View Full Details of OaktreeMy mum moved to Oaktree a year ago, it was difficult decision to place mum in a care home but from the first conversation with the Deputy Manager I was reassured that their purpose was to care for my mum and the team has really demonstrated that and this has given me great comfort. They quickly got to know her and her likes and dislikes and have made her new home very comfortable. They contact me immediate to ask questions or provide information about her health, even using video call to show her how a mobile phone worked. When I visit I see how they care for residents with in some cases progressive dementia with patience and compassion. I'd like to thank all the staff, keep up the great work. Your CQC result is well deserved.
My dad came to Oaktree mid May, dad first came as respite but after a few weeks it became permanent. We know the staff at Oaktree very well on the snowdrop unit as my sweet Nan had been loved and cared for there. Nan came to stay as end of life as doctors had thought Nan would pass within a few weeks, 5 years later Nan passed, the love and care my Nan received was amazing, my Nan was part of the family and that's how it felt at all times. Even during the hard covid pandemic when we couldn't go to see Nan one of the amazing managers gave me his number and I got to see Nan on a video call, they went up and above during such a hard time and made sure as a top priority my Nan and others were made to be priorities. So when dad went to stay we knew already how amazing the Oaktree family was, my dad was looked after so well, he was always clean and tidy and even on really difficult days shown great patients. We are so so grateful to each and everyone at Oaktree. Thank you all.
On first impressions, the staff seem very friendly and very knowledgeable.
Very friendly and welcoming. Stepmother is happy and is well known already! Food fresh, real food! Plenty of staff. Only been here a couple of weeks but very impressed with the staff.
I arrived at approximately 4 pm. Plenty of space in the car park. A lovely male member of staff was holding the door for us. Oaktree is always clean, tidy and presentable. The staff here are truly wonderful and cannot do enough for you. I had a memorable and uplifting conversation with Nana this afternoon. Nana was telling me how kind and caring everyone is. This gives me great comfort and solace when I leave as I know she is treated like the queen she is. Thank you all.
I am so pleased and contented that my husband is a resident at Oaktree care home. The staff are amazing, so cheerful and gently kind to residents and visitors alike. My husband is happy, well cared for and takes part in all the activities that are provided throughout the week. I can't thank them enough.
My mother is a recent resident. She is settling into life at the home. All the staff have been friendly and helpful with Mum. They had to call an ambulance for her this week but they rang and alerted us to the issue.
Staff have worked very hard, making Halloween a success. The decorations are great, a lot of thought and planning has gone into it. Mum thinks the spiders are very realistic. Keep up the good work.
We've just Mum into Oaktree after a stroke. This is all very new to us all and everyone has been kind and welcoming especially to Mum. It all seems very promising.
We have just moved our mum into Oaktree. So far the staff have been very attentive. We look forward to having Mum nice and local.
Very friendly staff and helpful. You have your own room and ensure. The cat is a great touch for the residents. Small rooms, but adequate. Looks clean and hygienic.
Management is great and so are most of the staff. There are a few that have an 'I don't care' attitude. Activities for mobile residents are fantastic however those that are bedridden are left out most of the time. Food options are lacking and staff don't take the time to wait for answers.
Oaktree, you have given me my husband back, and his children their father back. He was so ill, your care and your hearts have given him the strength to carry on. He is so happy, he gets stronger every day. All staff are so happy in their jobs and give their hearts. We, I, include myself because the staff including me, have so much, there is always music, singing, dancing and crafts going on. I love you all.
Some staff could do with more training in talking and reassuring the residents when they are helping them. Then you have a few that are excellent. The food is ok, but sometimes what they serve as a meal does not constitute a meal. And how many times can one place serve baked beans? The management are very good and when they are short-staffed will frequently cover shifts themselves.
The staff that look after my dad are warm, kind and funny. I feel he is well looked after. The staff try to include my dad in activities. The manager and staff have checked in with me and my mum and informed us of how he has been.
Second respite here! Overall experience excellent.
Mainly good to excellent.
I do believe my mum feels safe in the home. From what I have seen she is treated with dignity by the staff. Thank you.
The care my husband has received is kind, respectful and of a high standard. All the staff are friendly, interested in the residents and give excellent care. Due to his condition, my husband resists personal care which needs patience and this is shown in a gentle way. When he arrived in Oaktree he couldn't walk, or feed himself and was doubly incontinent due to being in bed in his previous home. Within days in Oaktree he was walking, feeding himself and using the toilet. Occasionally little things crop up but I can always talk to the staff who go out of their way to see to it.
My grandma was happy singing along to oldies when we arrived. Nana is very content here and staff are always very helpful.
