Staff in all roles are very approachable.
My husband was in Forest Court Care Home for nearly two years and I have told my sons if I need care that is where I wasn't to be and be looked after. They not only take great care of the residences, they give every care and kindness to the visitors especially if your loved one dies.
When my husband went to Forest Court, he was bed-bound, incontinent, and eating pureed food. In a very short space of time, he was walking short distances, using the commode independently, and eating normal food. the patience, dedication, and determination for my husband to achieve his potential ability was thanks to the care staff. They are a credit to the home. All the staff were friendly and I was made to feel welcome. I was always grateful for the much-needed cup of tea. The food given to my husband was excellent and the chef and kitchen team were mindful of his likes and dislikes. The home was clean and safe, and the staff were caring, responsive, and extremely well-led. I feel that I have to write more. If in the future my husband needed to go to a care home, I hope that he would be able to go to Forest Court. I can't thank the staff enough for all that they have done for my husband. I know that he was safe and well cared for. Forest Court has never been better. My grateful thanks to everyone there.
Could not find a better care home anywhere, very caring staff and excellent facilities and choices of food, lovely setting wish there were more like this home. Plenty of activities to keep residents stimulated the food is excellent and very comfortable rooms and lounges.
My dad spent the final five months of his life at Forest Court Care Home. The staff were completely wonderful with him. Treating him with dignity and showing compassion and respect to him. He had vascular dementia and the staff knew how to look after him. We can not thank them enough. It was his home and really felt like that. They also looked after our needs as well. Thank you so much.
We have been extremely pleased with the standard of care our father has received at Forest Court Care Home. The management and staff are fantastic and truly care about the residents and their individual needs. Knowing that our father was so well cared for has made dealing with his dementia much more bearable. The lovely gardens and setting made visiting our father more relaxing and enjoyable too. We are happy that he has received the best possible care with a truly caring and kind staff.
My mother, who suffered from dementia, spent her final four years at Forest Court where she was cared for extremely well and treated with respect. The staff and carers were always professional, welcoming and friendly, keeping us informed of anything that affected her care and well being. The home and grounds were clean and well cared for. We have absolutely no reservations in recommending Forest Court.
All care staff looked after my dad extremely well. Always putting his needs first. They were very caring also at the end of his life.
My father went to Forest Court in June 2020. Everyone was very helpful through this difficult time (covid-19). I was kept up to date with any problems he had. When I could see him, he was always well turned out and given great support from the activities coordinator. Sadly, he passed away in January 2021. The care home sent me flowers, nice touch.
My wife entered Forest Court in fully 2014 suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. Her dementia worsened severely during her time there. At all times, staff and management treated her extremely kindly and professionally. I could not have wished for her to be anywhere else.
The kindness my husband received while in Forest Court was really wonderful, also the extreme kindness shown to myself and family at the end of his life, they gave us privacy and respect. I couldn't rate them more highly.
Forest Court provides a caring and compassionate environment for all its residents. Staff are well trained and confident in their specialist skills and are well lead by an effective and available management team. Staff are attentive to the resident's needs and patient and empathetic in their caregiving. They are also supportive and available to family members, both face to face and by phone. There are lots of activities to stimulate and engage residents and the food is amazing. There are also great relationships with the local GP surgery. It's a wonderful place!
I couldn't praise the staff or the care they provide at Forest Court highly enough. They are outstanding in all aspects. The home itself is in a lovely setting, and the care they provide is second to none. We always felt welcome when visiting, and we were always greeted with a smile and a cup of tea. Forest Court deserves a 100 out of 100 ratings!
This care home worked hard for my husband. Diagnosed with dementia in 2013, he had to move into their care in 2015. He could not have had better care. His illness was difficult to predict as was his behaviour but they were outstanding. It is very distressing to see your loved one succumb to this illness. What they do is support you as well as care for the patient. Absolutely marvellous.
This care home is set in large grounds with views over the forest, the location has easy access by road, but limited public transport facilities. The building is old with interesting architectural features. It is well maintained and has been tastefully converted for its current use. It is a lovely setting for a loved one to reside. The staff, in these care homes, are the greatest asset. I can not fault their friendliness, compassion, attention to detail and general work ethic. They form a genuine extended family with the residents. The catering facilities are immaculate, and the quality and variety of food offered is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble, and individual needs catered for. I can not fault the personal care my relative received while at this care home. She always had clean clothes and was appropriately dressed. Her personal hygiene and needs were dealt with discretely and respectfully. The activities kept her mind and body stimulated and entertained.
My experience was that my wife received excellent care for the 8 1/2 years she was there, especially under recent new owners. The management, care nurses and support staff were all excellent.
Dad is 92-years-old and has Alzheimer's. He has been at Forest Court since August 2019. Whenever I visit unannounced, I find him smiling, warm and smartly dressed. To simply sit holding his hand while we enjoy a pot of tea and biscuits; is a total joy after the exhaustion and worry of caring for Dad for many years. All staff fulfil their various roles with professionalism and kindness. Their patience and skill when handling the diverse needs of their residents are impressive. All residents are treated with respect and are recognised as individuals with their own needs. Dad has settled well and has made no complaints about his new home! I am very grateful to the manager and office staff for supporting me through this process and for always greeting me with a ready smile. My Dad is precious, and I am so pleased that I chose Forest Court for him. I am confident that he is in; competent and gentle hands.
This was our first choice of care home, and we were so lucky to get Mum in. The staff are very caring, and the treatment was excellent. Mum was always treated with respect and love. The home is friendly and welcoming. The staff always keep you informed and involved in decisions.
The care my mum had from the staff I could not fault it in my eyes they were all angels. On visiting her we were always made very welcomed and offered refreshments and whoever let us in always knew where mum was. It broke my heart to see how quickly she deteriorated but the staff always found the time to talk to me and reassure me. Mum was there for a short time compared to others but I cannot find any fault whatsoever in the care she received outstanding.
Since my uncle was moved from his previous care home. The specialist care he has received has been exemplary. This is by far the best home we have seen and had dealings with. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and are excellent at managing difficult behaviour.
