View Full Details of The Elms Care CentreThe Elms Care Centre is excellent, everyone who works there is caring, compassionate and efficient, nothing is too much trouble for them, they put the residents first. I visit my husband most days and have never had any calls for concern which is a great comfort to me knowing he is being so well cared for. Everyone there goes that extra mile and I admire them so much.
My cousin has been a resident of The Elms Care Centre for the last fifteen months, I really can't praise them enough, the staff are second to none, so caring, nothing too much trouble for them, from nursing staff, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, caring staff to office staff, all interact with residents which I think is just lovely. I can visit at anytime, within reason, and always made to feel welcome. The icing on the cake was when I took her to her bungalow (where her daughter still lives), after an hour she said, "I'm ready to go home now", to me that spoke volumes, that's how well she settled in and that is all down to the kindness of all the staff.
My Mum is very up and down at the moment. I decided to pay and go ahead with trying to get her to the Christmas party. Two days leading up Mum was in bed. Then on the party morning I received a phone call from the activities lady saying Mum was up and her new Christmas jumper on. I was so emotional as didn't think Mum would make it this year. She had such a great time. Singing along to the Christmas songs (in her own words) I can't thank the care staff and activities ladies enough for making this happen. So very grateful to have this lovely memory.
My sister has been a resident at the care home for over three years. She is not always an easy person to get on with but has always had the very best care. I visit every week, and, as a retired deputy head, I am well used to assessing buildings, staff and facilities, and have always seen only the best. My sister is clean, well-dressed, 'aroma' free and I am so pleased she is cared for as she is. It takes a huge weight off my mind as I have Power of Attorney both financially and for health.
Made a hard decision to put my mother-in-law in for 2 weeks of respite care. She has been so well looked after, staff amazing, food delicious home cooked and plentiful. She has even socialised and joined a few activities. She is well enough to return home now, gained a few pounds and looks better than she had for months. The Elms is not a purpose-built modern home but it's quirky and clean - we wanted for nothing. Highly recommend, thank you to you all.
The Elms is a very caring home with lovely staff, who go above and beyond with their residents.
The team at The Elms Care Home are committed to providing excellent care to all the residents and this is evident in all the attention and kindness shown to each individual. The Elms is a happy environment and all the team interact with residents, making their lives as good as they can be.
My mother has been a resident at The Elms for four years, and I am very happy with the care that has been given to her, especially during the Covid pandemic. Previous to this, she has always been well cared for, her room is clean, and all her needs ate provided. I am now able to visit her once a week, although she no longer knows who I am, it is still nice to see her!
Mum was happy, well looked after. I felt at ease that she was being looked after. Every time I popped over to see her the staff took time to talk to me. If Mum needed to go into a home full time I wouldn't hesitate asking The Elms to take her.
Excellent staff across the whole business. Food and service very good. Comfortable.
Dad was very happy at The Elms. He was treated with dignity and respect and all the staff were helpful and genuinely cared for him. We were grateful to know he was safe and being looked after as we live a long way away.
Caring, friendly and the food is excellent. I would not mind being in this care home if something happened to me.
Well looked after with all my needs met.
They do their best - more staff would help.
Since my mother has been a resident of The Elms Care Centre we have been frequent visitors and have always found the staff helpful, we are very happy with the standard of care which my mother is receiving.
I think the home is very helpful. My friend has stayed several times and always liked the home and staff. If I have to go into a home this would be it.
The Elms Care Centre staff are friendly and caring. The meals are excellent and there are always drinks available. There are activities including live music and trips out in the minibus. I would recommend The Elms Care Centre to friends and relatives.
All staff are, in my opinion, very helpful and very efficient in all duties. In my time of need, help and advice is to hand at all times. A very friendly and efficient team at all times.
My wife went into The Elms on the 23rd September 2013. I cannot fault the care that she receives or the treatment that we both get from staff. I could not answer all the questions below two were not really relevant. This year a donkey was brought into the home he was taken into my wife's room and there was a definite reaction. We used to have horses and I think she remembers the feel and smell that she loved so much. Thank you all at The Elms.
I feel The Elms Care Centre provide a high standard of care and overall I am very happy.
