View Full Details of Oak Manor Nursing HomeI have lived here just under one year. In this time I have been very well looked after. I feel like I am understood and the people here make me laugh and happy. The manager visits me everyday and care so much about us all. The carers and activity people do lots for me. I am glad I am here.
I am very well cared about by everyone here since I arrived. I am looked after very well. The staff are very attentive. I enjoy my life here.
Today I have visited a distant relative in Oak Manor Home today. I was so impressed by the team and the manager who was so caring and thoughtful to care for my relative in the way I observed. Thank you all so much.
After a short residency in another care home, my Dad was moved to Oak Manor. He has some quite tricky care needs and has in the past been difficult to look after, our family were a little nervous about him being moved to another home that potentially couldn't manage him. We needn't have worried. The staff are all amazing, walking angels there is so much love and care given to not just every resident, but their families too. My Dad is a retired priest and we discovered that the staff have been singing hymns to him to calm him when he is anxious for instance. The activities co-ordinator went out of her way to find 'Sing Together' videos that my Dad was in and bought a giant screen into his room so he could watch it. While we visited, every member of staff popped their heads into the room to say hello to Dad and our family and it was clear that they are all passionate about delivering exceptional care. This place is outstanding, amazing people and care. Thank you.
My mum received excellent care at Oak Manor Nursing Home. The staff were all very kind, caring and could not do enough to make her comfortable. Unfortunately my mum passed away earlier this month but could not have been in a better care home.
My Father was welcomed into the home by very friendly and caring managers and staff. His room was made up with his personal belongings all set up for him. Photos of family had been displayed on the walls. The room had been selected for him for space and the specialist bed. Myself, brother and mother feel his every need is met. He settled in well and he likes to wave at all the friendly staff who always have time for him. Thank you so much for being wonderful.
The Oak Manor team have been fantastic when dealing with my father. All the team have been remarkably kind and loving during a difficult time. We wish to thank all of the team for the love and support shown.
In the 8 months my mum has now been a resident at Oak Manor I can't fault the care she gets. It was a slow unsteady start for her getting used to somewhere/something new but all the carers made sure she felt at home and although there have been challenges along the way they have always kept my mum safe and secure and felt part of the family, I've witnessed this first hand. The room she has is beautifully decorated warm and cosy the meals are nutritious and there are always drinks/tea/coffee. All the carers are amazing and I'm so so thankful for each and every one. The manager runs a great ship.
In the three years my father was at Oak Manor up to his passing, I found all the staff to be loving, friendly, compassionate and dedicated to all the residents and could not fault the respect, love and care my father was given. This kindness was extended to me and it became my extended home and family. I could not have wished for better care for my father and cannot extend my gratitude strongly enough.
Outstanding. The team are so loving and kind.
Everyone is always welcoming and they look after the residents with love and kindness.
All the staff are brilliant, attentive and friendly. They clearly care about their charges and this shows in how Mum responds to them. Outstanding!
I visit my friend with my wife every month or so, and each time I see him I am amazed at how well he looks and how well cared for he is. Not only physically cared for but cared for in every way by staff who genuinely want to make a difference. The whole team are welcoming, polite and professional and nothing is too much trouble for them.
My mum unfortunately had a stroke and needed to be cared for. Oak Manor was recommended for its staff and facilities and the recommendation was completely correct. The staff are so welcoming and the attention to all the residents needs go above and beyond. The rooms are nice and clean, bright and everything is catered for the residents. The staff are so helpful and really engage with both the residents and their families informing us of changes and improvements to my mum's health and wellbeing. The sudden shock of my mum having to go into care has been very stressful but Oak Manor and its staff have made that process less stressful not having to worry about her care. Thanks can never be enough for the staff.
My husband moved here after his previous Care Home was deemed unsafe. As you might imagine this was a distressing time for us, however, Oak Manor's staff have done everything they could to make this move easier. They are an amazing group of people, always there with a smile and a kind word. In comparison to his previous residence I feel listened to and cared about. After my previous experience, I felt the need to assure myself, that my husband was safe in this new home. This has been done. My questions have been answered, I have been listened to and reassured when I have been unsure and all their procedures seem robust. The senior staff are reassessing to ensure best outcomes for him and the carers are very proactive in their support of him. I feel extremely confident and happy with his care and am very glad to have him placed there.
I am very happy here. I have been welcomed by everyone here in the home. I enjoy the activities and have very nice food. The staff are all brilliant. Everyone cares. My husband really enjoys visiting the home as well and the staff always make sure he is happy also which means a lot.
My husband unexpectedly has ended up in Oak Manor Nursing Home. Have no fears about Oak Manor. After only 4 days I have been in tears twice through the overwhelming, palpable love, respect and dignity shown to my husband. I swear the whole team give him more love and care than I could. They are the most incredible team, it's one family - they're like cherries from the same tree. Thank you Team Oak Manor.
Oak Manor has been a haven and blessing for not only my father but my whole family. We have always been welcomed, looked after and informed by the staff and management. Throughout this difficult time, the staff have always been attentive, supportive and friendly. Even when my father has been challenging the staff always put their best foot forward to keep him positive and happy through music and activity.
The staff at Oak Manor have been so kind and helpful with the last weeks and then the death of my ex-partner. He was in the home for eight years and since the manager came it has been a happy loving place. He received good care but more importantly affection and understanding. They have been very helpful following his death.
My husband has been at Oak Manor for approximately ten months - he has been looked after so well. Staff very friendly, and he seems happy. The staff always greet us with a nice cup of tea and keep me up to date about my husband, and I would like to thank them all, as sometimes it's difficult not having him at home with me. Good food and a happy place.
