View Full Details of King Charles CourtI used to look after Mum at home, but this became too much for me. It took me a long time to let go and have faith in someone else’s ability to care for her in the way I did. We are very close, and I needed to know she wouldn’t feel abandoned by me. Although King Charles Court may not have the best-looking building in the area, I feel it the management and staff truly are the best. They put every effort into making Mum’s life (and the lives of all the residents) as for filled as they can be. I would have no problem recommending this caring home to anyone who needs a loving home for their loved ones.
My Mum broke a bone in her spine and was unable to care for herself and had limited mobility. The manager and all her staff showed my Mum and I so much care and support. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are a really happy bunch. They take so much care of their residents, always have time to sit and chat with them. My Mum was treated with dignity and respect. She has been encouraged to get mobile again and helped considerably through the whole process. She is now able to return to her own home. The manager has also supported me through the whole process and offered advice and support when it was needed.
My brother and myself will always be so very grateful for the care given to our late father whilst he was resident at King Charles Court. All the care team showed him compassion, support and reassurance when he became anxious at times. This care came from the manager right down through the whole nursing team - quite exemplary.
Mum's nursing care was the best we as a family could have asked for. The team listened to our requests for Mum's needs and they worked hard to achieve these. Her end of life plan was discussed and all the requests were met. A 'home from home'.
We would like to thank all the staff for their dedication and exceptional level of care given to our mother whilst in your care. We know from first-hand experience having visited on many occasions, that the staff all made a difference to her quality of life no matter who was on duty regardless day or night we know she received the same professional dedication and quality of care and for this, we are forever grateful. We seriously cannot express our gratitude and thanks enough for everything you have done for her during her stay. In simple terms truly remarkable team and truly exceptional care home.
Two years ago my wife was diagnosed with Parkinson's and in January 2017 she was admitted to hospital and treated for pneumonia. She required, full time nursing care and found a place at King Charles Court and went there 6/2/17. Her general health has improved with the excellent care provided. This care is given with professional competence and understanding. The staff at all levels, from the manager to the newest trainee show kindness and care for my wife and us, her family and friends. There is a complete absence of petty rules but you are aware of a strict code of practice and gives confidence of the safety of our loved ones. We are very well aware the Parkinsons cannot be reversed but all the staff and I mean all with whom she is in daily contact makes her day as bright as possible.
Having moved Dad from one nursing home to King Charles Court, we were absolutely thrilled by the improvements in the quality of his care. At our initial meeting with the manager, she expressed how kind all her carers were as this was one of her essential requirements. This was absolutely reflected in our experience and was reassuring knowing that all the staff cared and loved Dad, taking care of his needs at all times. They also cared for our Mum who visited Dad daily. Nothing was too much trouble and as a family, we can't express enough our gratitude to all the team who will always remain close in our hearts.
My father-in-law was admitted to King Charles Court in 2014 after his Parkinson's developed into more than could be managed in the family home. Over the next three years, the care, love and attention by all of the staff there (including cleaners, cooks, domestics) could not have been surpassed. They managed to create a homely caring environment where my father-in-law was comfortable and respected. The whole family visit my father-in-law on a daily basis, always one or two of us each day. No time constraints and able to visit whenever we wanted. It was as if he was being cared for by our own family. Cannot praise the staff there too much. Always prepared to "go the extra mile" for his care and comfort.
I would like to thank and record my admiration for the treatment my friend has received over the past 3-4 years and the brilliant staff and management. Please pass on my regards and thanks for my friend's treatment.
Mum came to King Charles Court in 2014, she was extremely happy there, and classed it as her home. I am overwhelmed with all the staff at King Charles Court, from the management right down the line. At the end when mum was fading away, the dedication and care was second to none. They treated my mum with dedicated dignity. They even called in staff who were off duty to come in to say goodbye, I am so grateful for that. This care home is nothing but wonderful, all I can say is, thank you. Thank you and keep up this wonderful care to people who in their last years, deserve nothing but the best care. They deserve 5* experience and I will always pass this onto others.
We would be happy to recommend this nursing home. My mother was very happy with the services provided by very attentive, professional and friendly staff. We were always made to feel welcome when visiting. It was a great comfort to us to know she was being well cared for. The food was of a very high standard and the home itself was kept very clean and tidy. After being ill for some time it was wonderful to see her laughing, smiling and joking with the staff when she was in King Charles Court.
Every time that I have visited my mother, on no occasion have the staff been other than extremely pleasant and welcoming. Absolutely no duty or service given is other than of the highest quality. My mother very quickly settled into her new life at King Charles and is full of praise for all that is done for her. The staff always listen to any concerns I might have concerning my mother and value any suggestions I may have. I could very willingly recommend this nursing home.
I feel my mum was sent down the home to die, she was very poorly when she went in there. They have been so good to her, she has had over four years and most of them very good years. Their care was excellent.
My mum lived at King Charles Court for nearly two and a half years until she passed away in January. It was a great comfort to know that she was being so well cared for by such a professional, kind and caring team. Everyone was friendly and approachable and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, the environment clean and well tended and she very much enjoyed the activities, parties and trips out. The nursing team provided kind, responsive and professional care. There was excellent liaison with the various health professionals who supported mum's care and warm and skilled management and leadership.
