View Full Details of Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing HomeMy auntie was taken into emergency care on Christmas Eve at 4.30 in the afternoon, had it not been for the wonderful, amazing staff, she would not have survived. I had the pleasure of meeting them all on the 15th January and all I can say is wow, they go above and beyond not only for the residents but for their families also. Cannot thank them all enough, each and every one of them. I came away feeling content in the knowledge of knowing my aunt is cared for. Thank you.
My brother arrived at Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing Home in the summer, looking thin and gaunt and fragile and very confused. Each time I have visited, he has improved. On my latest visit, he was better than ever. So happy and well and contented. I know that this is thanks to all the care and personal attention you have given to him. I cannot come too often but I know when I leave him he is in good hands. With many thanks.
Wonderful staff, lovely home, the staff go above and beyond for residents, activities staff like to include everyone. Home manager is welcoming and always happy to help and support. Cleaning team makes sure the home is immaculate, kitchen staff provide lovely options.
My family have been very happy with the care my mother received during her three years at Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing Home. She was treated with kindness and consideration and was lucky enough to make some good friends amongst the residents. The staff ensured that she remained in the unit where she felt most comfortable and had the support of her friends. We always felt we could approach the staff with queries or concerns and were always listened to with patience and understanding.
In the three-plus years that my mother lived in Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing Home, it was so reassuring to know she was being well looked after. Any concerns that cropped up could be discussed with the staff and dealt with promptly. Everyone there was very caring and supportive. My mother also made good friends amongst the other residents and that was lovely to see. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Beach Lawns to anyone and would like to thank all of the staff for their care and support.
Could not be more satisfied with the care and attention given. The staff are absolutely "stars" in all respects.
Super care home, the place was always clean and well-maintained with pleasantly decorated surroundings. Residents have a variety of activities and are well looked after. That said, the stand-out stars are the staff, all were very caring to Mum and seemed happy in their work, thank you to five members of staff, in particular, and all their colleagues for looking after Mum.
Very friendly people and very good carers. Nice rooms and a lovely location with good parking the establishment always looks clean, front reception staff are very friendly also. Overall a nice atmosphere.
My nan has been a resident in the dementia unit at Beach Lawns since June 2023 and is very happy there. Having cared for her before she moved here, it gives great peace of mind knowing that she is being so well cared for and is happy. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them. It is lovely to see her joining in with the daily activities and seeing what the residents have been up to on the daily posts on their social media page. Nan has a lovely bedroom overlooking the seafront and it is like a home from home. There is a large conservatory which leads to a nice garden, and is great for getting her outside in the summer months. The food is very good and there is a great choice available. I would highly recommend Beach Lawns.
It's very welcoming and the staff a very kind friendly and helpful. It's just a great place to be. It's that simple.
My mom lived at Beach Lawn Home for over four years and recently passed while in the fast-track program nursing area. Overall, I was very pleased with her care. The staff was very caring and provided good care while in the main living area. I lived abroad, and when visiting, I found the home to be very clean, tidy and overall professionally managed. If your loved one transfers to the nursing section of Beach Lawns, and you live a distance away, I would recommend arranging to have relatives or close friends visit regularly. In addition, we hired professional caregivers to visit regularly. Initially, when my mom transitioned into the nursing section, her room window was left open all night during December and was discovered the next morning by a relative - the room was extremely cold. In addition, bathing care was not the best, as her hands and bed sheets were found to be soiled. After talking with the administrator (the second-in-command main administrator was out of the office), the situation was corrected.
My mother has been living in Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing Home for several weeks since being admitted to hospital with cancer. My mother will be there until her passing. I am very happy with her care, food, staff and overall, the friendliness of everyone who works there. Well done.
The care home is wonderful. It is attentive inside and out and the level of care is five star due to there being high numbers of superb staff. I would strongly approve of his care home 10/10.
I find the staff at Beach Lawns Care Home helpful and friendly. When I visit the care home to pick up my father, the staff are always willing to help, eg, by providing access through the lounge and opening the door so we can get to the car park. Many times I have asked the staff for help, and they have always been willing to help.
The home was excellent, the room was just what my father needed. Staff were attentive, and always helpful. My father improved during his staff so much he is returning home. Thank you Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing Home.
The manager needs more training on how best to communicate better with the families of the service users she cares for. She does not conduct herself professionally and gives the impression she does not care as long as the money service users is being paid. Now my relative is in a new care home, they can see a massive difference between a good home to a great home which the care home they were at previously does not seem to strive for. Funny how nothing has been pinched!? Some of the staff gave my relative cold showers and laughed. When they were challenged, they asked my relative why they had done that which falls under intimidation. Giving constant jam sandwiches is not looking after someone’s health. The call unit to call for assistance was constantly wrapped in cable and was not plugged in. The home’s laundry service needs to be improved as giving the wrong clothes could be contamination. Leaving someone in a room with a small desk fan when we have a heatwave is not good especially when it’s not communicated properly and then having their staff lie about it. I cannot fault some staff like the night time nurse and a head nurse.
Lovely staff and very happy here. The staff are so wonderful and always helpful.
I am very happy at Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing Home. The staff treat me with dignity and the nurses are first-class, the manager also treats me very well. The only complaint, the kitchen runs out of bananas, only joking. What else can I say? I am very happy, the food is first-class, as someone who enjoys their food.
Almost 15 years. Great food. Great care is taken of me. I am the quizmaster each week. So far, I have asked 90,550 questions.
Three weeks respite recovery after a short stay in hospital. A lovely location, right on the seafront at Weston-Super-Mare. Highly recommend. Twenty-four-hour nursing and personal care. Good selection of meals.
