View Full Details of Clevedon Court Nursing HomeDuring the short time that my Father-in-law was a resident, he received the most amazing, professional, and compassionate care. Everyone tried their utmost to overcome his problems, the management and staff provided wonderful support to our family at the most difficult time.
Following the death of my mother-in-law, who had been a resident for two years at the home, I want to express my thanks in the way she was cared for on the day of her death. The nursing and support staff showed real care and concern throughout this difficult time for my mother-in-law and family present. Staff were also extremely professional in their dealings with NHS medical staff when they arrived, keeping us informed of their progress.
I moved my stepmother to Clevedon Court Nursing Home because I was unhappy with the care she received in a previous setting. I was pleased with how well she looked soon after her arrival. The staff were lovely and provided excellent care.
I'm so happy to write about this lovely care facility. My mother was very concerned when it became necessary for her to move into a nursing home as she had previously had a horrible experience at another home. Clevedon Court Nursing Home has and is providing the most wonderful care for my mother, she feels very secure and safe, she is never lonely and the staff are all so warm, kind and friendly. I've been so impressed with not only the wonderful level of care but the cleanliness of the home, particularly the kitchen which is immaculate and the quality of the food is exceptional. I can not say enough good things about this lovely home and I'm so grateful that my mother is cared for so well.
The people who work in Clevedon Court Nursing Home showed kindness, respect and understanding to my aunt. Including the cook and kitchen staff who were also thoughtful and kind. We were nervous about my aunt going into a home but she was made welcome and made comfortable. I felt that the carers treated her like their own aunt. My aunt was surprised at how nice it was. Knowing my aunt was content took a great deal of pressure off of us.
We were very concerned when mum needed to move, she had had a bad experience in the past. The reviews for Clevedon Court Nursing Home were very positive and our experience has exceeded the reviews in every aspect. The staff are outstanding in the level of care and support they provide. They are well-trained and capable but the way they support mum is friendly and dignified. Mum feels safe and secure at all times. The home is clearly well-run by a team of people who understand the needs of the people they look after. Excellent
The kindness and care that the staff gave my mum and our family at this very sad time were exceptional. I am just so pleased that Mum was able to spend her last days at Clevedon Court.
I would like to thank all of the team at Clevedon Court Nursing Home. Mum was met with kindness and exceptional care. Mum really enjoyed her stay and I could relax knowing she was in safe hands. I would recommend Clevedon Court to friends looking for a caring environment for their loved ones.
My father moved into Clevedon Court Nursing Home last year in a quite unwell state, but with the staff’s care and attention to detail Dad is now thriving. We have been so impressed by the staff at the home who genuinely care about the residents and their well-being. A great example of this was that they enabled us to get my mum and dad together for their 65th wedding anniversary which was very special for us and challenging given the current circumstances. Clevedon Court is very well run and we are very happy with the service that Dad is receiving. Thank you!
My mother-in-law has lived here for two years, and her care has been fantastic. Whenever she has had periods of illness and been taken to hospital, they have contacted us straight away. During the Covid Pandemic, they have been marvellous, they have listened to Government Guide Lines, but have always put their residents first. Resulting in not having any Covid cases; truly amazing! We have stayed in contact with Mum all the way through the pandemic, and she is very happy and feels very safe. My husband was diagnosed with cancer at the end of 2019, and at times, unable to deal with everyday life. Clevedon Court has been very supportive of this to his Mum and also agreeing to me being the first point of contact. I would very much recommend Clevedon Court, it is well run, and the carer staff are amazing to the extent that Mum thinks of them as grandchild with her being 90!
My aunt is frail but mentally very sharp for her age. The care she has received has been particularly appropriate as her needs as an individual have been established and well communicated across the kind, dedicated staff who care for her. During Covid the standards of safety at the home have been outstanding and although this limited our access we were so grateful that she was safe.
