View Full Details of Field HouseDad only had a brief stay at Field House following on from hospital discharge. The room he was given was clean light and airy. We felt safe and comfortable. The staff are amazing, kind, and caring, nothing is too much trouble. You all do such an amazing job. Thank you.
My aunt has stayed at Field House Care Home for just over a year. All staff are very accommodating and see to the welfare of her in a caring compassionate manner. The nursing staff have been excellent in ensuring she is well looked after. The food is cooked in the home which is good and cleanliness is a priority. Their staff are welcoming supportive and friendly and I would recommend the Care Home as it has been marvellous.
My mum stayed here, started with mum not feeling too well and finished much better. The nurse worked great with the Doctors to achieve this and the care staff were so professional kind, patient, caring and safety conscious. There was also entertainment which kept mum's spirits up, that team was great. The office staff were lovely helpful and kind. Mum became comfortable here and sad to leave. So very grateful to all the staff. A great team.
It has been a pleasure for my husband to be in Field House. The staff are excellent nothing was too much for them. There is a lovely atmosphere everyone happy and always greet with a smile. Very good activities and even those who were bed bound have a visit from someone. It really feels like home from home. Would not have a problem recommending Field House to other people. Brilliant place.
Mum was at Field House following a discharge from the hospital. In the 5 - 6 weeks she was there I saw her go from strength to strength. Excellent care home.
My Mum went to Field House for an assessment after surgery following a bad fall. She had always been independent and was uncertain how she would cope in a nursing environment. The staff from the carers to the laundry ladies were so kind that Mum felt at home almost immediately. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good (especially the puddings) and everything was cooked on the premises. I would like to thank everyone for their kindness. I would have no hesitation in recommending Field House.
My mother came to this home after spending several weeks in hospital due to fracturing her shoulder. From the first day Mum went into Field House until the day she was discharged to another care home, we were delighted with the care she received, although at first, she was quite confused. The staff made her very comfortable and the care was excellent in every way.
After spells in the hospital/rehab centre, my mum went to live at Field House on 14/9/23, where she stayed until passing away peacefully in her sleep on 10/10/23. The reality was that Mum was not going to get better, so it was a question of managing the situation as best as possible. This was achieved by the outstanding care she received from all the staff/management of Field House. Nothing was too much trouble despite the high level of care needed by Mum. The quality of care and the love and affection by which it was delivered were both a great source of strength and comfort to her family. In recognition of this, Mum's family have decided that donations in memory of Mum should go to Field House Care Home.
My husband moved into Field House from the hospital in September 2021 being expected to live only a few weeks. He eventually passed away August 2023 almost two years later. His prolonged life was almost entirely due to the wonderful care he received at Field House. I cannot praise the staff too highly for their dedication, nursing expertise, standards of food and cleanliness, and arranged activities, all carried out with kindness and concern for the residents. It didn't stop there. Visitors were always welcomed and invited to engage with staff. I certainly recommend Field House to anyone needing a home for any loved ones.
The care and attention given at Field House Care Home was exemplary. Rooms are comfortable, nicely furnished with a TV in each one. The management and staff were very kind, considerate and built up an excellent rapport with the people they tended. Laundry facilities are provided. Activities were given for residents to join in. Little trips out plus entertainment. The food was excellent with many drinks provided during the day. Bearing this in mind, I would highly recommend Field House.
Recently I have made a number of visits to Field House care home, to see my brother. I was impressed with the standard of care and kindness that he received. The care staff were respectful and always did their best for him at such a difficult time. His room was bright and clean, with plenty of stimulation for the residents. I found it to be an excellent care home and well-managed.
It is difficult to accurately score all of the qualities of the care home, but my sister has always appeared to be settled, comfortable and well looked after. I have met a range of staff with different responsibilities and have found them all to be caring and thoughtful people. My sister feels "at home" in Field House, and I feel she is in good hands when I leave. It would be lovely if the windows came down to the floor so that she could appreciate the view more easily.
My sister was transferred to Field House from the hospital on the 9th of November for assessment following a stroke at the beginning of August. Sadly she died on Sunday 20th of November. Although she was only a resident for just over a week, the care that she received from everyone was above and beyond what we could have expected. All the staff who looked after her were brilliant. Really kind and respectful. They made my sister's last days as comfortable as they could, and they looked after the family as well. I send my love and thanks to them all.
My father has spent the last four months being moved around in hospital. It was such a relief to find a care home that felt like home. A place where my father is treated with dignity and care. Outstanding support, compassion, care, and management. Lots of activities are shared in a monthly newsletter format, and distributed to families and residents so that they can choose suitable activities that interest them. For once I do not have to worry about my dad.
I think Field House is a brilliant place. They have been very good to my wife since she has been in Field House. The place is spotless, and my wife says the food is excellent and the staff are very good as well.
Mum was brought into Field House after a number of falls at home and a 2-month stay in hospital. At first, we thought that it may be short term but unfortunately mum had a stroke and 2 tia's not long into her stay. The staff acted immediately and were very compassionate. The decision was made with mum and the family that it was in her best interest to stay. She begged me to let her stay at Field House as she loved the staff and the care she was getting. This was not only from the nursing staff it was the cleaners, maintenance, laundry and kitchen all of whom interacted with her and made her laugh. The management were also involved with all decisions and visited mum often. I would strongly recommend Field House to anyone.
Field House is a credit to staff, management, carers, cleaners, activity and maintenance, and gardeners. The gardens and plants are outstanding. The home is spotless and very welcoming. Everyone is very approachable and caring. The way my mum's eyes lit up when carers and staff entered her room (which was spotless) was a great comfort to us. There are activities and day trips. Visiting at Christmas was magical, the decorations were outstanding and Christmas day fun. Mum was treated with love and dignity right to the end which we are truly grateful. Thank you Field House, you are all amazing.
My husband was on a Pathway 3 bed. There was Covid in the home so I was not able to judge in any great detail. On the last 2 days, staff were being good, caring and considerate.
I have had a relative staying at Fields House since October. She has had the utmost care and attention. When arriving, she needed constant nursing care which was provided day and night. To date, she is her old sparky self and speaks so highly of the kindness of the staff and wonderful food. She has made a friend and has made Fields House her permanent home. The Christmas decorations have been wonderful. Well done Field House!
My father was admitted to Field House for assessment after a stay in hospital. It was his first stay in a nursing home (despite being 100 years old), and I was anxious about how he would feel. I needn’t have worried. The home has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and the staff are all very professional, approachable, and kind. A sign of great teamwork and leadership. The standard of the rooms and communal spaces is very good indeed and there is a pleasant garden. Overall, it has been a very positive experience both for my father and for me, and I have no hesitation in recommending this care home to you.
