View Full Details of The Yelverton Residential HomeMost impressed with friendliness of staff. Delicious afternoon tea cake. Fabulous activities organiser, exemplary and full of ideas.
My mother has been here for just over 12 months and she is very happy. The standard of care given is very high. Each time I visit the same staff are on duty which is paramount in continuity of care. The food is of a high standard and the fact my mother has a small appetite is always observed and she enjoys her meals. The standard of cleanliness is top class (her room is always spotless) as is that of the laundry. None of my mother's clothing has been lost or misplaced. I looked after my mother full-time before she went into care and I have total peace of mind of the care she receives at The Yelverton which is a great comfort to my mum and myself.
During Mum's stay (which was sadly all too short) I found the care to be excellent. The staff were always friendly and extremely caring. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Yelverton Care Home to anyone.
Excellent care, extremely professional staff, very caring and my aunt felt it was her home. All staff and managers very compassionate to our family when my aunt passed away, all facilities within the home were and still are fantastic.
Although only a short respite stay, I was very impressed by the level of care and empathy from all the staff. In all aspects I found the level of care shown by all the staff to be outstanding. The food was excellent and plentiful and catered for all tastes. Served with a thought for all tastes. If I found myself in a similar position again, The Yelverton Residential Home would be my only choice. Thank you to you all for a pleasant stay.
My mother stayed at The Yelverton for ten days respite whilst we were on holiday. She was made to feel very welcome and was looked after in every way possible, the staff were very kind and attentive and the food was amazing. I am sure she will go back again without any hesitation when we are on holiday in the future.
Friendly and supportive staff- engages well with residents. Activities are arranged for residents, and they interact with each other regularly in the communal lounge and dining area. All staff are very welcoming to both residents and visitors.
Management were excellent in making arrangements for my arrival and getting the local health team on board very quickly. The result was that I made significant progress health-wise, despite having complex and multiple needs in the two months I was there. I was in a lovely room, which had a wonderful view of the green, and plenty of light. The staff were very kind and caring to me and very welcoming to my family and friends. I could see the menu was varied and interesting, but since my operation, my taste buds had almost disappeared, but the staff did all possible to help enhance flavours for me, which I very much appreciated. I enjoyed going downstairs for lunch when I was up to it, and sitting outside in the garden. In particular, I enjoyed the buffet coronation celebration and the bbq which my granddaughter also attended. Overall I am very grateful for the excellent care I received, and would not hesitate to recommend the Yelverton Residential Home to anyone.
Our aunt is really happy at The Yelverton Residential Home. It suits her well and the staff understand her needs and work with her. They are always friendly and helpful. The communication from management, staff and admin is excellent, keeping relatives up to date with all matters. Very pleased our aunt settled in well here straight away.
My dear aunt has been resident in The Yelverton Residential Home now for three and a half years and I bless the day we found such a caring environment for such a sweet lady. It was recommended to us by a former employee who praised the home highly and said he had been very happy to work there. My aunt is now very old by anyone's standards so needs very special attention and every time I visit she is beautifully cared for. I'm so, so pleased to have found a place where she can see out her days in peace and comfort.
After my father's death in October 2022, my mother moved from their home into The Yelverton Residential Home at the age of 96. It was a huge move and a total change for her as my parents had lived independently in their bungalow up until this point. Consequently, I was both surprised and delighted that she settled in quickly and easily and soon began to enjoy many aspects of her new life. I believe that this was almost entirely down to the care and kindness shown to her by the staff, who were always prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that she was able to take part in the social life and activities within the home, in spite of the fact that she was registered blind and very deaf. She made friends among the residents and among the staff. Sadly, she suffered from a number of minor strokes which caused her to fall and she passed away at the end of April. She spent her last days being cared for in the home with respect and dignity. The kindness of the staff was extended to her family during this difficult time.
I finished my second respite stay yesterday. I had my right hip replaced last year and my left hip this month. I would recommend The Yelverton Residential Home highly. I did not use the activities.
I can't praise enough the wonderful care and attention my mother received from all the staff during her time at the home. In fact, she blossomed during her stay and was always happy whenever the family visited her. All the staff work to the highest possible standard but still manage to make the home feel homely and welcoming. When Mum passed away in December, she was treated with the utmost respect. Thank you all so much.
