hot cup of tea waiting for him and chocolate biscuits and sandwiches if he needs them, the kitchen always seems to be open! Belvoir House put the Care into Care home.
My Dad has lived at the home for a few years. Since it changed hands to the current owners it has provided an excellent level of care. Staff are thoughtful, friendly and caring. Their commitment to protecting residents from Covid-19 has been outstanding. I have been able to relax knowing that my father is safe and secure. I looked at a number of homes before choosing this one. All residents have a toilet and sink in their room which was important to me. My Dad can choose to have his meals in his room or to join others in the dining room. The home organises activities that my Dad enjoys. The home is clean, keeps good communication with me and is responsive to any feedback. I used to run a care home and I am very happy with the level of care that is being provided here.
My mother has been at Belvoir house for three and a half years to date and suffers from dementia as well as being bed-bound. Her dementia has worsened over that time and the level of care and attention afforded her has been excellent. The staff and management have shown her the utmost respect and detail of care and have included myself and my brothers at all times. Obviously, Covid has played a big part in the last year or so but Belvoir have dealt with it and its effect on our family in a very professional and caring way.
The Staff are lovely and from what I have seen, do their best, especially over the last year with Covid. Management at the home are good and knowledgeable. Facilities, from what I know, are adequate. The food is excellent.
Mum has been a resident at Belvoir for just over a year now and in that time I have come to admire the manager and her team for the care and consideration they show to all of the residents within their care. It is true that the building is an old Victorian property but it's very clean and well maintained and in a quiet location which is well served by public transport. The manager is making great efforts to keep the facilities up to date and relevant. It always impresses me that the staff all seem to know all of residents well. I have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone.