My sister and I took the decision to move mum to Clevedon Court from her previous care home in 2018 and we have been more than delighted with our decision. Mum has vascular dementia, and we feared she did not have long to live. However, once the move to Clevedon Court took place, we noticed some really positive changes in Mum, and now in 2020, she is actually more responsive to stimulation from music (which she loves) and has fun. She is engaged and communicative, and bright. We now think she was thoroughly depressed at her previous home. I cannot begin to tell you the joy we feel in this transformation which I feel can be attributed to the following: 1. Excellent care from people who truly care and are constant, and clearly chosen by the management team for their loving kindness and expertise. 2. An engaging range of activities, even during this most difficult of years, including; Calls on skype, take part in fun things. Great food, happy carers - Thank you Clevedon Court.
This Nursing Home and the staff are all brilliant, kind, very caring and work so hard to maintain the highest of standards. My Mother has been there for 12 years and has always been happy there. She gets the love and attention and medical needs required. I can’t recommend this home highly enough, it’s an excellent Nursing Home.
Clevedon Court is a Nursing Home that I would recommend to anyone, they work as a team, seeing the resident and their family as a package ensuring that both are happy and content with the care given. Our dad went to the Nursing Home to recuperate after spending time in hospital, he hated the idea as he liked being at home. To our shock and surprise, he loved Clevedon Court so much he decided to stay. The Clevedon Court team supported our family during this period allaying all our fears. Today our dad is happy, has everything he wants or needs and you cannot ask for anything more.
I cannot speak too highly of the care I have received at Clevedon Court since my arrival during March 2020. The staff continue to be kept and considerate despite my impatience at times. The premises are kept very clean and the rooms adequately furnished. The food is 'institutionally' good. My main problem is one of mobility and my physio will continue to visit me once the lockdown is lifted. Similar arrangements will apply with my chiropodist. My only complaint is lack of signal for mobile telephone but I don't suppose the home can do anything about this.
My Mum is at Clevedon Court and I have such faith in the carers and staff. They show such empathy and compassion. They always have a smile for the residents. Nothing is too much trouble. They try to bring happiness to each and everyone which has not been easy in this challenging year. They have worked tirelessly to keep standards high. Thank you on behalf of Mum and our family.
My mum became a resident of Clevedon Court in August during lockdown which was the hardest time ever trying to source nursing care for her without being able to look around. I feel I have made the best decision ever, whenever I call, which is every day the staff are quick to update me on how she is and the phone taken to her which means a lot to us. Mum seems very happy being here and has built good relationships with the staff. More recently we have started to have door visits with her which is lovely. I feel without actually meeting the staff face to face due to COVID I have got a good relationship via telephone calls with them regarding my mum. Thank you.
I am happy here and cared for very well. If something goes wrong the staff deal with it very quickly and sort it out very well. I have to have very soft food as I have a damaged swallow and choke very easily. I cannot get on with pureed food so they ask me each day what I want to eat and get it for me. The staff are very kind and friendly and I do not feel lonely as I did where I was before I came here. I hope to spend whatever time I have left here.
This review is based on the care received in the palliative care unit and not the rest of the home. The room was small and for those who spend all day in their room, it is very isolating as there is nothing to see. The design of the room made it impossible to place the chair to enable anyone to look out of the window, though some rooms had no views. The room only had a toilet and washbasin, the shower was down the corridor and was also used as a storage room/visitors toilet. The unit was busy, on one occasion when I rang the call bell it was 15 mins before a member of staff appeared. The staff seemed friendly when I visited, but my husband told me that some were not so kind towards him, probably due to not being able to understand him due to his speech difficulties. End of life care left a lot to be desired and caused trauma due to lack of training of staff, this has now been addressed. Also, property was removed from the room without permission.
During the past 6 months, my husband has received the best care for his progressive illness from all staff, carers and nurses including, and especially, the kindness during his final days. There was great dignity and emotional support for us both. The carers are cheerful and friendly and I feel we have become family during my daily visits. I thank you all.
