View Full Details of Knappe Cross Care CentreUpon leaving the hospital I awoke to a warm and friendly welcome at Knappe Cross Care Centre. I had no idea what had happened to me but it didn't matter because I soon became a part of it all, soon I was a happy resident and still am.
There are no words to describe how amazing Knappe Cross is. All the staff are incredible, the manager, the deputy manager, the care staff, the chef, the housekeeping, all of them. At such a difficult time for a family, they have made this time a lot easier. It was so hard to see my dad not return home from a month's visit to the hospital, but all the staff have really helped us all, and we can't thank you all enough for everything. Dad is still there, and he still thinks he is having a fabulous holiday. Bless him.
Wow - what an amazing place for my dad to spend his last few weeks. The staff are amazing, everybody is so helpful and friendly. The place is spotless no matter what time you call in. I couldn't have asked for a better place for my dad at such a difficult time. I will never be able to replay the staff what they deserve.
All the staff have been amazing to my dad and the whole family. At such a difficult time to take a loved on to a care home, the staff have not only supported Dad, cared for him, but heled us as a family also. Such an amazing group of people and such an amazing place. We just can't thank them all enough.
My dad was moved to Knappe Cross from hospital and he immediately felt comfortable with the staff and settled quickly. The staff involve us as a family in decisions on Dad's care. The staff team all seem happy in their work. They are friendly and helpful and show the residents a good deal of respect. The building is lovely but in parts, old. The owners are aware and are dealing with the building issues. The manager is also up for ideas around how the already good food and activities can be improved to make them excellent. Currently there are new staff being trained but I am confident they will be as great on the other team members.
I am unable to find words to thank all at the home for the caring and compassion shown to my husband and me during his stay in the home. Nothing was too much and trouble and he was so happy with everything. I would recommend Knappe Cross to anyone who needs a loving, caring home.
Every time I have visited mum at Knappe Cross Care Centre I have met staff who are caring, knowledgeable, and considerate, treating those under their care with respect and compassion. The care is exemplary, as far as I can tell, and residents with quite significant medical difficulties are given comfort, dignity and support. I would like to thank all at Knappe Cross for looking after my mum as well as they are doing.
My husband was discharged from hospital to Knappe Cross originally for rehab. Due to his ongoing complex issues, he is not well enough to come home and will be staying at Knappe Cross. It was a total lottery for my husband to be discharged to Knappe Cross but in all honesty, it feels like we've won the lottery. I couldn't wish for a more caring environment with such amazing staff looking after him. They are amongst the most friendly and caring people I have ever come across, they really go the extra mile to make the residents comfortable and as happy as possible. This is across the board and I cannot thank every single one of them enough. The food is lovely, my husband is a vegetarian and every meal is beautifully prepared and presented, he loves to eat. However long my husband is with me I know he will be looked after in the way that I could only wish for Heartfelt thanks to you all!
The care Knappe Cross gave to my mother was amazing. She had a fall in February and after many weeks in hospital and at another care home, Mum moved to Knappes Cross in June. She was extremely poorly but the nurses and carers noticed straight away and nothing was too much for them. If it hadn't been for the amazing care my mother wouldn't have returned home. Thanks is not enough for these amazing people.
Arrived last week. It is heaven. Lovely reception, kind staff. Beautiful building. Food is delightful. Warm and welcome. Everyone is kind and caring. Cannot fault, I cannot fault it. I feel safe and at home.
My wife came out of hospital and has settled down well after a traumatic experience. Because of her advanced dementia, it was not possible to get her to be mobile again. Knappe Cross has been a haven for her and I could not ask for any better treatment and am very satisfied to date.
Although my wife has been in a nursing home prior to Knappe Cross Care Centre, already it has been proved to me that her care has been better for her than her previous home where she had been since 2013. The organisation of all staff appears to be superior in the organisation at Knappe Cross - the ability for raising points of concern and notice taken, the organisation is superior and the ability to talk to management is exemplary - they actually listen to concerns.
I like living here with all the other residents. I enjoy the staff immensely who are kind and caring.
Fantastic, cannot praise enough. Staff are brilliant. Everything to a very high standard.
My sister came here from another care environment organised by social services. We were worried owing to COVID restrictions but all our imagined fears were totally unfounded. A very sincere thank you.
My husband came into Knappe Cross as an emergency in July 2020 - we were both traumatised that he had to come. Knappe Cross has looked after him so wonderfully and he is happy here, which I could never have imagined. The staff, manager, under manager, team leads and all the nurses and carers are wonderful and so kind We would not have made this transition without them all. My husband is content and we video call twice a day and I visit every Monday and Friday for 2 hours at a time. Family visit whenever they can and we are all welcomed. Just brilliant!
Having been a resident here for the past 7 months. I am completely satisfied with the management and staff. They were all very accomodating and friendly.
My father was sent to Knappe Cross directly from the hospital. Following our research, we immediately requested a meeting with the manager to ascertain if this facility was actually as poor as we were advised. An hour-long meeting with the manager only further convinced us that this was most definitely not the place for my father. Very uncaring manager. The visitation schedule seemed wholly structured for the benefit of the home and not the residents, completely out of sync with other homes. Thankfully we removed my father after two days and he is now settled in a comfortable, caring home. Do not use this home.
Staff are good. Food is very good.
I have enjoyed my stay here. The staff are helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the food. The tea wasn't so good invariably the tea was cold, but bearable. Satisfied with the rooms (cosy). Everyone in the home was very friendly. I enjoyed playing guitar for the residents.
