View Full Details of North Court Care HomeMy Aunty was a resident of North Court. She was reluctant to go to any home and I was anxious. I can honestly say that I can’t praise North Court enough from the time she first stepped in she was made to feel at home and so were we. The care she received there was excellent and couldn’t be faltered in any way. Every member of staff was always polite and acknowledged us and we could visit whenever we wanted. The activity coordinators were excellent and again included us. I also noticed that on occasions such as Xmas the staff all went above and beyond to make it very special for all the residents, the home was decorated beautifully. I have since recommended this home to people who have asked me about and I seriously couldn’t have received any better care for my Aunty it was outstanding and I can say with confidence I highly recommend the home.
Dad moved in around a month ago we have had nothing but kindness shown to our dad, his words - the staff are lovely and can’t do enough for me. The food is excellent lots of fluids given he always looks clean and smart we are all so happy he is there. We are now able to visit and have lots of laughs with him, best thing we have done. Thank you so much to all the staff at North Court.
Absolutely outstanding care home, not a bad word to say. Such a clean welcoming environment, the staff give the best to the residents giving love and support and helping them with day-to-day activities. The staff are incredible and so caring towards the residents, anything they need the staff are there providing them with the assistance and support they need, giving the positivity with every task and telling the residents they are doing well and they are proud of them when the residents complete activities and everyday tasks. Really recommend this care home if you're looking for a home for your loved one, not a single bad word to say about the care home, absolutely incredible!
My aunt came to North Court Care Home for end-of-life care which was given with compassion and kindness. Medical support from the local surgery was good and communication from the nursing staff was excellent. My aunt died peacefully and we were very grateful that she did not die in hospital where she had been for five weeks previously. I'm not sure how we would have felt should she have recovered and gone on to live in the home as the environment is very dated and in need of modernisation. I cannot comment on the facilities and activities as she was bed bound.
My mother has been a resident for two months now. It has taken her a while to settle in. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only concern I have is that the food is not very appetising. After having a meal there myself, I agree. Surely, when catering for the older generation an attractive meal would be beneficial.
My main reason for completing this review is to express my growing concern over the staffing levels of employed carers. There seems to be more and more Agency staff who often speak very poor English and often don't seem to have a clue as to what is expected. Also, the food is not always up to standard and is very poor.
I took my husband for a week's respite so I could have an operation on my knee. He sat in a room, and no one came and asked if he was ok. No remote for the T.V, no jug of water left so he could have a drink, no food until I said I was going to the shop down the road to get him a sandwich. No drink until 4 pm when I collected him and took him home. The home should be closed down. I wouldn't leave my dog there.
My wife receives very good care and she loves all the care staff. The staff are all very caring and affectionate to her. I would highly recommend North Court.
Friendly welcome on arrival at each visit. Care staff are passionate about their residents' comfort and wellbeing and are a credit to the care industry. I’m really happy that my dad has settled in his new environment and I’m comfortable in the knowledge that he is being well cared for and that his needs are being met without compromise. I will happily recommend North Court Care Home.
Very pleased with the overall standard of care. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. If you have any concerns you can just phone up and they sort it out. Visiting is always very nice. Cup of tea or coffee. A lot better now that things are getting back to normal.
My mother has been a resident at North Court for nearly 5-years. There have only been a couple of times where I have had concerns. The attention to her care has been wonderful. I have such respect for the staff who look after her. Their dedication to their work is inspiring.
My brother has been a resident here for over 3 years. I have always found the care he has received very good. The staff have been friendly towards me. Everything is lovely and clean. I have 2 Christmas dinners with him which I enjoyed very much. I can't wait for things to get back to normal. It must make everything so much more difficult for the staff.
The loving care and compassion shown by all the staff at North Court is absolutely amazing. It is abundantly obvious that this is more than just a job as they regularly go above and beyond what is expected. I am so grateful to have my parents looked after in such a wall. I cannot praise North Court and its staff enough. A most sincere thank you to you all.
This year has been difficult but I have found the staff very caring, in very difficult circumstances. They've kept Covid out of the home, by restricting their personal lives. This is a credit to them. It's always warm and friendly. The food is excellent there. Residents always clean and dressed well. The laundry service is excellent. One doesn't wish for your loved one to go to a care home, and while I was reluctant at first, am quite satisfied.
Both of my parents have been residents at North Court and after difficult decisions were made North Court took over their care with professionalism kindness and the utmost respect at all times. This standard has been maintained over years. My mum sadly passed at North Court and the staff were amazing and helped us as a family to cope with a very dark sad time. The medical and day-to-day care was done with genuine care and concern. The home is efficient and clean and has a happy atmosphere with nothing being too much trouble this includes all staff from housekeepers and cooks to office and kitchen staff, they all work as a team to make life happy and interesting for their residents and wrap their arms around the families.
My dad has the most excellent care, the carers and everyone who works there treat him extremely well; he has blossomed in their care. We are extremely lucky to have him so well looked after; he feels safe and happy during this awful time, the carers have made sure that Dad has some sorts of contact with us.
My mother had to move into North Court 18 months ago due to her husband becoming unwell, so initially for respite care. Unfortunately my stepfather never really recovered, and despite spending 3 months in North Court with my mother he passed away. My mother had no option to stay at North Court and there lies my admiration for staff at North Court. My Mother has been involved in making choices, developing routines and lifestyle, making friends and accepting her life with utmost respect, time and effort from staff. Thank you. She is now happy.
Our darling mother went into North Court Bury St Eds on the 19th January after being in the hospital for nearly 5 weeks. She had a fall and fractured her hip on 18th December. She was in the home for 3 weeks, but sadly she died on 9th February. The staff at the nursing home were just brilliant. They were so caring and loving towards mum. She was so happy there!! She had a lovely sunny bright room. Not only were the staff lovely to mum, they were there for my brother, me and the rest of my family, always asking if we wanted drinks and hugs when we were upset and letting us come and go, to suit the family needs. As a family, we can't thank and praise North Court Bury St Edmunds enough.
Very welcoming, staff introduced themselves and then went to collect my mother. She arrived in the cafe, happy, well dressed and comfortable in her surroundings. The cafe was clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc. including cakes and cookies baked and decorated for 'children in need'. The doors were security driven, so I felt no qualms about my mother's safety.
Perfect care and understanding with family and patient.
