My husband has been a resident at Holmwood House for a year now and has come on in leaps and bounds. When he first arrived he couldn't feed himself or hold cutlery, he couldn't stand or walk any steps but this has all changed with the nursing and support from carers.

Mum receives the care and attention needed. She is respected and shown much kindness. When changes are needed, everything is explained to her and us. I am confident she is in good hands.

My wife moved into Holmwood in December 2024, with advanced dementia. She settled immediately and is very well cared for and supported by the caring team, who know the needs of all the residents on the EMI wing. Extra stimulation is provided by moving her each day into the lounge. All the staff - carers, cleaning, laundry, kitchen are all supportive, friendly and work as a team. The management and nurses all know each resident and their needs and are very approachable for resident updates etc. Very pleased - thank you. I know my wife is being well cared for and looked after.

My father has been a resident since January 2024. He is receiving excellent care. He now has a fantastic social life due to fellow residents and staff. Great activities, which he enjoys. The staff are brilliant and call when anything is wrong with my dad. The home has excellent communication about activities and what is going on with the home and residents.

Both my parents came into the care home as they were struggling at home by themselves. They have been well looked after here from the start. My Dad sadly passed away last year but the care home were so kind and went above and beyond to look after my Dad when he was extremely ill. We knew he was in good hands and when he died they helped my Mum and our family with kindness and sympathy. My mum is now encouraged to join in activities, of which there are many, helping her in so many ways socially and psychologically.

The care given to my brother was exceptional. He was shown respect and kindness throughout his time there. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. When telephoning, each call was responded to quickly and politely. Well done to the team.

My dad has now been a year in Holmwood House Care Centre, in the dementia wing. In all of that time I have seen nothing but smiles from all staff. Their care and kindness to him is wonderful. He is very well looked after and is encouraged to participate in all their arranged activities.

Holmwood House Care Centre is a fantastic care home. It is well run, clean, the food is good and the staff are knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The nurses are quick to address and resolve any health issues. There is a well organised schedule of activities which the residents can choose to join in with or just observe. The petting animal visits are fantastic. I'm so pleased my mum got allocated a room here.

The carers are doing a wonderful job looking after my mum. They are meeting her care needs with patience and understanding. She can be quite tricky to care for but the carers are working hard to keep her safe, well and as happy as she can be.

The gorgeous nurses and beautiful ward staff, who cared for dad so tenderly and the kind, were always kind and I was there a lot. The lovely lady who served lunch and lastly but not least the office staff. They were all amazing

I am very happy with how my husband is looked after at Holmwood House Nursing Home. He loves his room. He is always content when I visit.

A lovely care home. My father has been a resident for a year next month which started as a short trial then he decided to stay. The staff are really supportive and kind to both residents and family. There are activities daily - with an updated programme due in the coming months aiming to get residents out more and additional entertainment and visitors to the home. My father is happy there! That means the world to us. He is safe and well looked after.

Since moving into Holmwood House, my mum has been treated with dignity, kindness and respect. The staff have all been welcoming, efficient and caring. The home is extremely well managed. The team go above and beyond to help wherever possible. I would highly recommend Holmwood House to anyone looking for wonderful care for their loved one.

I am extremely happy with the way my mother is being cared for by all the staff at Holmwood House. My mother can be aggressive and nasty but the staff are kind and understanding.

My dad was at Holmwood House from May 2023 until he passed in September. During that time he was cared for with kindness, patience and much empathy. All the staff were just blooming lovely and gave me peace of mind to just relax and enjoy his last few months with him. So grateful for that.

Clean, welcoming, good food, amazing staff and i the world of care homes good value too. So pleased we chose it for our father.

Every time l have visited the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The place is always spotlessly clean. The staff are always knowledgeable about the residents they are caring for. Residents can take part in various social events organised by the home.

As my brother is confined to his room, due to health issues, it would be nice if a male resident could visit and chat with him.

Holmewood House Care Centre is very well managed and the carers treat my mother with dignity, care and consideration. They attend to details that are so important for enabling the residents to feel at home here. My mother has settled in happily which brings peace of mind to me and her family.

Although my relative has only been in the care home for three weeks, we cannot speak highly of their care and commitment to her. Their caring is excellent and we can't ask for more and we would just like to say a big thank you to them all.
