View Full Details of Queen Charlotte Care HomeMy dad is so happy. Laughing and smiling, he has put on weight, we have not seen him looking so happy eating and drinking well. The activities are amazing, lovely atmosphere in the care home, dad loves it. He has always been a people person, I think I take after him. I came to join dad for my lunch on Boxing Day. The meal was so good and the dining room experience was so nice to have the party. The lift being fixed and signs being put up for the contractors not to park in the care home car park, so there was enough parking for relatives. I am so glad dad is at Queen Charlotte Care Home.
Care home is a welcoming as you walk in. Staff have the resident care and we'll being always. Any plans issue they contact the family and keep you updated. The home is clean and oder free. Activity team do a lot with the resident and family can join in
When we were invited to view the home for the first time the management team were very informative giving us all the information we were asking for, showing us the room Dad would be in, along with all other facilities and whilst walking round we were impressed with how friendly all the staff were, taking time to talk to us about everything they do during the days to occupy the residents. The residents have an exceptional menu choice each day and we noticed how kind and patient all the staff are with them all. Another thing that impressed us was how clean the place was kept as well. If you want a meal with your loved ones whilst visiting this can be arranged with notice at a very reasonable price. Can't speak highly enough about Queen Charlotte Care Home and all the staff and we know we have found the home our Dad deserves to be in and looked after as we would want him to be.
My mother-in-law has been living at Queen Charlotte care home since January. She is very well looked after and has improved in her demeanour since arriving. There is always something going on and everyone is included.
Since Mum-in-law joined the family of caring staff, she has been in a much happier place. She joins in with the daily events and has much more company. She is a people watcher, so she loves it and seems to be very happy since joining. It had made hubby and my decision a lot more happier than we wanted for her. May she continue to flourish for the rest of her stay. Thank you all so much.
This is an update review. My relative has been at Queen Charlotte for a year now. I am so happy with my choice as she is so well cared for. Mum has a medical condition. It’s very challenging to manage, and Mum can make it even more challenging, but I can not fault the nursing team and carers for their kindness, compassion and dedication. All staff are kind and caring. They treat residents like family and I observe genuine affection between them. The home has a great activities team that provides crafts, entertainment and outings for the residents. Mum enjoys the activities, but she is never pressured to join in if she doesn’t want to. The food is homemade and there is always a good variety. Always some delicious cakes available. Mum has put on weight since coming here, so that says it all. I am always welcome to come and have lunch with her too, in fact, I am always invited and included in anything and everything that is going on, which makes this place so welcoming and homely.
A family friend has been a resident in Queen Charlotte's since September, sadly now deceased. The care he has received has been excellent, delivered with warmth and friendliness. It has always been clean and bright and has a lovely atmosphere, with caring staff. We thought it was a very good nursing home and would definitely recommend it.
My friend was in the Queen Charlotte Care Home for quite a short while, just four short weeks when she finally lost a brave battle with cancer yesterday. Her brief but happy stay was due to the kind of person she was but also due to the kindness and care that she received. The beautiful garden helped too, she was an outdoors sort of lady. While she was there I visited most days, so I met many staff. These are a happy group of people who not only care for the residents but extend their care to family and friends (even the four-legged ones). I really can’t thank them enough for their care, love and support and for the happy way they go about their very difficult job.
It's been very hard over these last three years, for both staff and residents. The staff have been marvelous in caring for all the residents, I cannot praise them enough. If I may make a constructive suggestion that you look at some kind of physiotherapy on a regular basis for residents. I think this would make a world of difference, both to their mobility and also help staff with their care.
I visited lots of care homes to find the right one for my mum, who has Alzheimer's. As soon as I saw the Queen Charlotte I knew it was the best place for her to live. Mum is very happy here. The staff are amazing, I cannot speak highly enough.
Friendly, caring staff who talk to Mum, which is important to me, as she would be on her own for most of the day.
My friend has only been here a few weeks but her care has been excellent.
The Queen Charlotte provides excellent care and medical attention to my wife. She is content and stable, which adds to her well-being.
Staff are always very friendly and helpful. They are very understanding and supportive and provide excellent care for my uncle and aunty.
A very welcoming and caring organisation.
I have found the staff to be very helpful and caring at all times. Generally, both my mother and myself have been happy with the care that she receives. I have been made to feel welcome by administrative staff on entering the home also.
During these difficult times, Queen Charlotte Care Home has been a place of reassurance and calm. All the staff have made Mum, myself and family members feel very welcome with kindness and understanding. Mum is treated as an individual with dignity and care. Mum had a few medical difficulties when she arrived 6 months ago and I'm pleased to say the staff have continued to monitor her health, ensuring she is now more comfortable.
My husband spent the last few weeks of his life in the loving care of Queen Charlotte Care Home. They also gave their loving care to me over the last six days when I needed to be there and made sure I experienced the chef's specialties. The staff go the extra mile to ensure that residents are comfortable and safe, as well as to extend a warm welcome to relatives.
My Mum has been admitted to Queen Charlotte Care Home and has been there a month. The home has lovely, friendly and welcoming staff. They have been so kind to my Mum and to me as well, nothing is too much trouble and they are attentive to my Mum's needs. My Mum has said the food is exceptional and she cannot fault the staff with her care. I personally think my Mum has flourished since she has been in the home, looking well and cared for. Her room is nice and airy with a lovely outlook from her window over the fantastic garden. This puts my mind at rest knowing this and I cannot thank the staff enough.
My Grandma has been admitted to this home in the last 6 months. She was very nervous about going into a care home, however, the staff have made her feel very welcome and by allowing her to have personal possessions in her room, this has made her feel at home. They always have some activities on the go, this has enabled my grandma to make friends and form a social community within the home. She has said the care staff and management are very friendly and they have always made me feel part of the Queen Charlotte family when visiting the home. The food always looks appealing and the home is in a good condition. Thank you for taking care of my grandma.
