View Full Details of Hyperion HouseCan't thank Hyperion House enough for their excellent palliative care of my elderly father. All staff were so kind and compassionate on every level. He had a lovely, clean, warm room with wonderful individual care, including a first class kitchen that adapted to his changing appetite. They helped this family through a very sad, emotional time right up to the end, and my heartfelt thanks go to each and every member of staff.
My husband has been a resident for the past five years and I cannot really fault his care, consideration and the real concern for his health. I can always speak to any member of staff if I have a concern and know it will be dealt with promptly. Meals are usually very good, any special request usually adhered to. I have always found the staff, from management down, very friendly and extremely co-operative.
It is such a pleasure to visit, welcomed by staff and residents. The care given by all the staff is so good, and all the residents are treated with respect and dignity. It is a demanding job which they do with grace and patience.
I find the overall care adequate and friendly. Her biggest complaint (and mine) is some very noisy residents and lack of space when visiting her. Her rug/blanket if often missing although marked with her name. This rug is warm and very precious to her.
My mum went into Hyperion House after a hospital stay, she was very disorientated and refused or eat (or drink) Gradually the kitchen staff and care helpers encouraged her to eat and now she is happy and enjoys life at the home. The care staff work very hard and see to the residents needs, be that personal care and/or activities (which my mum really enjoys and joins in with). The staff are friendly and keep me informed of my mum's state of health, they also ask the doctor to see her when necessary. Mum has her hair done regularly, which is important to her. Overall we are very pleased about the care mum receives and would recommend this home to anyone.
Since the recent renovation of the residents' lounge, the atmosphere has changed from being rather gloomy to one of airiness and light. Much better for residents, staff and visitors.
My cousin is blind, blind and unable to stand. She has been at Hyperion Fairford for several years and has always received good care. She enjoys the food and having been an accomplished cook in the past she is aware of what is good or bad even if she can hardly see it. There have been a few problems whilst some major refurbishment took place, but this is now complete.
