View Full Details of Cotswold House Care HomeI visit the home several times in the week. The staff always have a smile always willing to make people happy even sometimes it must be hard. I'm sure they do all they can to help all the clients. They also have the animals it which the clients adore them all. Guinea pigs, a donkey and the dog.
Since my sister has been in Cotsworld House Care Home, I feel that they understand her needs and the way that she communicates with her eyes and facial expressions. My sister is non-verbal so it's reassuring to know they understand her. My sister has very complex needs, not only non-verbal, she is unable to walk and is also peg-fed. I feel the home manages these needs extremely well.
Great staff who invariably work with a smile on their faces, despite the difficulties of working with dementia sufferers.
It's lovely that I can visit anytime and I'm always made welcome. The staff are so caring. My husband isn't the easiest of patients but they're always so helpful and kind. The activities are a noy and it is great to join in! He does sometimes appear in other people's clothes and has lost 3 pairs of glasses, 1 pair of shoes and slippers but as long as he's getting the care it's the last of our worries. Thank you.
My son was very anxious in transferring to a care home for end-of-life care. His care has been managed very well. Enabling staff to treat him with respect and warmth, to consult him on his needs, and to meet them with compassion.
My mum was a resident for 13 months and received such wonderful care from all the staff. She was confined to bed the whole time but was still able to join in the activities as they were taken to her room which she really enjoyed. All staff were friendly, caring and loving towards Mum. In her last few days, I was with Mum all day and the care staff were so lovely to me too. I really appreciated their kindness during that really difficult and sad time. Thank you to you all, you're truly amazing.
My husband suffered from Dementia and was with you for the last eight months of his life. During this time he was settled and appeared calm and in good spirits. He was always clean and showered and warm. The staff were excellent, always very kind to my husband and always very kind to myself and my family. During his final days, he was treated with great respect and dignity and had a calm and peaceful death with myself and my daughter present.
The Cotswold House Care Home looked after my mum in the last 3 years of her life. Towards the end, Mum needed a lot of care and as she grew increasingly frail and dependent on those around her, the specialist care she received was exemplary. She was always treated with dignity and compassion. The kindness and compassion shown by the team to myself and the family at really difficult times will never be forgotten.
As my husband's descent into the abyss of dementia accelerated all of the staff at Cotswold House responded magnificently as his behaviour became more challenging, along with his care needs increasing exponentially. I shall always be grateful for their loving compassionate care of him in his final weeks, along with their support of me. Throughout his three-plus years at Cotswold House Care Home, all the staff treated him with endless patience and kindness and made sure that he enjoyed each day as much as possible.
I'm pleased with everything Cotswold House Care Home staff have done for my husband. I like the fact that residents are entertained regularly and have plenty of activities. The rooms are clean, bright and comfortable and the staff are very helpful. My husband has enjoyed the meals provided, he nearly always finishes the entire meal! It's safe, secure and I feel it's good value for money.
My aunt moved in over two years ago, she has settled well. Myself and the family are so happy, she is well looked after by the best staff and she's safe. When we visit the staff are really nice and helpful.
An amazing team of staff; carers, seniors, nurses, management team etc. Good communication from the home to myself about any concerns regarding my family member. Excellent care given. Staff are always polite and welcoming.
A relative stayed in an attic room for a couple of months. She had been in hospital for 6 months and she and her family understood her time at Cotswold House was to further help her regain her strength before she returned home. Instead, her well-being deteriorated. The room was shabby and very warm. On day one she had one very thin pillow, the need for extra pillows, a footstool and a toilet seat was only addressed when we asked - this should have been assessed as soon as she arrived and showed the overall calibre of the home in general.
Mum went to Cotswold House Care Home for 3 weeks respite care after contracting Covid-19. She said the staff were wonderful and looked after her really well. She felt thoroughly spoilt. A hard act for me to follow now she has returned home.
From the outset, we realised we had absolutely nothing to worry about when Dad was placed at Cotswold House Care Home following his illness being diagnosed. Dad was transferred direct from Hospital to the Care Home, as soon as he had arrived we were notified by the Care Home that he had arrived safely. The team at the home have helped Dad to settle as best as they can and he seems now to be happy and comfortable in their care. Any worry we had about him being in the home was laid to rest due to the very friendly and helpful nature of the Manager and her staff. The Manager really has gone out of her way to help ensure dad is happy and relaxed whilst he is in her care and we can not thank her enough for all she is doing. Her thoughtfulness means so much to our family. When we ring to get an update on how Dad is doing, the nursing team are always happy to talk to you and to explain how things have been going. A big thank you to all the staff in this immensely difficult time.
Being in Canada, it was wonderful to know that Nana was so well cared for by staff at Cotswold House. She enjoyed the care she received, the cups of tea and the singing/recreation programmes at the home. We truly appreciate all the kindness and care you put into each of your residents.
In the short time that my sister has been at this care home, the staff have been very good and positive at helping her to settle in and she is now showing signs of improvement. They have also taken the time to ascertain her likes and dislikes by discussing with family members and I now believe they fully understand all of her needs. They are very proactive in her care and they are helping her to socialise by taking her into the communal areas of the home, which she thoroughly enjoys. The manager and nursing staff update the family on progress and what she has been doing on a regular basis, they also keep us updated on any health or dental issues and telephone if they have any concerns. As a family, we are very positive about this care home, the management team, nursing and general staff.
My dad has lived in the care home since December 2018. I am very happy with the care and support he receives. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The home is kept spotlessly clean and very tidy. I have peace of mind knowing that my dad is well looked after and safe.
The care and attention shown to my Father was exemplary diverse with compassion and respect. Over the period my father was resident, the facility was refurbished and the management and administration brought up to high standards. But, the key praise must be given to the nursing and care team, to whom the greatest compliment I can give, is that they were like family to us and my Father. The food is also excellent.
Cotswold House Care Home is a home that makes both clients and visitors feel very welcome. It has a nice friendly atmosphere, both staff and management are welcoming to everyone at the care home. It is always very clean, has comfortable chairs in both day rooms where music and TV is available.
