View Full Details of The Manor HouseMy mother is a resident at Manor House and receives excellent care. All the staff are extremely caring, friendly and professional. When visiting we are always welcomed in and never feel in the way of the working of the home.
My mother has been a resident at The Manor House since April 2024. The manager and staff have helped her to settle with their kindness and compassion and care for her with the utmost respect and dignity, so much so that she is now able to call it her home. Something she struggled with immensely as she did not choose to leave her own home but her illness brought the change about. The building is light and airy and has a very friendly, calm atmosphere. Her room is always clean and there is a fresh smell to the home. We all are made to feel very welcome at any time. The consistency and kindness of carers has had a big impact on settling Mum, and she has built a good rapport with the staff. All staff take time to call in and chat for a while which she enjoys. The nurses took great care of her too and kept us well informed when Mum was poorly- communication is key and helps us so much. We all, as a family, feel so happy that Mum is cared for so well and that she is comfortable and happy.
My lovely mum moved into the care home approximately 2 years ago. It was a worrying time for Mum and the family. As soon as we arrived at her new home we were warmly greeted on the driveway by smiling staff who took great care to make Mum feel comfortable and safe in her new environment. She had her own private room ready for her. I knew I had done the right thing for Mum as she settled in quickly. Mum spends most days in the lounge area where staff keep a close eye on her. There is usually music playing and the staff involve the residents in lots of activities. Birthdays are always celebrated with cake and there is a Christmas party which family and friends join in. The staff are just lovely they truly do lovingly care for their residents and are so kind. I don't think Mum could receive any better care than here and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking at a care home for their loved one. I feel very lucky that I have found this special place for my mum.
Always satisfied and assured that Mama was cared for throughout her time at the home. Will not forget the kindness and affection. Eternal thanks. Her final hours were filled with love and concern for her comfort and peaceful passing. Truly grateful.
My beloved wife was discharged from hospital in mid-January 2023 to The Manor House Care Home for end-of-life care, being too frail to survive the major surgery which was required. At The Manor House, she was nursed with affectionate, professional and attentive care until her death in mid-April. The management and their team of carers showed great compassion throughout - to my wife as well as to me and my family. We are truly thankful for the care she received.
My father spent his last four months as a resident at The Manor Care Home in Uphill. Although he was confined to bed he enjoyed the view from a large quiet room that overlooked the back garden. The Manager, nurses and care staff all did their best to keep him as happy and comfortable as possible. Meals were taken to him promptly and care staff were very encouraging and patient when feeding him. He was always kept clean and presentable and treated with full dignity. I was always kept updated about any changes in his condition.
Following a severe stroke, my wife is bedbound. She has become content with the situation and is happy with the nursing and contact with staff. She finds it difficult to understand some of the staff, however, is pleased with the cheery manner of all.
When our uncle arrived, he was just in need of some help. In the end, he needed help with every aspect of his life. From when the manager changed, this looked up. The end of life care was above everything we could have asked for.
My mum lived at The Manor House for some seven weeks on end of life care. During the time that she was there, she was treated by all management and staff with love and attention. All staff treated us, her family, with respect and love too. It made a very difficult situation for our family a little easier to bear.
My wife was a resident here from August until she died from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in November. The staff were always caring and dealt with her specific needs, which were fairly demanding, in a cheerful and understanding way, though the food she could eat and enjoy was limited. They changed rooms for her at her request. The atmosphere in the home was always friendly and you could feel the good vibes. The cleanliness was very good and the home always smelt fresh. The staff always treated me with respect and kept me informed of any changes in her condition. They also supplied me with copious cups of coffee and arranged the occasional meal for me so I could spend more time with her. My wife told me on several occasions that she was really happy that I had chosen this home to care for her.
The manager and the staff were very caring. Mum did not feel well enough to use any of the communal facilities but the extra support of nursing staff resolved some of the problems that preceded her stay and she was able to return to her sheltered housing. She enjoyed the food.
My brother is a resident here. Throughout the pandemic the Management and Staff have been so supportive, I cannot fault them in any way. The staff are professional and have done everything they can to keep everyone safe. When I've been unable to see my brother, I've had regular contact and updates from them. The current manager is very knowledgeable and he and the staff go above and beyond to ensure my brother is happy and well cared for. Many thanks.
My father is a resident and suffering from dementia. He is well cared for and well presented whether in his room or the day room. The team and the manager are available to answer any queries with regard to Father's care. Very pleased with the care he is receiving.
The Manor House staff are excellent and caring. Total vibe in the house is very good.
Very pleased to have placed my mother in this home. She is well cared for and management and the team take her wishes for food, drink and activities into account. My mother is also very pleased with the care saying it is "second to none".
My sister lived in The Manor for nearly three years. Everyone who works there is very pleasant, from the time they open the door to visitors. The clients and visitors are well looked after with many cups of tea and biscuits. Everyone always looked so comfy in their chairs and entertainment was well received on occasions. This home is very clean without any smells - unlike some I have visited. All members of my family that visited The Manor were very impressed with the kindness and attention given to the clients. It's a real home from home.
My mother is very well looked after by the nurses all of my family couldn't be happier with how well she is treated. The manager takes much pride in the running of the home. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here to be looked after.
The whole team at The Manor have great compassion and empathy. The senior management were always available if needed and would offer extra support where needed. This support was also offered to us as a family as well as to my mother during her time there.
My father-in-law often boasts how he got bacon and eggs for breakfast. The Manor House provided excellent care and supported all of his desires and needs. Even under, sometimes, difficult circumstances.
My cousin is end of life in the Manor House. The care and kindness they have shown to him is excellent. The staff are all very kind and helpful The manager is very hands-on and if there is a problem, it's sorted straight away. I find The Manor House is very homely.
