View Full Details of Addison ParkMy husband was only there for a week of respite. I found it a lovely home and the staff I met were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. My only concern was that he came home without his toothbrush and paste, 1 pair of jogging bottoms missing, 2 tops missing, 3 pairs of soft top socks missing, despite me marking everything but overall I'm happy.
My mother-in-law came to you just after Christmas 2023, after quite a long time in hospital. Memory not good, not taking care of herself, we had been looking after her for several years, she refused carers, my health deteriorated then Covid. Since Mum has been in your care, she has her sense of humour back. We can talk to her, she loves joking and having conversations with your lovely staff. We can't thank you enough for your hard work. Everyone is so friendly and much more.
Lovely home, with warm and friendly staff, and no issues.
Everyone has been friendly and helpful. The only thing that could have helped is more information at the beginning when my friend came to the home from the hospital. Has my friend got a care plan? There has been no contact from social services and do not know the plan moving forward. Many thanks.
My wife, who has Alzheimer's and needs 24/7 supervision, feeding and toileting, washing and dressing, has been cared for on two occasions of one week at Addison House. The caring has been fantastic, and she has been clean and happy when I have picked her up. Because she is very mobile, I know she is safe and secure at Addison House.
Assison Park Care Home is the most caring and beautifully run home. My mother has been a resident for a year and a half now, and she has experienced nothing but kindness, gentleness and superb professional care from the exceptionally, lovely staff who run the home. The atmosphere is always warm and friendly. Staff are always attentive and thoughtful. We can't thank them enough for their superb care of our mother in her later years, and thoroughly recommend the home for your loved ones.
I have nothing but the highest level of praise for the excellent care my mother has received during her stay at Addison Park. Without exception I have witnessed every member of staff treat her and all the residents with the utmost kindness, dignity and patience, all delivered with a happy, relaxed disposition.
Mum has lived at Addison Park for twelve months now and has been treated with extreme care and dignity. The care staff are exceptional and have gone out of their way to make her feel comfortable and loved. She has been encouraged to mix with other residents in communal areas and has, consequently, made friends. Her health and happiness have improved dramatically. Her hundredth birthday was celebrated with an amazing tea party in a room decorated with bunting and fairy lights. One staff member had given her a wash and set as a present and another had given her a treasured cuddly toy and had even given up her day off to attend. Addison Park is not a palace, but it is a home from home.
Addison Park has given my mum excellent care, they are very attentive, kind, caring and understanding of my mum's needs and I thank all the caring staff who have a very difficult job to do. They do it with care and compassion.
My Mum is being looked after so well by all the staff at Addison Park. We were so worried when I could no longer manage her care at home and the staff made the whole process so much easier. My mum is well looked after and the staff really do take the time to look after her complex needs. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The manager is a modern day hero and all her staff deserve medals.
We were pleasantly surprised how well my aunt looked when we came for a visit. It was the first time we had seen her in a few months owing to the long distance between us. Her room was bright and clean and a good size. All the staff we spoke to were pleasant and cheerful. The only complaint from my aunt was the food. She said it was very, very basic.
We had to place our father-in-law here for respite care and can't praise (or thank!) the staff enough for their wonderful care and help.
I find all the staff to be very caring towards my mum and will do their best to help with any requests that we make.
My father is at Addison Park. This home is amazing. The staff are all brilliant. They go above and beyond to help my dad. They are friendly, hard-working, and very caring. It puts my mind at rest knowing Dad is safe and being cared for. Thank you, everyone, you’re doing a great job.
My friend has been here for nearly 8 years and we have seen a lot of managers come and go. Now it's the best it's been. The home feels like a home. My friend is always presented clean and tidy, his needs are met. One thing that has been the same is the excellent staff who are always friendly and knowledgeable.
My stay at Addison Park was excellent. I was treated 100% by the staff and management. The food was excellent, couldn't be better. I would recommend anybody to stay there. I had two pelvic fractures and had all the help when needed. Lovely staff.
My father originally went to Addison Park in 2020 for respite after a spell in hospital. He returned home for a trial period however wasn’t coping well and it was decided he would do better with permanent care. Dad asked to go back to Addison Park and a place was found for him last July, he’s now settled and happy there, he says it’s a lovely place. Unfortunately due to problems caused by the Covid pandemic I haven’t been unable to visit often or to see Dad's room however I think the staff have coped well with the added problems and done their best to facilitate visiting and help me keep in touch with Dad. I haven’t commented on the food as I haven’t personally seen any of the meals served although Dad has mentioned he thought meals were not as nice as when he first went to the home. My dad can be challenging at times due to dementia but the staff are always patient with him and nothing is too much trouble. It’s a relief for me to know dad is safe, happy, and well cared for at Addison Park.
Dreadful: the building has little, poky rooms with limited washing facilities and narrow corridors. Staff turnover has increased rapidly recently and there is no sense of being welcome when visiting: being turfed out after only thirty minutes is unsatisfactory, to say the least. But the really dreadful development is the food situation. The kitchens have been ripped out and kitchen staff dismissed, to be replaced by frozen ready meals heated up in the microwave. Home-cooked cakes with afternoon tea and for birthdays are no longer provided. Don't they understand how important food is to residents who have little else to look forward to? Providers of ready meals may protest that they are balanced and nutritious, but we all know that they taste odd, are too salty, and are mostly mush. My sister loathes them. Furthermore, her food allergy means that there is often nothing whatsoever suitable for her to eat. This is a dereliction of the duty of care and should be put right immediately.
Dreadful. This place should have been closed down many years ago and apparently, it was in 2015 so not up to scratch now either! Unprincipled people running the place, have little knowledge of what the patients and their family require. Sadly the wheel keeps on turning and they are still operational sadly. Time for everyone to make the noises of close down and allow these poor patients to find a better place to live and endure happier times in their last few months/possibly years of their lives, surely that could have been made available, but seemingly not!
Wonderful, thank you all! The Manager and every one of the staff members at Addison Park are so kind and caring. Could not wish for better care for my parents, who are being pampered 24/7. The home has a welcoming and happy atmosphere, residents seem contented. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon when lockdown is lifted.
