Over the last 3 years the home has gone through an amazing transformation by there own team of trades people making it a bright and lovely environment for the residents. The gardens are lovely for a afternoon in the sun with my friend. The wellbeing staff are always coming up with entertainments to help the residents to relax and enjoy life. The house keeping team keep the place clean, and the residents cloths washed daily, so they always look there best. I could not have have found a better place for my friend.
The care given to my wife was outstanding. Very compassionate staff with great attention to specific needs and complete understanding of a difficult condition. To be highly commended for their work.
Overall experience - excellent in every way. One member of staff is excellent, and another is exceptional, both are very helpful and caring, kind and happy to help in every way.
I am amazed at the consistently excellent attitude and dedication of all the staff at Culverhayes. It suggests to me that staff recruitment and training are superb and prioritized by the management. I visit my brother weekly and always feel that he is in the best possible hands and that the staff have a genuine warmth and a rapport with him.
I really cannot praise the staff in this home enough, they are caring, and patient with the residents, it almost brings a tear to my eye every time I visit to see how they are with them all. Dealing with dementia must be such a challenging role and I don't know how they do it day in and day out. We haven't met a single member of staff that have not given their all to provide the best possible level of care. I could single out individuals but they are all so fantastic.
I had visited this facility several years ago to visit a friend with dementia. I found the facility 'dull', lacking features of interest and rather depressing. On my recent visits to see a friend, who has now passed away, I found the place very different - much more interesting, well staffed, secure and caring. May I thank all the staff I met for their 'caring approach' to the resident.
My uncle stayed at Culverhayes in January of this year after he had been hospitalized. He was safe and very well cared for, with a lovely room and was able to heal and recover. It was such a relief to see him improve the way he did, thanks to the care received.
All the staff I met were just so kind, caring, polite and respectful to my friend and me. There was no "rush" in any aspect of the conversation the staff had with my friend or me. My friend is so genuinely cared for, even loved. I have complete confidence my friend is safe, secure and respectfully looked after. I used to be a nurse, and I can assure you Culverhayes is doing its job 100%.
My wife was a resident with quite advanced dementia for nearly 6 months. She passed away with flu on 23rd December. The care she received was of a high standard. The staff were without exception very skilled and friendly. The food provided was plentiful and very good. My wife lost her mobility but nothing was too much trouble for staff. I visited every day whilst she was there so I am well placed to assess the home. I am so grateful for care and kindness given to me in such a stressful and upsetting time. I am heartbroken now.
My sister and I have been very pleased with the standard of care our brother has received since arriving at Culverhayes and feel it's the best place he has lived at over many years in and out of different residences.
This is a very caring care home. All the staff are wonderful, make you feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I visit at least three times a week. Always feel welcomed by everyone in the home. I don't have any hesitation to recommend this home to anyone.
My father has been in this home since 2021, and I can honestly say that we are delighted with the care that my father receives. The food is excellent, and the staff are always happy. It seems like nothing challenges them. I would recommend Culverhayes to anyone!
Excellent nursing home. Highly motivated and caring staff. Friendly and open atmosphere. Clean. Good food.
My wife has been in this home with quite severe Dementia, for around a year now. There were teething problems to begin with, now she has settled down with the way of life there. I am more than happy with her care, from management to the care she receives from the carers. The food is good and they seem to be doing improvements all the time. I would recommend this care home to anyone considering putting their loved ones into care.
Very friendly and caring staff, they went over and above to help me help my sister and to have a lovely afternoon after driving so far to see her. With each visit, I could see how they kindly looked after the residents and there was a good, calm atmosphere with quiet, relaxing music playing. A reasonable-sized garden with plenty of firm chairs for the summer.
My partner can be very difficult to help as she has many different problems, but the staff at Culverhayes are absolutely amazing, they are understanding helpful and most of all caring. They try and assist you with any questions that you might have, the manager's door is always open for any questions concerning your loved one or any problems that you may have. The staff that deal with my partner are just so friendly, you know when you are leaving the home that you are leaving your loved one in a safe and caring environment which believe me is worth more than words can say. Obviously, it’s a home and every home has its minor problems which we all can relate to. When these problems arise the management is very quick to try and sort them and keep you informed on what’s happening. Just to say a massive thank you to all the staff and people involved with Culverhayes Care Home.
My mother-in-law has been a resident in several care homes, so I have experience with the service in all of them. In my opinion, Culverhayes is far and away the best I have seen. The staff are very pleasant and invariably helpful. Above all, they are cheerful - a very important consideration in this kind of environment.
Went to go visit my gran today and the two carers popped into her room and made sure she was okay and if she would like a drink and was extremely nice and made sure she was comfy and always asked if she was okay. Massive thank you to the two lovely ladies, I recommend this care home to anyone. The lady came round with her food and asked if she wanted it cut up and explained what the food was to her and spoke to my gran in a very calming way. Just want to say a massive thank you to all the carers out there, you're doing an amazing job helping everyone.
I am very happy with the care my mother is receiving at the home, especially through all these difficult times. The staff are caring and attentive to my mother and indeed very responsive to our requests or concerns about my mother's welfare. The manager is approachable too and tries to accommodate my mother's and our family's need to keep as much contact as possible in the very difficult circumstances of the pandemic. The organisation has been effective in limiting any spread of the virus in the home - I applaud the very hard work of the staff in this situation too - they are all indeed heroes too!
