View Full Details of Trewidden Care HomeI am more than happy with the care and support my sister has received in the eight months she has been here. She is very happy and content and loves the staff, who are so kind and understanding to her. I have peace of mind now knowing she is so safe and happy. I would not like her to be anywhere else. Big thanks to all the staff and management.
We were apprehensive when Mum went into the home, however, we are thrilled that she's in a home in the town she's lived in all her life. The level of service and professional care at Treidden Care Home has been outstanding. The wonderful staff show a great fondness for all of the residents, treating them with care, empathy and the utmost respect. Mum is very settled at Trewidden and loves her new home and for that, we cannot thank the staff enough. Thank you Trewidden.
What caring staff at Trewidden Care Home. The residents are so lucky to have such wonderful views. Every time I go to visit dad the staff are warm and welcoming. It must be such a hard job but they keep smiling and they go above and beyond. One member of staff in particular has been an absolute star, what a kind caring girl she has bent over backwards to support my family through what is a tough time having a family member with dementia. She is always at the end of the phone or email when she's available to reassure me. The work that goes in from staff members to arrange events is so wonderful! The food looks great. Thank you.
Mum was first visited whilst in hospital in May 2024. She was assessed to see if she would be an appropriate type to fit in at the home. Within a week or so she moved to Trewidden. First impressions were very good, staff and residents alike very welcoming. It was difficult time for us as a family to make a decision that Mum after several bad falls at home would be better off at Trewidden. She has settled well. All down to the caring staff.
My mother-in-law moved into Trewidden for end of life. All the staff have been sensitive, caring, highly organised and efficient. Their system ensured the high level of continuous ongoing fastidious support demanded by her complex needs at 90. Her care was excellent. All the staff we met were wonderful. It was lovely that they were able to share personal experiences/knowledge they have with her. They treated us sensitively, kindly and respectfully at all times. The whole "end of life" experience was as good as it could possibly have been. Thank you to everyone involved.
I appreciate the care for my husband. He is always clean and love is taken over his appearance. I don't see him doing any activities but I see photos from the staff.
A care home that tries its best to look after each individual's needs. All the staff try their best and are kind to all of our families.
I was extremely lucky that my brother was accepted at Trewidden Care Home. The staff are very patient with my brother's outbursts of frustration, in his change in circumstances. I am kept fully informed of any changes. My brother's room is kept immaculately. The staff are stretched at times but remain cheerful and always welcoming.
My mother has been in Trewidden Care Home since February 2022. I have the utmost respect for all of the staff, I knew from the first time I went in how amazing the home was, it smells lovely, clean and fresh, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. My mother was quite unsettled when she first arrived but they have been so good with her and each time I go I can see how settled and happy she is which gives me peace of mind as I don't live locally so thank you to all the staff for all you have done and continue to do for her.
Really happy with the care being provided for my Mum. The staff are really approachable and keep me informed at all times. I am abroad for most of the year so it is really important for me to know I can contact Trewidden at any time.
My wife is in this home and she is looked after very well. The staff are excellent and any complaint that I have is put right. The food is excellent, the manager is first class.
In control of care to residents. Very approachable to residents.
Since visiting your home I am very happy that my mum is in a lovely home and I know she is safe and cared for. All your staff are very caring to all the residents and nothing is too much trouble and everyone seems happy.
Trewidden Care Home is like a home from home. We are greeted by smiling friendly staff who are always very helpful. Trewidden Care Home is the only home that I have ever entered that does not smell like a care home. When visiting my mother, I have not even had time to park my body onto a chair before being offered a cup of tea or coffee by the friendly staff. It is always clean and tidy and all residents appear to be nicely dressed and well cared for.
I find the staff very caring and kind towards the residents. The home is clean and not smelling. My Aunty seems very happy there despite having dementia. They always make me very welcome, although I do not visit on a regular basis because my Aunty seems to recognise me, you cannot hold a conversation with her.
I am very pleased with the level of care my wife is receiving. I now find it difficult to see my wife under the present circumstances and I prefer to remember the wonderful woman that was my wife.
My husband has been at Trewidden Care Home for almost 12 months. His care has been 2nd to none. The staff are lovely as are the housekeepers. They take into consideration his wishes to be clean, tidy and his dignity. The staff make sure that he is comfortable and respect his wishes be it cups of tea on request or someone to sit and chat too.
When visiting my sister, I find everyone to be very pleasant and helpful and the staff willing to answer any questions I may have regarding my sister’s health and welfare.
After the first few days of my wife having difficulty accepting her new situation, she began to settle down and soon was in a happy frame of mind. She felt safe. She was comfortable and I was convinced she was being looked after well. All members of the staff were seen to be consistently giving attention to each resident and did so with enthusiasm and encouragement. All of which was pleasing to me and my thanks are due to the staff.
My sister in law moved from "residential" care to more appropriate "care home". As this was a move determined by the local authority (due to a serious deterioration of her dementia) we were apprehensive as locally the care home rebranded "Trewidden" had a poor reputation. However, upon visiting immediately after her move, we were greatly reassured. A lovely newly painted room, with sea glimpses and a very new en-suite. Staff and manager are great and our relative quickly settled and is happy.
