View Full Details of Chilton Meadows Care HomeMy mother moved to Chilton Meadows in February this year. She has cancer in several parts of her body and is unable to continue living independently. From the very first moment she arrived, her care has been exemplary. The team at Constable House asked for some information about Mum's life so they could have meaningful conversations with her. She has been and continues to be treated with the utmost respect and love. I am so happy we found Chilton Meadows where Mum is happy, comfortable, and above all, cared for in a family environment.
On behalf of my Father, I am delighted to give a 5-star review and if there were more stars to give then my review would be higher. All facilities are good and especially all of the staff who are absolutely wonderful people and apply a first class caring service to the residents.
My Grandmother has Alzheimer's and moved into the home a month ago. We couldn't be happier, she is happy, clean, and content. All the staff are wonderful, so friendly. Nana is enjoying all of the food and activities. We would highly recommend Chilton Meadows.
The carers in Gainsborough House are exceptional and go above and beyond to look after the residents. On the downside, the quality of the food, both ingredients and cooking leaves a lot to be desired. Overall, I would recommend Chilton Meadows.
Since Dad arrived at the home, the staff have been friendly and supportive. If Dad has a fall or medication change, then the nurse in charge has contacted me. My dad nearly always needs a shave when I visit which I presume is due to not having enough staff. One thing that most frustrated my family, is that Dad's slippers always went missing, ever though they were named. We've bought five pairs of slippers. Most of the time there are none in his room for him to wear. The singing entertainment has been very good. Sometimes staff can be on the phoes too much.
Such an amazing place, everyone is very happy and friendly and always such a great atmosphere every time I visit my father-in-law.
My uncle moved here a couple of months ago - he came with his wife (my auntie). Upon visiting, we were very pleased. Great care has been taken to provide my uncle with exceptional care! Staff were pleasant and caring! We were even invited for lunch with my uncle.
To see how my uncle has improved with care and support he has received shows how comfortable he is and demonstrates the level of care. Thank you for making his later years so enjoyable.
Since my dad has moved to the home. We have seen such an improvement in him. It's like he has had a new lease of life.
The care home is excellently run in all areas. My husband is very happy there and the attention to his needs at all times is very good. The staff work very hard to accommodate all possible things to be done for all the residents. Everything that is done for the residents and my husband cannot be faulted. My husband and I feel very lucky that he has the care that he receives from them.
Cannot complain, a lot of staff, most, are very helpful and friendly. Would like to say a big thank you to the activities. More of different choices are possible on menu? A lot of money, but I'm guessing down to the government.
Mum has been a resident since September 2023 and has settled remarkably well. This is due to the care and consideration of all the staff, both to her and us, her family. Being a small family unit it means so much to us all, and we now feel part of a much bigger, loving family. The patience and care by all staff members is more than we could have wished for. Thank you.
My mother went into Munnings House, initially for respite care in February 2023. She is now a permanent resident. The staff have been absolutely amazing. Every person there, regardless of job role, go out of their way to help. They made her so welcome and show such kindness and warmth. I was supported also in the transition of leaving my mum. Nothing is too much trouble. I know she is cared for and happy. I couldn't ask for a better home for her.
My mother spent her last couple of months at Beech House Chilton Meadows. From the moment we arrived everything felt right. The staff were on hand, always alert, kind and respectful. The accommodation is basic however, the whole building is maintained well, is kept clean and the services provided for residents are good. Food is really up there. A menu every day which most people would be pleased to see in any restaurant. Having already been in a prior care home Chilton Meadows was a breath of fresh air. Thank you Chilton Meadows for looking after my mother, for showing her the kindness you did and for caring for her. I know she was not easy but you all appeared to manage her. A safe, kind and warm environment best describes Chilton Meadows. Keep up the good work.
The staff are all very helpful and very friendly. The food is good and there is plenty of it.
My dad has been a resident since December 2022 and has been there for eight months. As a relative, I feel confident in knowing my dad is safe and happy at the care home. Although there have been some changes in staff during this time, it has always been positive. The new unit manager has a “can do” attitude and works hard to build motivation in the staff, as well as a positive and caring environment for residents. Staff will go that extra mile, and after conversations with them, I can leave knowing my dad is in good hands. What a great team!
My nan has just reached the amazing age of 100 years old. This is with the care she has been receiving from Chilton Meadows Care Home. She has been a resident for over five years and is very well looked after. To celebrate her birthday they organised a buffet lunch and lots of decorations which was so special. This was followed by a birthday party on the grounds outside with a singer and lots of fun and laughter. Thank you to each and every one of you that is caring for my nan, we are forever grateful.
This was our first visit to Chilton Meadows Care Home to see our friend who had only been at the home for five days. He seemed very content and the staff treated him with respect. The staff were very friendly with us and answered our questions regarding our friend.
Mum spent fourteen months in Chilton Meadows Care Home after her dementia became too much for us to cope with at home. She was as settled and happy as her dementia allowed her to be and we found the staff to be very patient and caring with her even when she was sometimes agitated. We will be forever grateful to Chilton Meadows because their help allowed us to have a relationship with Mum again prior to her passing.
Amazing care home. The staff are attentive and caring. My mum has only been here a couple of months and loves it. She gets involved with all the activities. Being surrounded by lovely caring staff has transformed her life. In her words, there is nothing to complain about she is well looked after and the food is nice.
