My dad was in Ford Place for almost 2 months and sadly passed away yesterday. I cannot praise the care home enough. The staff were lovely and friendly and were very accommodating. He was kept comfortable until the end, and was treated with such dignity during his passing.
My father-in-law stayed at Ford Place Thetford during end-of-life care. From the start of his care in December to the 18th February when he passed the staff were outstanding. The manager was attentive and supportive in every situation we went through. The home administrator was so genuinely caring and supportive throughout the whole time of his care. The nurses were so compassionate and caring towards my father-in-law and they showed him dignity and respect until the very end. I will always be thankful to all of the staff at Ford Place for the outstanding care he received. I will always be thankful to the nurses for the respect and care they gave to him. His last hours of care from one of the nurses in particular will always be appreciated and remembered forever. I am so grateful for all the support and care from all the staff at Ford Place you are all truly amazing people.
My stepdad was a resident at Ford Place Care Home in Thetford receiving end-of-life care. The staff were outstanding with the care he received and the support they gave me. The staff went above and beyond to care for my stepdad's needs every single day. He passed away on the 18th February and I was so overwhelmed and appreciative of the care, support and compassion the nurse who cared for him in the last hours of his life showed to myself, my aunt and my stepdad. I will always be thankful for choosing this home to care for my stepdad as the staff here are all so genuinely caring and I will miss seeing their happy inviting faces every day.
This care home is such a friendly family establishment always happy to help and has very caring staff l as a visitor feel l can treat the home as home from home and can take my aunt out whenever she wants to go out
My mum was at Ford Place for 10 days of palliative care. She was made very comfortable in the short time she was there. The manager and staff went above and beyond their ability to care for my mum. Also made time to talk to us explaining everything as mum's care went along. Thank you.
My mother spent her last 2 years in Ford Place on end of life care. She received excellent and dignified care during this time. I cannot praise the staff at the home enough. They treated mum with kindness, care and consideration through difficult times. The manager and staff were always there for us and extremely professional and helpful. Mother enjoyed the outside and fresh air, so the setting of lawns, a river and abundant wildlife were very therapeutic. Thank you to the team, you should be proud of yourselves.
My Mum came to Ford Place in 2003 and I think has been the longest resident in this care home, this is testament alone to the care and consideration the staff have for the residents. Mum didn't have too much to look forward to but she was always greeted with a kind and friendly face and this I am sure brightened her day. A few of the staff had been at the home for as long as my mum and they became her family and friends, this was the reason we decided to have her wake at Ford Place so the staff could also celebrate her life with us. I wasn't sure how this would be taken when I mentioned it but was so pleased when the managers said it would be an honour to host such an occasion. Myself and my brother and also mum's late husband cannot thank the staff enough for their wonderful care of my late Mum, I will miss not coming to Ford Place myself as I have done for so long, but time is a great healer and all I can say is keep doing the fantastic job that you have as it is so much appreciated
My brother has been at Ford Place for several months, due to the deterioration of a lifelong physical condition that made it impossible for him to manage independently. The staff have been so friendly and always treat the residents with respect, which has made it easier for him to accept that it was time to make the decision to move to residential care. He's made friends with staff and other residents and enjoys the many activities on offer, and most importantly we all feel he's in a safe place where his needs are met and his dignity respected. The beautiful surroundings are also a big plus for him as he loves the natural environment.
My late son was moved to your wonderful home from another hospice in early May. It was an extremely difficult time for him also all of the family. He was at all times cared for with kindness humility and loving care by all the fantastic staff. My son spent his final days there with sincere thanks to all of you and the Manager. Be very proud of your great team and thanks to you for your kindness.
In the very short time that our cousin was with Ford Place, he was looked after and cared for very well. From the very first contact and the following, with both the managers, staff in all departments, plus the contact with head office, was excellent, helpful, thoughtful, informative and responsive. It was a shame that we could not have managed to get him to Ford Place earlier, from the London area, and then he would have appreciated the surrounding grounds and the staff. Thank you.
My sister at the tender age of 51 suffered the horrific last stages of multiple sclerosis and was fortunate to be placed in Ford Place. She was treated with such dignity, support, professionalism and care until her final passing. The support that both she and myself received was priceless. I cannot rate Ford Place highly enough.
I found the Care Home very clean and all the staff, the cleaners, carers and office staff very helpful and no job was too much they cared for my father and gave him the best care they could. I would recommend the home to everyone.
Just like to thank all the staff at Ford Place for the care of my uncle who had not been at Ford Place that long. He was there from February until the end of June we can't thank them enough for the care that he received and how welcoming and supportive they have been.
My mother-in-law has now been a resident at Ford Place for 6 weeks. Previously at a care home in Essex for 16 months which was not satisfactory, frequent staff changes, and poor management. Ford Place is welcoming and has very competent and caring staff from Managers through to maintenance staff. I am so pleased she has made the move.
My husband moved into Ford Place Care Home in November. He received nothing but the best care and attention until he recently passed away. Myself and my family cannot recommend Ford Place enough. The staff are all amazing and became like an extended part of the family, couldn't wish for any better care for him. Thank you all so very much.
The staff are fantastic always treating my nan with love, care and most importantly dignity. Nothing was too much trouble. During her final days, they treated us her family with love and compassion which meant so much to us. The staff really cared about their residents that was clear to see the day she passed. I will be forever thankful her last months were spent there. The management team were always approachable and happy to listen to any issues. And maintenance were always willing to help where needed.
We would like to say a huge thank you for the care of our mother in the last few months of her life. You made her comfortable and she loved to joke with the carers.
My wife was moved from a non-NHS hospital in early January and Ford Place looked after her, after a suspected heart attack, she was sent back to the hospital for 10 days and returned to Ford Place. Throughout her stay in Ford Place, she has had excellent 24/7 care. The nursing home is spotless. The staff are exceptionally good, courteous, friendly and genuinely caring, superbly trained and working 24/7 as a well-oiled team should work. Yes, Ford Place is an excellent, caring nursing home.
I have nothing but praise for the staff at Ford Place. It is a lovely home with beautiful surroundings and has a good reputation. It was always pleasant to visit, clean and tidy and very welcoming. My relative was thankful for the care and service she received and did appreciate that she did not always come across that way during this difficult transitional time in her life. The end-of-life care was very dignified and the staff were there to support me throughout. Thank you!
My mum spent three months at Ford Place. She was looked after extremely well, always very clean and always on hand when she needed someone. Overall very pleased with my mum's stay here.
