View Full Details of Sefton HallMum has been in several care homes over the past 4 years since her stroke, some good and one not so good. But I have been so impressed with Sefton Hall since her arrival in Oct 2024. The best home by far that she and I have experienced.
My family and I are so grateful for the outstanding care that Sefton Hall staff provided for our dad during his short stay there. Sefton's 'Outstanding' CQC award and other awards are truly deserved. From the manager, admin staff, nurses, and care assistants to the cleaner, every single person provided exceptional care and support for Dad and for our family. From the moment Dad arrived at Sefton Hall, he was provided with the utmost respect, friendliness, care and compassion. He received an excellent standard of care from all staff. The staff, without exception, allowed Dad to be himself, to make his own choices and to maintain the highest level of dignity. As visitors, my sister and I were cared for and supported sensitively, particularly during the last few days of Dad's dementia journey and when he passed away. We could not have wished for more. Our only regret is that Dad didn't come to Sefton Hall earlier. Heartfelt thanks to all involved.
The staff were caring, friendly and attentive. The management were very helpful and anxious that I should keep in touch after my wife left and promised future help if necessary. Full marks to the Sefton in all respects.
Over the past three years, Mum lived the best life she could here thanks to the excellent care and staff. As her Alzheimer's progressed and she became more frail, the staff always adapted to her needs. Mum clearly enjoyed the many activities, including music, animal encounters, crafts and trips out to the beach. The staff work so hard to create a homely and friendly environment for residents. It was also a comfort to know nurses were on site if needed. I wish all residential care homes could be like this.
Sefton Hall is a very special place with very special staff. My husband was a resident from Sept-Dec 2023 when he sadly passed away. As a family, we feel very privileged that he was offered a place at Sefton to live out his final days. The management and leadership at Sefton is outstanding. The staff are so dedicated and hardworking, while continually going above and beyond and clearly love their jobs. The nursing team are so dedicated and hardworking and deliver such high-quality care. Everyone who cared for my husband was lovely, offering endless compassion, empathy, kindness and cheerfulness. Sefton doesn't just offer top-quality care to the residents, but this is extended to the families. They were there for us as a family every step of the way and through some dark days. We are eternally grateful to the whole Sefton team for everything they did for my husband. Thank you, Sefton.
Our very dear relative was admitted to Sefton Hall at very short notice following a rapid decline at home. We cannot praise the staff enough for their technical nursing skills, delivered with care, kindness and compassion. I would recommend Sefton Hall to anyone who is looking for first-class care for someone they love. Our relative had complex health needs and none of this phased Sefton's highly skilled staff.
Mum spent her last few months in Sefton Hall. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care they showed towards her and to me and my family. She was always clean, well-fed, and every attention to detail was wonderful.
Following my wife's admission to Sefton Hall, the management and staff have been extremely supportive of us both in what has proven to be a very emotional time. It has been comforting to witness the compassion and understanding shown of my wife's complex condition and that the care provided is very much driven by her personal needs and wishes. Communication and consultations concerning her care have been impressive and reassuring. The staff are always welcoming and flexible and are clearly committed to person-centred care. I am indebted and grateful to them and thankful that my wife is residing in such a positive and relaxed environment.
My husband was admitted to Sefton Hall Care Home in May 2022, in the later stages of dementia, and was there until his death in January 2023. I felt throughout that period he had the best care, the staff are very kind, caring, sensitive and willing to give as much time as is needed in any situation. They have a keen sense of fun which is infectious and lightens the spirit of all the residents. Running through all this is a keen sense of professionalism. The atmosphere of the home is happy and calm and I was impressed by the amount of space allocated to dementia patients and the number of activities and sessions of entertainment is extraordinary. I always felt he was in the best place he could be.
The care that Sefton Hall has provided my dad has been brilliant. The staff care very much for my dad and are attentive to his needs, even when he can be quite testing and demanding. The staff also accommodate us, family members, very well and keeps us in the loop of changes. They’ve looked after his physical needs and called doctors and specialists when his condition changed. They make an effort to get my dad out and engage with the community. They organise good outdoor activities to entertain the residents. While “recommending” a home feels odd, I genuinely am happy this is where my dad ended up and is the best I could have hoped for.
