View Full Details of Three CornersMy Dad was at Three Corners for the last three years of his life. The staff throughout this time were fantastic, I cannot fault them. They went above and beyond even taking my Dad to see my mum who is in care herself when his health allowed. The home was always clean and Dad's room was spotless every time I visited. The communal lounge and dining room are very nice. The communication with the family was great and we always felt very welcome. Never felt like we were an annoyance and someone always answers the phone. So thank you Three Corners for the care shown to Dad and for the peace of mind you gave us the family knowing he was safe and looked after.
My husband needed respite care at fairly short notice. The management were most helpful and while he was there was cared for in a most considerate and helpful way. Nearly everyone had a smile on their face for visitors and residents which was lovely. Very good food.
My dad has been at Three Corners Nursing Home since July 2024. He is receiving palliative care and all the carers and nurses are fantastic, it is a lovely environment and everyone is so helpful and friendly. Sometimes it can be a long wait for Dad to have a wash but this is due to being short-staffed which is out of their control. Food is amazing, also a mention to the domestic team who do a wonderful job keeping the place clean and tidy.
Mum has lived at Three Corners for 4 years. We have always found the staff to be very friendly, knowledgeable and supportive with her complex needs. They all genuinely care for the residents, are very respectful, and Mum has a really good relationship with her carers. A lot of effort goes into providing activities for the residents, and the home is always decorated for Christmas, Easter, Halloween and other festivities which provides lovely visuals for the residents. The activity coordinator is super at encouraging participation. I have the confidence that Mum is being well looked after, cared for, and she is safe. Living quite a distance away it is reassuring to be able to phone and get updates as to how she is.
My sister was admitted to Three Corners. I think Three Corners does its very best to be the best it can be. If we encountered any problems there was always someone to help or find out what could be done to solve any blips. Everyone was kind and understanding whilst dealing with some difficult situations. We did not experience any unkindness or unwillingness to help us. I think it's hard to find people who care for your loved one in a way family would find acceptable, but my sister made good connections and for the most part, loved every member of staff. It is human nature not to gel with everyone but I think she felt that they all did their utmost to help her. I was impressed with the amount of activities and the genuine desire to get all involved with something that would appeal. The food was 1st class and plentiful. I was kept updated on all aspects of my sister's care and I can honestly say I would recommend Three Corners if anyone asked me for an honest comment.
My mum has now been at Three Corners for a month and has settled in so well. It is clean, extremely friendly and efficiently led. Mum has struggled to come to terms with the effects of her stroke and I didn't think she would ever accept a permanent move to a home, but with the care of Three Corners she is really starting to enjoy her new life. Activities are great at keeping the residents busy and the staff are so helpful. I highly recommend Three Corners.
I cannot fault the team at Three Corners. My mother had excellent care from the beginning. Despite her complex medical needs, she was extremely well looked after. The home is clean and fresh with a modern dining room/lounge, and the staff and management are wonderful.
My father is 90 years old and has dementia. He was put here temporarily after a stay in hospital and before being sent home. In the space of 8 weeks, he had 4 falls, the last one being the most serious where he broke his hip and fractured both his pelvis and his arm. We very nearly lost him because of this and we still don't know if he will survive as his condition is now so poor. There are a lot of nice activities going on in this home but the core care of residents is severely lacking. Before my father went to this home they should have assessed his complex needs but they didn't and are blaming the health authority for not giving them the right information about my father's condition. My father was given one-to-one care from 4pm to 8am so they only had to look after him for 8 hours a day but they failed to even do this. This whole experience has been a nightmare and my father deserved better.
My Dad went into Three Corners Nursing Home for 4-week respite. He has Parkinson's Disease and was very poorly when he arrived. He came out physically so much better and able to live alone again after his respite. I am very grateful. The staff were very friendly. I live 2 hours away so was very worried being so far away, but they always made me feel like I could phone any time for an update. Many thanks!
My father used the home for respite care. Whilst he was there we found all the staff to be very friendly, patient and caring. My father was well looked after. The home is clean, bright and airy. The activities on offer were very good and we found one of the activity coordinators who we saw on a couple of occasions, had great energy and enthusiasm. She gave a lot of encouragement to my father and other residents during the activities when she was on duty.
I could not be more grateful to Three Corners for having looked after my aunt so well. Without exception, every member of staff was kind and helpful. Nothing was a problem - very much a 'can do' attitude. Supporting my aunt's transition from independent living to living in a residential home was made significantly easier because of the approach of Three Corners.
My mother has been well looked after at this well-run home right from her first admission 18 months ago. The staff are all lovely, and the home has a good positive atmosphere which frankly I can't fault. No matter what time I visit, even at its busiest times, I'm always warmly greeted. Most importantly, I have every confidence in the standard of daily care my mother is receiving and I'd recommend Three Corners to anyone seeking out a reliable care home for their relative.
Overall, staff friendly and helpful with a good standard of care. I thought more could have been done to assist my mother to walk with a frame, but the corridors are very narrow which does make this difficult. Found the lounge areas very congested with spare equipment, no outlook and used for meetings and staff training. Laundry came back inside out and not hung correctly.
As a family, we are very happy with the care that is being provided to my mother-in-law. Having spent 6 months in various hospitals and a respite home she was understandably disconcerted and wary of more change when she arrived. But we can see a transformation over the past few months and she has really settled thanks to the lovely staff who have gone above and beyond to treat Mum with respect and understanding, even when dementia makes her behaviour challenging at times. They really have taken the trouble to get to know her and her condition and it’s so good to see her laughing. The look and feel inside the home is bright, modern, happy and relaxed. We are sure this has all been a factor in Mum’s improvement. Knowing she is safe, cared for, well fed and stimulated with activities has meant the world to us as a family. We cannot fault the other team members who provide the administrative support. Thank you.
All care/support is excellent. Everything about this is excellent, not much more I can say. Thanks, everyone.
I am very pleased with the care that has been shown to my partner. Whenever I have visited he is always shaved clean and dressed looking well-cared for. On his good days he is taken to the dining room and I to the lounge for the entertainment, not just left in his room. Which is a great relief to me as he has always been a very sociable person.
Three Corners a very happy friendly environment, all staff are approachable and caring. Have no worries, medical issues always addressed efficiently and promptly. Residents are encouraged to participate in the many activities offered. The lounge is a lovely place and always decorated i.e. Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc. makes you smile when you walk in.
Excellent and compassionate overall. The level of staffing is good. The staff had time to talk and attend to my mother. Management available and open and communication is clear.
I was impressed by the deputy manager who was so helpful and efficient when I wanted to move my sister to Three Corners. She is now in a large, sunny room with plenty of light. It is clean and well-maintained, which was not our experience of her previous nursing home. I value the care and compassion shown towards my sister, and the effort they make to move her into social situations. When I go into Three Corners I feel welcome and there is a positive friendly atmosphere. When I phone the home to discuss my sister's condition staff are informative, helpful and reassuring.
My sister has now been at the nursing home for over a year. She has a lovely bright and modern room, big window to keep a close eye on what is happening in the world outside. She is generally happy (there are ups and downs with dementia) and is very well cared for by the team of nurses and care workers who have time for a chat and a joke. I feel my sister is in good hands.
