View Full Details of Cornwallis CourtI came for recuperation following a hip replacement following a fall and stayed 9 days. I arrived 5 days post op and was treated with nothing but respect, care and kindness by the staff. I was supported in my remobilisation and improvement at my own pace. The activities staff included me in the social aspect which I much enjoyed and I made conversation with a number of other residents. My room was comfortable, the dining staff friendly and food good.
I have nothing bad to say about any of it. I enjoyed the whole experience and the food was excellent.
My father moved to Cornwallis Court when his previous home was closed by its owners. This was a worrying time for him and our family. The staff at Cornwallis Court were exemplary in their welcome and effort to making my father feel included, safe, and at home. This care is normal practice for the wonderful staff there and has continued since moving there in November 2023. The relationship my Father and our family have with them is a credit to the R.M.B.I. Thank you.
From day one, staff know our names and were friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them, we are both happy here. The food is wonderful and the menu is varied, optional, alternatives are offered if the main is not suitable.
Delighted with this home. My father became a resident at the end of October 2023. I cannot stress how impressed I am with all the staff. The care provided is exceptional, the consideration given to the individual needs of the resident is just perfect. I cannot praise all concerned any higher. I know that my father is so well looked after, his needs are more than met. He is clean, well fed and medicated on time all essential and appreciated. The activities are great. He joins in with most which keeps him active as his dementia progresses. He is meeting new people and really thriving since being there. I know that he will live longer now he is in good care as he needs 24-hour care. I feel that the staff go the extra to ensure residents are happy and truly care.
My Mum has been at Cornwallis Court for just over two years and not a day goes by where we are not grateful for her being in good care. She is always treated with compassion, respect and dignity and looked after as well as she can be. She is always content, good spirited when we visit, she loves being among people at the various activities even though she is no longer able to take an active part in them. Your kindness to her is appreciated more than we can say. Thank you all.
Mum has been at Cornwallis Court for nearly a year and we are so grateful, and pleased to be there. Our mum is the most important person in our world and we want the best care for her. The care she has been given has been excellent, they do not forget she is a person and continually try to meet her needs. The staff are kind and caring and like to laugh which puts a smile on Mum's face. Even in times when they are challenged with staffing they still try to deliver the care Mum needs. All staff work incredibly hard and it doesn't go unnoticed by the family. Since being at Cornwallis Court we have been made to feel very welcome and supported. We feel lucky to know our mum is well looked after and kept safe.
I would just like to say thank goodness for Cornwallis Court and its staff! After having nine months of hospital stays and unacceptable care facilities, our family can not be more grateful that Dad is now settled here. Since the day he arrived, the staff have been nothing but amazing, kind, knowledgable and welcoming. Thank you so very much.
My sister receives care from the staff at Cornwallis, and they create a happy atmosphere around her. Their care is special and they care to the extent of respecting her dignity. The nurses always inform us of any health changes she is experiencing, by phone. They encourage as much as they can for my sister to take part in activities, which could help her with her condition. Thank you. As we all know there are angels among us.
Overall quite good but the food is awful and it takes a long time to respond to the buzzer.

Mum was very happy during her time at Cornwallis Court. The staff were helpful and caring. The food was of a good standard and the activities were enjoyable. She stayed and if needed, would happily return.
The home is really good with good attentive staff. Lots of activities are laid on for residents and there is a good amount of staff. My mother is receiving excellent care. She says the food is nice and it's a lovely place. The home also has a fully staffed nursing wing.
My mum was transferred to Cornwallis Court Care Home from the hospital due to Covid. Ever since April 2020 she has been looked after very well, her health is always foremost and all her needs are met. The staff and carers are friendly and happy.
My mum in nursing has deteriorated and is now being allowed into the home, my experience with the staff has been so positive. I am always welcomed with a cheerful greeting. My mum can have a very difficult side to her since her stroke, all the staff have great patience and care for her. Everyone is so cheerful with her and tries to make her happy. Covid has been very difficult for the home, but I feel that they have coped very well.
My Auntie is a resident at Cornwallis Court and always has the best care. All the carers are lovely, kind and patient and nothing is too much trouble. She has as many cups of tea as she wants, which makes her happy.
The care given to residents is extraordinary to be fair not just the residents but the relatives also. Nothing seems too much trouble. The care, respect and communication I have received is priceless, also the activities team with the photos that get taken and then sent to me. I have not ever experienced such thoughtfulness and kindness.
My mother is at present being given end of life care at Cornwallis Court Care Home. Her care is absolutely second to none, all staff have gone out of their way to ensure that she is being kept comfortable, whilst keeping my sister and myself up to date with all developments. I can’t emphasise enough how much we appreciate their professionalism, commitment and love shown towards Mum, for which we will be eternally grateful, I can’t thank them all enough.
Throughout my mother's time at Cornwallis Court the staff of all types have been most helpful and she has been happy there. What is exceptional is the way the manager and her teams have dealt with the Covid year. The level of both professional care and support has been of the highest. Goodness knows what the demands have been on the staff's personal lives but we are grateful for their extraordinary efforts - and sustained good humour.
The staff in Cornwallis have just brought my 91-year-old father through Covid-19. Without their care love kindness time and support he would have passed away. I will never be able to thank them enough. They are amazing.
