On a scale of 1 to 100, Ashely Home must score 100. Over 4 months or more my daughter was searching for a care home in her area. She was amazed, astonished and delighted to visit Ashley House.
I and my son moved my mother into Ashley House a week ago, she arrived as a frail, nervous exhausted little old lady. A week on she is a changed lady, she looks amazing from good food, amazing care, and amazing carers who make her laugh, and take such great care of her. I think she may live to 100 at Ashley House. I cannot thank everyone enough for making her so welcome. Many thanks.
Homely, warm and cheerful is how I would describe Ashley House, my father's home for just over two years now. It initially was a refuge for him after living alone for ten years and suffering from a debilitating health issue. Thankfully, all that is behind him after the care and support he has received from the lovely nursing, care and admin staff who are always courteous and smiling. Dad is relaxed and knows that he is well looked after and cared for.
Ashley House Care Home is a very welcoming place, there is a positive vibe as you walk through the door. It is very clean and tidy and the food is excellent. The staff are lovely and we have every confidence they do the best for the residents. They make my mum feel loved and that she is in her own home. We would not hesitate to recommend it as somewhere to seriously consider as a care home for a loved one. Good location near the very centre of Cirencester.
My father finds some of the carers have more time and are kinder especially the night staff. The women sometimes rush him during wash and dress. Car parking is still difficult, especially when people do not park considerately in spaces, especially directly outside the home. More music and morning entertainment as mornings seem very quiet now.
The level of service at Ashley House Care Home is very good. The staff are attentive and the level of care is high. The facilities and activities are generally good and there is a happy and friendly atmosphere.
My dad is a permanent resident and I am extremely happy with the care he receives from all of the lovely staff. If he has a concern about anything it is sorted very quickly and pleasantly.
My mum moved into Ashley House Care Home after unexpectedly becoming quite poorly. She took a little while to settle in but I can safely say she is better now. Physically but particularly mentally than she has been for a long time. It's effortless living with wonderful caring staff and amazing food. I would not hesitate to recommend.
Mum has settled in very well at Ashley House Care Home. the staff are all friendly, caring and attentive. She enjoys the wide choice of meals. The facilities are very good, with several large, bright spaces for the residents. Her bedroom is also a decent size with a nice view of the garden. Mum was recently quite poorly but the staff treated her very well and professionally and kept us regularly informed.
My mother has been a resident at Ashley House for just over a year now. As a family, we are delighted with her care. Mum is more active now than she has been in the last five years of her life prior to going into the care home. The amount of activities organised for residents is excellent. Mum has a new family in the home now and we no longer have the worry for her safety and well-being. I cannot rate Ashley House highly enough. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work and dedication.
After 9 months in hospital I needed home respite care. Ashley turned out to be ideal. The staff were always helpful and friendly and the food was excellent.
Staff are lovely and Dad seems well cared for. Staff are very friendly with lots of smiles and feel quite uplifting and they have a bit of a laugh with my father. Food is good. The place is very clean. I also saw the inside of the kitchen when was choosing the care home (I work in hotels and see the inside of kitchens the whole time - one at Ashely House is new, orderly and was very clean, seeing the back of house things like this is a good indication of a facility is well run (in my view) The location is also amazing for visitors (can visit, then pop into town, then visit then pop out again) and also has parks nearby.
My mum has settled in well since moving in a year ago. She has been made to feel welcomed and is listened to when any issues or concerns arise. Ashley House provide a variety of activities for residents to engage in should they wish to. Overall the environment is a caring one with the needs of users thoughtfully attended to.
Grandad came to Ashley House in September 2023 at 98 years and celebrated his 99th birthday there this month! Ashley House celebrated his birthday which was so lovely. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and happy when we visit. Nothing seems too much trouble and they genuinely care about his health and well-being. The activities available are really good, lovely that some are into Cirencester for a coffee. Grandad enjoys the menu choice and the quality of the food. We are really enjoying the family events and Grandad's great-grandsons love to come to visit and the fun events. Lovely he has his own phone so we can call anytime, his room is sunny, clean and spacious.
My mum needed urgent respite care. One member of staff in particular listened to our needs and responded very quickly and professionally. Mum moved in the following day. The carers were lovely to Mum and whenever I visited Mum was happy. She enjoyed the food and often took part in the activity sessions. Her room on the top floor was always kept immaculate. I could not recommend Ashley House highly enough.

My brother and his wife came to Ashley House in 2023, both suffering from acute medical problems. The kindness, compassion and support they received was heart-warming. When my brother subsequently died, the care and genuine acts of affection my sister-in-law received from the staff and nursing team were, and continue to be, wonderful. A big thank you to you all.
The overall care is excellent. Dad enjoys the garden in the summer. Great events and local trips are arranged which means we can make many happy memories. Dad loves the food, particularly the homemade sponge and custard. Thank you all.
