View Full Details of Muscliff Nursing HomeI was extremely fortunate to choose Muscliff Nursing Home for my Mother's End-of-Life- Care. Muscliff is lead by a highly experienced Manager, supported by an excellent Deputy Manager. All the other staff are absolutely amazing, so kind, so helpful and so caring. All exceptionally well trained. Always polite and courteous, nothing was ever too much trouble for any of them. I was constantly kept updated regarding my Mother's health and her day to day well being. Additional Medical support was available and called in when necessary. The home is spotlessly clean, highly organised and has a lovely homely feel to it. l only wish that l had found this amazing Nursing Home earlier. Thank you to all the lovely staff, I am truly grateful for everything that they did for my Mother - she had wonderful care.
Muscliff Care Home provided end-of-life care to my mum. They treated her with dignity and respect and always made sure she had everything she needed. The staff and managers were really accommodating towards me and my sisters too during some really difficult times. Thank you for your kindness and understanding.
My dad was cared for by Muscliff for many years, we moved him from several care homes from him not being cared for correctly. Once we moved him to Muscliff that was the place he'd be cared for till he passed away. The home is a lovely place, the staff are so accommodating and there are lots of things for residents to do. Communication from the home is great too, they send out a weekly email with the activities the residents can do and any updates on your loved ones. Will definitely consider Muscliff if a home is needed in the future.

All staff very friendly and helpful and kind. Nothing seems too much trouble. nursing staff very freidnky and kind as is management.
My mother has been a resident at Muscliff Nursing Home since May 2022. She has advanced Vascular Dementia and is physically very frail. The staff have always shown kindness and compassion towards Mum and have always been very welcoming to family members when we visit her. The nursing team keep us updated on any physical health concerns that they have for Mum and has always been prompt to get medical attention for her when needed. Overall the quality of care is much better than most of the Nursing homes that I visited before Mum came to live at Muscliff.
My partner moved to Muscliff in July this year and I cannot thank the management and nursing staff enough for the amazing care he has been given since he arrived. I feel so welcome when I come to visit and it is so comfortable to see such friendly staff interacting with the residents during the various activities that go on every day. Muscliff is a wonderful home and I am so grateful that he is being kept safe and is looked after so well.
My husband has advanced Alzheimer's and has been a resident at Muscliff Nursing Home since February 2024. We can't thank the staff enough for the excellent care, kindness, dedication and compassion shown. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and always smiling to help. My husbands room is always clean and tidy and the food provided is excellent. There are plenty of daily activities for the residents to enjoy. We would highly recommend Muscliff to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one. Thank you.
Muscliff Nursing Home is by far the best home my dad has lived in. He's lived in 2 others prior to this home. The staff and management are all wonderful and incredibly caring. My dad was asked to leave his previous home as the staff couldn't meet his demanding needs. He was rude and behaved not very nicely. Since living at Muscliff he's had so much support, he's engaging with people and is involved in all daily activities. It has become clear that his previous home quite literally left him to it, hence the poor behaviour. I can't thank Muscliff enough for allowing Dad to shine again!
It has been my continued experience over a period of almost four years and from the start of my husband's admission to Muscliff Care Home to encounter excellent and caring managers, staff and colleagues, always attentive to all the needs of residents, above and beyond the call of duty. I consider the rating of Muscliff Care Home to be of the highest standard and excellence.
My partner developed dementia and has been in Muscliff for over 6 months now. I live nearby and visit regularly. The staff are caring and easy to talk to. It is well run and the food delicious. My partner is content to be there and I can walk to see him anytime.
I have been very impressed by the way the staff here have helped my husband to settle into the care home; especially as his condition makes communication with him very difficult. The rooms and facilities are bright and cheerful and the staff have a cheerful, kindly and helpful approach to the residents and family and visitors.
I consider myself to be extremely fortunate, after viewing a variety of care homes, to have been made aware of Muscliff Care Home for my wife who has advanced Alzheimers. From my first telephone conversation with the manager, to visiting the home I had the feeling that this was where I wanted my wife to be. Although she has only been a resident for a short period of time, I find all of the staff to be very understanding and happy whenever they are helping or speaking to me. A very well run and caring environment. Thank you.
My wife seems to be well cared for and happy there. The home itself is welcoming and kind. It's nice to have photos on Facebook for other family and friends who don't live close to see how she is and what she is up to.
The most wonderful caring staff, this is a home where patient care comes first and foremost. This home and its staff have taken such a weight off my shoulders by taking care of my elderly friend, I cannot praise them enough.
My wife has been a resident in Muscliff Nursing Home for about 2 years, having been released from a specialist dementia Hospital. She has advanced mixed dementia. The management and their team have cared with compassion, dedication and kindness. They are always willing to answer questions and support friends and loved ones as well as the residents. They are open, honest and kind. The team ethos, attitude and approach, certainly comes from the leadership team and the manager. The management team responsible for the nursing home, are professional, always approachable and well-presented. They lead a phenomenal team, that appears to have a professional, caring attitude and total dedication to the residents. The home has shown continuing development and improvement over the last 2 years, it is always clean and welcoming, there are a lot of activities and visitors are always kept involved and abreast of what is happening with their loved ones. My wife is always clean and comfortable.
The staff have been very caring towards my dad, and they have done everything possible to help him settle in. The nurses and care staff always seem happy in their work. They look after us when we visit, and realise how upsetting it was to have to make the decision that we could no longer look after Dad at home. There are no agency staff at the care home which means that everyone knows Dad and what his needs are and he knows them. We are very happy with the care that Dad gets at Muscliff.
It’s hard to know where to start. My father moved in early February. It was a huge decision and we’d had a particularly bad experience of another local home for respite and, as a family, we were finding it very difficult trusting another home to care for Dad. From the moment we came to look round, our worries were addressed. We felt confident that Dad would be cared for and looked after. The fact that no agency staff are used was a huge bonus, particularly when dealing with a dementia resident. The home is spotlessly clean and Dad’s extremely complex needs are addressed by the staff with dignity, respect and care. Not only do we feel confident that Dad is being cared for, the staff are there for the family and have been a support for Mum particularly who is also going through a massive change in her life. The staff are so welcoming and we are greeted every day with a smile and a cuppa. Management are always available to answer any questions. I cannot recommend Muscliff highly enough.
What can I say about this fantastic nursing home? They are simply the best. The care is outstanding, the care given to my husband who had complex needs was amazing. The love and kindness given to the patients is beyond belief. The staff are so welcoming to you as a visitor and are always smiling. The matron/manager runs a wonderful home and all the staff earn my highest respect.
Took my mother-in-law in for respite within 24 hours' notice. Always loads of staff on shift at all times. Very friendly and always go above and beyond. Nothing too much trouble. Always a big smile to welcome you when open door. Spotlessly clean. Fabulous activities in the lounge. Lovely restaurant feel in the dining room with a choice of food on the menu.
