View Full Details of Hartcliffe Nursing HomeRecently my step-dad became a resident of this care home. We are extremely pleased with the standard of care he has been receiving. We are always greeted by happy staff who are always willing to help.
Hartcliffe Nursing Home is the most pleasant, nicest home I looked at. My husband felt at home straight away. The staff are outstanding in efficiency and pleasant. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Management explain everything they do and I don't mind repeating it. I would recommend anyone to live in Hartcliffe Nursing Home.
I'm amazed that this care home is not over subscribed. Communication is key and I've been proved to having made the right choice for my mother. Everyday, twice a day, 7 days a week there are activities for residents to participate in if they want to. Staff are friendly, caring and are proud to work here. The residents are happy and have regular meetings to voice opinions. Their doors are open as proved in a recent BBQ and music event where residents were joined by family.
I would just like to thank Hartcliffe Nursing Home for the fantastic care they give to my mum. Such a lovely nursing home, really friendly and such a warm and caring atmosphere. The staff work really hard and nothing too much trouble. Food lovely, would highly recommend this nursing home.
Mum who is 93 sadly needed to leave her flat where she had lived independently for 40 years to move into a nursing home. We were worried about how her reaction would be to this after always stating that she would not like this to happen. But we found this home and it certainly changed her mind, Mum has been there 3 weeks now and loves everything about it. The staff are all lovely, the place is spotlessly clean and the food is excellent. Thank you all for Mum's care she is receiving.
I have never wanted to go into a nursing home before but after no longer able to cope on my own I knew that this would be my only option. I am so happy now that I gave it a chance because I love everything about the place. The staff is lovely, the home is spotlessly clean and the food is nice. I never thought that I would join in with activities as it was not my thing but I am even enjoying being apart of them now.
Lovely warm friendly environment. The carers are very helpful and residents seem happy. The home provides lots of things to do - bingo, crafts, hand ball (balloon). the food is varied and diets catered for with a choice of menu. My mother-in-law has been here for 18 months and has been extremely well-looked after. The staff provide personal care and attention and she seems very fond of them.
Cannot say enough about the nursing home. My mother is very happy here - care and support 100%.
My brother and I are very happy with the care of our mum. All the staff are so friendly and caring with all they do for our mum. The staff always have the time to stop and chat with her and she enjoys their chats with her. She loves having her hair done at the hairdressers and the lounge. When the weather is better they will be able to take her into the garden which she loves to do.
There appears to be a lack of carers, certainly never enough hands. In the main, staff are friendly and warm there is a 'family atmosphere'. Activities are mixed, some great live music and fun games, sometimes they lack lustre depending on who is running them. My family and I are very 'hands-on in the care of mum. Sometimes this has been a necessity due to know one being about.
All I have to say is good positive things about Hartcliffe Nursing Home. Always dreaded the day when Dad would have to go into care. When the time came, the home made the transition very smooth and very easy. Dad settled really well and although this was just for a couple of weeks respite, he decided he wanted to stay. This made it very easy for the family as Dad took it out of our hands. Everyone from every department of this home is so friendly and now a few months on it feels like we have an extended family. We can’t thank them enough for agreeing to take Dad and for all the care he receives. We hope this is where he will stay till the end of his days.
Before my dad went into this nursing home, we were really worried as he always said he did not want to go into a nursing or care home. His dementia and cancer were at a stage, that myself and my sister could not do anymore at home. It was getting harder and harder, we had been doing this for 3 years. On arrival they made us feel so welcome and it was as if we knew everyone straight away. This home is very caring the staff are all very hard working and most of them always have a lovely smile. My dad is very comfortable and he absolutely loves it here. I would recommend this Nursing Home to anybody who is looking for help or even rest bite care, as Dad did start off with two weeks respite, then did not want to go home.
I have never been in such a lovely care home. The person I visit on a regular basis, cared for her for 31 years before she came into the care home. Never seen her so happy, there is just not one bad thing I could say about the home. Very caring and friendly staff.
My mum is generally very happy here from my point of view more attention to be paid to her personal needs. it would be nice if residents were regularly asked if there's anything needed to be done for example helped with undressing or a trip to the toilet etc.
Mum came to the home for end-of-life care, which proved to be just one week. During that week Mum told us how pleased she was with her room and how kind her nurses and carers were, both day and night. She was kept clean and tidy throughout her short stay. The whole process of fast-tracking her admission was dealt with very efficiently. The family felt well-supported during this time and was kept informed about what was happening. The staff were sensitive and caring towards the family following her death. The home manager and admin staff were also very helpful, informative and supportive.
I find the staff to be always helpful when talking to my mum. She has found the staff also helpful the games and activities are quite good.
Mother-in-law has taken a while to settle. A couple of small issues at the beginning but all ok now. The home is very nice and clean. The rooms are all spotlessly clean. Plenty of activities for residents. Food is lovely and always friendly staff. Residents are treated well and always seem to be enjoying themselves in the communal room. The staff have been absolutely wonderful with my mother-in-law.
After a horrendous week of respite at another local care home. I couldn't believe my good fortune whenmy husband was placed at Hartcliffe Nursing Home. Every single member of staff are part of a caring and loving family who go out of their way to cater for the residents' needs. The food and choices are of a hotel standard which forms a big part of some residents' daily routine. It is such a big comfort to know that my husband is being careful in such a lovely environment and so much better than he would be if he was at home with me.
The level of care my father receives is of a high standard. My mother was no longer able to provide him with the level of care he needed at home. Seeing how he is spoken to and treated, I have no concerns and I am grateful for everything that is done for him. Thank you.
I think the staff are fantastic. My dad seems really happy here and he really likes the people here.
