View Full Details of Southbourne Beach Care Home - Avery CollectionI stayed for a short stay in February of this year. The food and service I would definitely return in future.
The whole team go the extra mile with their care and understanding. They are always attentive and communicate so well. My brother has settled into this beautiful care home.
The care is excellent, all staff are friendly and obliging. The food is very good (I have to stop myself)
My wife has now been in Southbourne Beach Care Home almost 12 months and our family have all been pleased with the care all the staff have have given us, whenever I visit I feel welcome. A great asset at Southbourne is the large open plan public room, when visiting you always find a quiet spot to chat. This was the correct decision.
I am happy to live in this home. I enjoy the activities, music and staff are very helpful.
My sister has been here about 6 years and very happy, everyone very kind.
Bright, clean, interesting decor (pictures, etc). Staff polite, helpful, diplomatic, and tactful in speech and behaviour.
Southbourne Beach is a comfortable and caring home . Good food and lovely grounds. Feel well looked after and lots of activities to do. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Situated close to the beach walks are lovely.
This care home is the most wonderful place you could hope for, the staff are incredible they take care of the residents and their relatives in every way. It is the most beautiful and practical compassionate place you could wish for in beautiful surroundings. The activities and outings are exceptional. I am so happy I found this care home for my lovely mum.
I don't usually write reviews but felt like I had to after visiting my uncle here at Southbourne. I have got to say what a lovely place; everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. My uncle loves the newly refurbished room and he's made it like home from home - I'd be happy to stay here!
Excellent care home. Masses of interesting activities and the staff are so cheerful and caring.
We feel we were meant to be at Southbourne Beach Care Home, so many things have fallen into place since coming here. Particularly the Christian Heritage and my welcome in being able to make the most of my piano playing at the weekly concert and Christian Services. The accommodation and the ambience are first class as in the care and activities. We love the Bistro facility, so good for entertaining family and friends when they come. We like the involvement of bringing in outside organisations.
The home is a delight to be in. clean, hygienic, tidy and well-organised. The staff do their very best every day. Mum is on the 2nd floor, with increasing dementia it helps that she is a happy soul but I always find her happy, well cared for and peaceful. It's a blessed feeling because she lives quite away from me now but the phone is a godsend and I'm able to speak with her at any time.
Mum and Dad came for 3 weeks respite (having been housebound for 6 years but needing work on their home) - it was not going to be an easy transition especially as my father didn't want to leave the house but once settled he's been so happy there and his health has improved. I looked at several places before opting for Avery Southbourne - it was the open, vibrant atmosphere and spacious surroundings that sold it to me initially. The staff have been absolutely fantastic in welcoming my parents and understanding their needs and vulnerability to personalise their stay - I genuinely couldn't have wished for better for them (or me). The freedom for me to come and go as I wish and their ability to retain some independence there is also a major factor and I've loved visiting and getting to know other residents and the staff. Everyone has time for you and nothing is too much trouble. My folks want to come back again later in the year - when I go on holiday - peace of mind for all of us.
My nan stayed here for a respite stay and had a wonderful experience meeting new friends and joining in with various activities. We cannot recommend this home highly enough. Staff are polite and helpful and make you welcome from the moment you walk through the door.
Early days but all good. Enjoy daily walks and a variety of activities. The food is good on the whole and the staff most helpful.
My brother has been a resident at Southbourne Beach for just over two months. The care and support have been exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble and this shows in the teamwork of all the staff. The food is excellent quality with my brother's vegetarian needs catered for. It's like a five-star hotel and I would recommend this establishment to all.
It's like a cross between a 5-star hotel and a cruise ship. A lovely care home, very clean. Residents are very well cared for.
This wonderful care home went over and above in giving my mother and family a day to remember to celebrate her 100th birthday. Their care and attention to my mother’s needs are exceptional and are appreciated by all her family.
Carers were always busy but always had time for our friend, especially as she could be awkward and demanding. We ate in the restaurant with her a few times and the food and service were excellent. The atmosphere was always happy and the entertainment was enjoyable. We struck up a really good rapport with a particular member of staff as she was excellent with our friend.
