View Full Details of St Teresa's Nursing HomeVery satisfied with the support my wife gets. All staff seem to be dedicated to their work and appear to be happy doing it. The care home is clean and tidy and the grounds well kept. I have problems remembering the various security codes on the internal doors but understand why they are needed.
Following the death of my dear wife, I must write to say thank you to the staff and management of St Teresa's for the care and support that was given to her during her time there, plus the support and sympathy shown to both myself and my family since her death.
The care and support given to my mum during her stay was excellent. It was a great comfort that her final days were spent in a warm caring environment, which is a credit to all staff.
I found all care and staff are very caring to us. My husband is very happy at St Teresa's Nursing Home.
The staff at St Teresa's are friendly and always attentive to my brother, who is non-verbal and unable to communicate. Since being at St Teresa's, my brother appears to be happy and comfortable. Staff are very good at keeping the family informed of any changes in my brother's health, which we find very reassuring.
All the staff, without exception, were amazing to my brother and also to us as a family. My brother wasn't always easy, but every member of staff was very understanding. They were kind, and patient and treated him with the utmost respect. As a family, we were reassured that our brother was being well looked after, in both his physical health and mental health. The food was great, the home was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The communication between staff and my brother's family was excellent, we were kept up to date with his condition and any questions we had were answered honestly and openly in an appropriate manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending St Teresa's to anyone looking for a care home.
My sisters and I are very grateful for the care, support and love the staff gave our father during his time with them. He was content in his final years, and although we would have wanted him with us it would not have been best for him. The staff were caring and considerate, nothing was too much bother. In his last days, staff who knew him came to see him, it was a comfort to see how much they'd cared for him, the staff also looked after us very well in those last days.
In the short time that my wife has been at St Teresa's, she has settled in very well and been well supported by the staff she comes into contact with daily. I find the staff to be both very friendly and very helpful with nothing being too much trouble. Her room is both clean and warm and I am very happy with the level of care she is receiving.
Although I did not choose to place my friend in care at that time, it was chosen by a Social worker. My friend could not have been in a more suitable nursing home. From start to finish, every possible care was given by such kind and caring staff. I personally felt cared for.
My wife has been a resident at this home since October 2022. She has dementia and a stroke has meant that she is confined to a wheelchair. The care she is receiving varies from wonderful to magnificent. Caring for dementia patients is very demanding and calls for a high level of sympathy and understanding, and that is what my wife receives here. Wherever I take her in her wheelchair, everyone seems to know her, call her by name, greet her with a smile, a touch of her hand and sometimes a cuddle. Her response to these greetings tells me that this show of affection is not for my benefit. The home is scrupulously clean, and my wife seems to enjoy her food. A lot of effort goes into providing entertainment and recreational activities. I have no complaints, and my daughter and I have been very happy that we chose St Teressa's.
Cannot praise St Teresa's enough. The care and staff were outstanding. Very clean, activities are brilliant. We were so lucky to have found this brilliant home. My husband was really happy which made the family happy.
My wife has dementia, she has been a resident at St Teresa's since December 2020. The care she has and is receiving is superb, the carers are meticulous in every way in the care they provide to her. She is always very clean and always has clean clothes on, I couldn't be more happy or contented with the care she receives, I would have no hesitation in recommending St Teresa's care home to anyone who needs residential care to the highest possible standards.
My father was a resident at St Teresa’s for thirteen months. He didn’t want to go into a home, but at 94 it was a necessary step due to his health conditions. He was a very determined and demanding character. St Teresa’s is a beautiful place, lovely gardens and an impressive building. The staff made my father very welcome and did everything they could to ensure that he enjoyed the rest of his life in a happy atmosphere. He made the most of all the activities offered and enjoyed his time there. I would recommend that if you have a relative or friend that needs care that you try St Teresa’s, you will not be disappointed.
First impressions of this care home was good, but very soon after Mum's arrival this changed. Mum's mobility is very poor so she feels very isolated in her room due to no passing people and, unlike her previous home, doesn't seem to be checked on regularly enough. The nursing care is also poor for various reasons.
My mum was at St Teresa's for the best part of 2 years, myself and my brother and sisters cannot speak highly enough of the excellent care and support our mum received during that time. We appreciate the role of the staff can be demanding at times, yet the staff treated my mum almost like a good friend in this respect, I have to mention one staff member in particular who not only do we like immensely but who treated my mum so nicely that it was a great comfort for us knowing this staff member was around our mum. When our mum passed, all staff that night acted with care and support for our mum and us, and we would particularly like to thank the supervisor that night for her caring actions that night. We have to say the rooms, gardens and parking are excellent at St Teresa's, and we would highly recommend this care home for any ones loved ones.
My sisters and I have been immensely grateful for the care, support and love the staff gave our mother during the time she was a resident. There is no doubt that after a troubled life for many, many years, she was at her happiest at St Teresa's. Thank you, particularly for the last few days of her life. Calmness and sensitivity were shown by all the staff. Your support to us at Mum's passing was just amazing - gentle, compassionate and knowledgeable with a listening ear.
Place is very clean and well kept. Staff are excellent.
St Teresa's staff were always welcoming and helpful. They appeared to be kind and respectful to their patients. My sister always looked well cared for with tidy, combed hair. I was not normally present at meal times, so cannot comment on her reaction to them. There was always water and drinks available. Activities were important and enjoyed; there could have been more of them, but for wheelchair users, this requires a high level of staffing. Altogether, a pleasant, friendly home and well ratioed.
Professional staff - all teams - carers, nurses, entertainment, cleaning and kitchen. Treated Mum with kindness, compassion and dignity. Good facilities and entertainment programme. Moved in during Covid times, so limited visiting - staff support vital. Family welcomed, including in her final days. Thank you.
My mother was a resident in St Teresa's care home for five years, and before that, attended another care home for over 15-years. Although she was limited in her physical capabilities, she was mentally very able and enjoyed conversing with staff. The care staff were very caring and looked after Mum with warmth and treated her with dignity. She enjoyed the food and always said she felt well looked after, safe and secure, which made us feel happy that she was in the best place.
