View Full Details of Pinewood Residential HomeI can highly recommend Pinewood Residential Home. The staff are always very polite, friendly, caring, happy to help and nothing is too much trouble. They all did an amzaing job looking after my late uncle.
I've had a great experience as the son of a parent with Alzheimer's who, following a fracture, was given a period of Respite at Pinewood Residential Home. As a first time user of Residential Care I've been delighted with the engagement and communications between staff, leadership team, myself and mum. Care is sensitive, consistent and high quality. The care team are dedicated, responsive and good fun. Mum is having a great time and enjoying the whole experience.
My dad was both visual and hearing impaired, and went to Pinewood Residential Home to live when he was discharged after 6 weeks in hospital in January 2021, getting him settled into a new environment with his impairments was difficult, but the care and dedication shown by staff helped him to settle in and he was content. I was always reassured to see that he was safe and well cared for. During the 4 years he was a resident, he built up a good rapport with the carers who looked after him well. During the final days of my dad's life, the dignity and compassion he was shown by all staff was really touching to see and the support given to me made me feel less alone at a really difficult time. From checking in on me, to making sure I had eaten, the cups of tea, chats and just general support, for which I will always be grateful. Pinewood is a friendly welcoming residential home, all of the staff make both residents and their families feel like one big family and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Unfortunately, the standard of food is consistently poor. The room smells of urine. I have witnessed visitors not signing in. Given the standard of rooms and quality of food, I do not feel this provides good value for money, especially for those self-funded.
I visit Pinewood on a very regular basis. I am LPO for one of their residents. He did not want to go into a home, but he absolutely loves it there. I am so happy and relieved. He is looked after so well. The staff are kind, caring and gentle with him. All his needs are met, and more! He feels like he is part of a family. Every special occasion is celebrated. They have quizzes, crafts, entertainers etc. to liven up their days. He is always clean, warm, well fed and safe. We are both happy.
At the start of February, my mum was rushed into hospital. So father had to go into care a very difficult time for all especially because of Covid. Pinewood very kindly agreed to take father for two weeks to start with. The management and staff were superb and I can't thank them enough. We have now moved father closer to home and they were really helpful with the move. Thank you.
I have always felt reassured when visiting my husband that he is receiving the care I would wish for him. He is always comfortable, clean and well-fed. Despite my husband's decline in health and mental capacity, whenever his carer comes into the room and speaks to him he smiles and turns his head. When visiting my husband, I have always felt included and supported.
Pinewood management and staff have worked tirelessly during this awful pandemic and under awkward situations obviously, entertainment has suffered because of lockdowns, illness and it has had its effect on the poor residents. Throughout, the staff (and management) have always been helpful, polite and there to answer any questions or concerns.
Extremely pleased with everything. Everyone works very hard and are always happy to accommodate. All the staff treat my husband with kindness and respect and nothing is ever too much trouble to make him as happy and comfortable as they possibly can.
Very good service and facilities. Kind and considerate staff, always willing to help. Food excellent, always a good selection with menus in advance to choose.
My mother stayed for a week at Pinewood Residential Home for respite while my family was on holiday. The room she stayed in was lovely and came with a private toilet, which we loved. The staff were very helpful when we phoned every evening for an update on my mother. My mother also said the food was good with a lot of variety. The staff also fully respected my mother's cheese allergy. I will be using Pinewood Residential Home again in the near future.
The staff are absolutely amazing, very caring and take brilliant care of all the residents, special thanks to the member of staff who goes above and beyond to help Nan.
Excellent residential home. All staff have been respectful, caring and made me feel at home as soon as I arrived. The food was very good and we have a good selection to choose from with every meal. There are varied activities every day for residents to attend if they so wish and weekly outings in the minibus on a rota. Also, a patio and garden for us to enjoy in the nice weather. Highly recommended.
Resident for rehabilitation purposes subsequent to foot surgery. Staff were given short notice of my arrival from NHS Trust, however, they were very welcoming. Have found all staff to be kind and considerate, allowing me to operate independently where possible, yet providing quick assistance when needed. Food standards are good and varied. Have only been here for a couple of days so unable to comment with conviction on other aspects.
The quality of care and service from all personnel at Pinewood has been first-class. The staff has made the transition to Pinewood as simple and easy as possible with every assistance possible to make my aunt's stay safe and comfortable. The staff are all positive and full of energy and take an interest in ensuring their residents have all they need to provide the best possible experience. Circumstances due to the Covid pandemic have obviously been challenging and the staff has tried to accommodate the needs of their residents and relatives to the best of their ability. I would be happy to recommend Pinewood to others in need of care and support.
On the whole very good. Wished more staff early in the morning. Sometimes there's a long wait for early breakfasts and wash.
Dad came to Pinewood Residential Home on respite and due to covid, is still here. He is looked after brilliantly and enjoys all the activities and days out. Your procedures to keep everyone safe through covid have been fantastic and the addition of the visitor's room meant family and friends could safely use it.
My wife was admitted to the above home on 5th January 2021 and settled in well. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, she was confined to her room. When given the "All Clear" she joined other residents for meals and afternoon recreation. Unfortunately, her health rapidly declined and again she was confined to her room. The attention given was "second to none" the staff being most kind and considerate in every way.
Despite three weeks of respite and isolation for the first two weeks. I did enjoy my stay. The staff were very friendly and always helpful, although their tasks were very difficult at times. I enjoyed the celebrations and festival last weekend. Despite the sadness of years gone by, everyone enjoyed it. This is a well run, caring home where the patients are listened to. I would come back again.
On the whole, staff are friendly and helpful. There is an excellent laundry service. Food is particularly good. My carer is always helpful and understanding.
