View Full Details of Barchester Moreton Hill Care CentreMy father spent the last 8 months of his life at Moreton Hill Care Centre. He was cared for with care and compassion from the day he arrived until the day he died. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We could not have chosen a better home. There is a wide range of stimulating activities, lovely food & recently refurbished rooms and all in a beautiful setting.
I feel much better than when I came in. Everyone is very kind and they treat all of the residents with respect. Most of the food was good. There was plenty of it too.
From first meeting with the manager (for mum to be a respite user), nothing has been too much - even severe food allergies have been catered for. All staff are caring, nothing is too much for them helping mum to settle in.
My dad was at Moreton Hill for a short time during the last few weeks of his life. The staff treated him with the utmost dignity and respect at all times. They were also kind and caring towards us, his family, during this difficult time. I would highly recommend it.
Moreton Hill Care Home have welcomed my mother extremely well. The staff are always encouraging and caring. They always are so helpful and cheerful. The food is to a very high standard and their attention to detail with potential allergy awareness has been super. The number of activities are amazing - especially over the Christmas period. It is a wonderful Care Home.
I visit this care home regularly and it's amazing. The care team are very attentive. The patients are very relaxed and happy. It's clean and I would highly recommend this care home to anyone. The menu smells and looks great although I've never tried it. Fresh cakes made daily by the chef.
We couldn't have been happier. Spotlessly clean, good range of food, brilliantly efficient with Dad's routine, lovely building. Most important thing was the culture of the team in the home. Every single person was attentive, took time, smiley, caring, thoughtful, interested in what they need to achieve, hard-working and pleasant. Far exceeded our expectations.
A big thank you for the excellent care and kindness shown to mum during her time at Barchester Morton Hill Care Centre (18 months). The compassion in her last few days was exemplary and we are so grateful to everyone who supported not only mum but us also. Thank you so much!
The Barchester Moreton Hill Care Centre team do an incredible job to make the care centre feel like a home from home. Every single member of the team has a smile for everyone - residents and family. They encourage the residents to enjoy themselves by participating in the fantastic selection of activities. Their knowledge and skills dealing with dementia patients ensures difficult situations are quickly resolved. Mum is safe and happy at Moreton Hill.
I cannot express how caring and compassionate we found the staff to be at Barchester Moreton Hill Care Centre who looked after our stepfather in his last few weeks. Special thanks to a member of staff, in particular, the care practitioner and senior nurse who showed exceptional care and kindness - nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable. We appreciated the support and kindness they gave to us also at a very difficult time. Thank you from all the family.
Mum was a resident at Barchester Moreton Hill Care Centre in the last two months of her life. The nursing care she received was of a high quality. She was treated with kindness and compassion and her dignity was respected. The nurse in charge of her care communicated with me very well. Mum had many visitors during her time in Moreton Hill and they were all made to feel welcome. Her visitors had opportunities to exchange information with care staff to inform Mum's care. The manager of the home built a positive relationship with me and all business matters were dealt with efficiently, including a prompt refund of the deposit after Mum had passed away.
First and foremost, my mother was happy at Moreton Hill. She enjoyed a social life within the home, and to her, it was home from very early on. She was given care and consideration as a resident during her three years with you. For us, knowing she was cared for so well, very safe and happy and that her dementia care needs were fully understood, made an enormous difference to our lives. We were always kept well informed of my mother's condition and were aware of appointments, outings and activities that she was involved in. We would definitely recommend Moreton Hill to others when seeking to place a loved one in a care home.
Everyone is so helpful and friendly. My father very much appreciates all the care he has received so far and the staff are wonderful. He is very much enjoying the food.
A wonderfully situated care centre with really caring, cheerful, friendly staff. U am unable to fault any of the excellent care and support I received. The catering was outstanding. Barchester Moreton Hill Care Centre must be at the forefront of care homes as I doubt could reach the high standards here. An efficiently run centre with outstanding staff who were a tonic in themselves. I consider myself to have been treated and looked after here.
Father-in-law came here to convalesce after a fall. Barchester Moreton Hill Care Centre has been superb from beginning to end - excellent carers who respond quickly to the buzzer, beautiful surroundings and delicious food with a wide range to cater for every taste. We are extremely grateful. The 'open door' policy meant we could visit any time and we always felt welcome.
Moreton Hill is a very welcoming and happy care home. It is set in a lovely location with stunning views all around. All the staff have a smile and take time to interact with the residents and their families alike and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable as are the communal spaces. Mum really liked the varied activities which included trips out and always looked forward to the three-course lunch in the dining room. Sadly, Mum was only at Moreton Hill for 6 months, but those 6 months were full of kindness, love and laughter.
Dad came to Moreton Hill for a few weeks respite and, despite my worries, settled in immediately. We left him smiling, laughing and eating cake! Sadly, we didn't realise his Alzheimer's had made another progression and he deteriorated quickly. The staff were amazing looking after Dad in his final days. They showed kindness, compassion and understanding not only to him but myself. I was able to stay with Dad for the last five days of his life and the support I received was exceptional. The home has such a family feel. All staff treat the residents with respect and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Our aunt needed respite and the home has done everything to help us and take the stress away from the situation. Expected was only 4 weeks, but this turned into 6 weeks. This was no problem. All staff helped brilliantly. Thank you to all involved.
Everybody at Moreton Hill Care Centre has been so helpful and kind to my sister. Hopefully, she will get better soon, but she could not be in a better care home.
I cannot praise Barchester Moreton Hill Care Centre highly enough. My father is a resident and although initially reluctant to go into a home, he very quickly realised what a special place it is. The manager and all the staff work really hard to make the place as welcoming and comfortable as possible. The range of activities on offer is second to none. Every time he has had a fall or a health scare, I have been kept informed every step of the way. It is a huge weight off my mind knowing he is well fed, well cared for and kept as physically and mentally active as possible. A huge thanks to all the staff for their care and attention. This really is the best care home around.