Management and all staff are very helpful, considerate, have a chat with an update of the situation of any appointments etc. I phone regularly, and staff are very polite and reassured of any concerns I may have of recent events of Covid etc. I enjoy having quality time in his room, which gives me more pleasure and happiness being together. Thank you for all you do at Sefton Hall.
A caring environment. Good level of cleanliness and good management.
My father’s condition declined rapidly in early 2020. And in the height of the pandemic, he was sectioned. No words for how difficult a time that was for everyone. He was then placed into Sefton Hall and after settling in period, I can say without a doubt, he is very happy and stable. He considers it his home. He continues to surprise us with how well kept he is, content and engaged. I cannot thank (all) the staff at Sefton enough for how caring they are and the hard work they put in. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services.
All I can say is that Sefton is a fantastic home. My mum has been there since the end of December 2019, and since then, she has improved so much from the great care they give her. All the staff are friendly, welcoming, caring and cannot do enough for their residents. The home is always clean and welcoming. The residents are always occupied with crafts, games and visiting entertainment. I would not hesitate in recommending this home. I am always singing their praises and am so grateful I do not have to worry as my mum is happy, clean, safe and cared for.
In December 2020, during the Covid pandemic, our mum had to be relocated and we chose Sefton Hall to be her new home. We found the staff to be warm, welcoming, and friendly and they responded to our queries readily, however small. We felt reassured that the care and safety of the residents were a high priority for them. Sefton has worked diligently in challenging times and the staff show kindness and compassion. The care home has a homely atmosphere where I feel residents can be themselves. Fun and laughter are much appreciated here and the team works hard to provide an enriching environment with a variety of activities which stimulate the senses eg BBQs, musicians, miniature ponies, crafts, inflatable Olympics and much more. As a family, we feel completely confident that our mum is being given the best possible care.
I was very distressed when my wife was admitted to Sefton Hall. As my wife and best friend for over 60 years it was soul destroying. From the first day, I was overwhelmed with the kindness and consideration shown to me and my wife. Over the last year or so, I have been amazed at the thoughtfulness and kindness shown to us both, even simple things like remembering our names or a birthday cake on her birthday. I have absolute faith that my wife is thoroughly and professionally cared for, by really nice people. Thank you.
My husband was admitted to Sefton Hall in the middle of May 2021, having spent two weeks in the hospital, being admitted from the previous care home where he was a resident. I cannot fault the love, care, help and attention that he receives at Sefton Hall. The staff seem to have unlimited patience and compassion. I admire them! They keep him clean and tidy, even though he does often object to his personal care! Although he is confined to his bed, they make sure that he has a clean shirt on every morning and is always clean and tidy on my weekly visits. My love and thanks to all the staff at Sefton Hall.
My husband has been a resident at Sefton Hall in Cedar since September 2019 due to his condition of Dementia with Lewy Bodies plus Parkinsons. These conditions make him a difficult patient, from time to time, as I know from experience (prior to his admittance to Sefton, I looked after him at home). I admit I was full of trepidation at him going into a home. However, over the months, I could not wish for him to be in a better place. When I could visit daily, I could see the staff tending their patients with compassion, humour and love. How they cope with the wide range of complex problems of their patients fills me with admiration. I know that from the way he is with the staff, that he is happy there; he doesn't know me now, at times, unfortunately, but the staff continue to mention my name to him when I phone and when I visit. I cannot speak highly enough of Sefton Hall, its staff and management. Thank you all for looking after my husband so well.
The wonderful team at Sefton Hall looked after my dad for the last 6 years of his life. We all had ups and downs during that time especially as dads health worsened and his needs increased, the level and complexity of arrangements also increased. Dad was always well looked after and it became apparent to mum and me during his last week with us just how much the staff "cared" for him in more than the sense of following a care plan and going through the motions. They all really cared and were not afraid to show it. The level of emotion shown is something I felt comforting and will always cherish.
I think it is really excellent place to be, all staff are really lovely and treat me well.
