View Full Details of Catchpole Court Care HomeMy husband is very happy in Catchpole Court Care Home. All staff are so good work so hard and room is very clean all the time cleaners are so good all is not to much trouble and staff as before as very excellent. Lady who does all bingo etc and all activities with residents is excellent person.
Despite the room being well decorated and spacious, for the amount which is being paid it is very disappointing there is no ensuite toilet.
The home is conveniently located within the centre of town, very well maintained and with a homely feel to it. The staff are very caring and get to know the residents well. It is a very stressful event to place a parent in care and the home supported us closely throughout the process. My mother is at home and relaxed in her new environment which is so important. Great team and experienced staff.
Staffing is still a big issue there. My father has had to wait for baths or bed baths on numerous occasions. I visit every weekend, sometimes dad is still waiting for a wash. Sometimes he doesn't get a mid morning cup of tea. More training on diabetic diets etc needed. Activities on Gainsborough are first class and dad loves getting out of his room and joining in. Staff are friendly and when not overworked they take good care of dad. There have been some cleaning issues but they have been addressed. The regular staff should be rewarded for their dedication to the residents. The activities lady goes above and beyond keeping the residents entertained etc.
I am so grateful for everyone at Catchpole Court Care Home. When we found out my dad was end of life, I felt so guilty knowing he would be going into a nursing home, but all of that guilt went. The level of care has been amazing, and dad is now comfortable. The home is very clean, the staff are so friendly, the food is lovely, and most importantly, they have delivered the best possible care for my dad! The new manager at Catchpole Court has been brilliant! She has really made the nursing home, a home!
So far I have been very impressed with Catchpole Court Care Home and the staff. Those that I have met, so far, have been very helpful with questions I have had. My brother seems very happy with the food and I love the idea that family get offered a cup of tea or coffee as well. Items of clothing of my brothers were missing and the very helpful staff helped me today locate them, my fault as not all of his clothing is labelled as yet, working on it.
I looked at a number of Care Homes prior to choosing Catchpole Court Care Home for my brother's ongoing care and found Catchpole would be the best one to meet my brother's needs. Upon arrival, I was first struck by the cleanliness of the place and warm welcome I received from all the staff, and the only home I visited to completely show me around the whole site. Since my brother arrived into care here, he has been very happy with the support and daily care he gets. All the carers/staff are friendly, helpful and clearly go to great lengths to keep the residents happy and contented. We were particularly taken by the efforts made to make my brother feel at home, putting up shelves for his keepsakes and other things. In my brother's words, the food is excellent from breakfast to bedtime every day! Several weeks into his stay and we are both very happy and for me especially grateful to see my brother in such good hands.
Dad has always been happy being there, as much as he'd always want to be at home, he gets on well with all the staff and has built some good friendships. Thank you so much for looking after him so well.
Both my parents have become residents of this very kind, caring care home. The staff are wonderful and have been a great help for both my parents needs. My parents seem to be very happy. Thank you.
As a family we are very pleased how our mother has settled in and the care and attention she receives is excellent. My mother is always telling us how lovely the food is and she has very much enjoyed the trips she has been on, one to a garden centre where they had lunch, and the second trip to a local town to look round the town and stopped for a coffee. The security at the care home is excellent and cannot fault the dedication of the nurses, carers and the management who have always got time to answer any questions.
I was asked to accompany Mum on a trip to Felixstowe in the minibus. The activities, the lady on the Gainsborough Unit organised, everything first class. All four residents had a lovely time, even two went up on the big wheel. They were toileted, fed, watered, and cared for with love and respect. Fantastic day was had by all - long may it continue!
We came to see our Uncle and the staff who were settling him were kind and friendly. He was generally happy but a bit confused having moved rooms and was looking forward to his clock and pictures being put on the wall. He'd enjoyed a quiz, doughnuts, and company at lunchtime. Friendly and welcoming.
I feel a lot safer than I did when I first came. The staff have looked after me well for me now to go into more independent living.
My father has been at Catchpole since July 2023 and the care and support, dignity have been first-class. Nothing is too much trouble and all the staff who have been looking after my dad have been fantastic and are a credit to your company. I would recommend Catchpole to anyone.
Staff very tentative and exceptional care given to the residents. Staff also very pleasant with all visitors and informing family of progress of resident. Home warm, clean and happy.
The family would like to thank all of the staff and the manager, who have been excellent and supportive towards my father, his care and treatment regime. The team were quick in liaising with other medical teams to support Dad's health as well as attending to the hospital. The manager is very understanding and caring. He kept us updated of Dad's health and well-being. We have received a warm welcome from him, he showed us around and is very knowledgeable and interactive with a good sense of humour and has demonstrated a holistic approach towards my father.
We asked if it was possible to arrange an anniversary celebration (60 years) for our parents, they very much obliged and arranged for exclusive use of the dining room, where we had delicious food laid on, decorations and a delicious cake too. A really enjoyable evening, everybody commented on the home. A huge thank you to the amazing lady who arranged this for us, not forgetting the wonderful care staff.
I live at Catchpole Court and I am very happy.
Had a lovely day!
On the last day of 2022 my wife died of cancer in this home. The care after her funeral was top class, even staff attended the funeral, cannot thank them all enough for the care given to me.
