View Full Details of Diamond HouseWe were asked by the events coordinator if we could help with a game of human "hungry hippos", to which we agreed. We are regular volunteers and the atmosphere is so light and refreshing. The residents are brimming with excitement, even if they are not partaking in the activity. They are such a great bunch with lots of smiles and laughter and are a credit to the staff and carers who do an amazing job. The staff are so bubbly and the interaction with the residents is so amazing. It is such a pleasure to help out and we both look forward to it.
My father-in-law has been at Diamond House for a few months now and loves it. The support and care he receives is fantastic nothing is too much trouble, he even eats better than us! Knowing he is looked after so well is great. There are endless activities to get involved in, something he would avoid before! The staff are friendly, helpful and caring, not just to him, but us when we visit. I just hope that there are care homes like this when I need one!
Mum has advanced dementia. She has been at Diamond House for a few years now and we have been so relieved to see how well she is cared for. The activities are now a bit beyond mum, but it's so lovely seeing how much goes on and that life is made much more interesting for those who can join in. While we would rather have her at home, it's a comfort that she is safe and lovingly looked after.
My sister has resided at Diamond House for 6 years. She has always been well looked after. I know she enjoyed having her hair done by a hairdresser and her nails painted - which the staff still do for her even though she is now bedridden and unable to recognise me anymore. It cannot be easy caring for her and I do appreciate her care and safety there. The cost I believe is very high although I do not know other homes' fees.
The staff are all happy and friendly, which makes a huge difference to everyone's life. The residents have activities and entertainment, which is hugely important to their wellbeing. The home is always clean and tidy. We enjoy volunteering there, as the atmosphere is so uplifting.
It is amazing that the staff take time to keep the residents amused and busy Great atmosphere and a caring environment which you can feel when you walk in the front door. Clean and bright with lots of entertainment bingo arts and crafts.
Amazing care given to my mum. Her carers were kind and gentle with her. I knew she would be well looked after. The activities put on for the residents were wonderful and seeing my mum join in was so special. My mum's passing was made easier by the wonderful carers. All I can say is a big thank you.
Mum has been very happy at Diamond House, as we are.
The moment we walked in the door we were made to feel so welcome. Staff were all so helpful and friendly and we knew almost immediately this was the right place for our father. Nothing is too much trouble and we really feel he will be well cared for.
My mother has always received exceptional care ever since moving into Diamond House. All staff are very kind, caring and professional.
I have visited my friend on a regular basis since the beggining of this year and my review would have been the same in any month. The staff show consideration and kindness in abundance. There is a very friendly atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I have visited many care homes in Norfolk over the past decade and I would rate Diamond House to be the best. If I had to go into a care home, I would want it to be this one.
The standard of care is exceptionally good and extends from the patient to family members. Recently my wife fell over suffering from a suspected hip damage, and a carer lay on the floor keeping my wife company, this was some three hours after the call and only got up upon arrival of the ambulance and in her own time. A truly wonderful service. Thank you, your manager was also in attendance out of hours.
My Dad had dementia. He'd been in three other care homes, all of which let us down badly, with many serious problems. So by the time he came to Diamond House, I knew what a bad home was like, I can only wish it had been logistically possible for him to come to Diamond House from the start. After a year of literally non-stop hell with the other homes that made me very ill, I cannot tell you the enormous relief it was to know my dad was safe, cared for properly and treated kindly and with respect despite being extremely challenging due to his advanced condition, that I could trust the home and the staff totally, that I could ask anything and voice concerns, be taken seriously and would be listened to and engaged in discussion, not fobbed off, and feel we were working as a team. I can highly recommend Diamond House to anyone, if my dad had to end his days in the sad and heartbreaking state of dementia, not only did the staff treat him with kindness, respect and dignity, but they did me too.
Came to visit my sister. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our visit. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
Amazing staff, lovely and friendly. Working around a fussy eating habit.
We came to visit our aunt and were made to feel so welcome. The staff were so kind to our aunt and us throughout the visit. Nothing was too much. Great experience. The staff really knew our aunt and her likes and dislikes.
Very pleasant visit, all staff very friendly. Very satisfied.
Always friendly, can appreciate how busy you all are.
We were very impressed with the amount of time and trouble that the staff went to welcoming and settling in my in-laws. They have provided a wonderful double room that's very well kitted out. Including a TV, which was really welcomed. They have successfully encouraged them to eat, drink and wash. The whole of the staff have been amazing. My mother-in-law is already referring to her room as home.
We were anxious, as a family, about Mum going into a care home as it was the last thing she wanted. However, from the outset, all the staff were so lovely and did everything they could to make Mum and ourselves feel welcome and reassured. Mum seems very content in Diamond House.
