View Full Details of Pine Tree CourtMy husband and I want to thank the manager and staff of Pine Tree Court for the compassion, care and professionalism they have shown to our cousin through the last year of her life. Unwilling to go into care despite an urgent need for treatment, she presented Pine Tree Court with quite a challenge, but their good humour and patience were exemplary. We are certain that her life improved as a result of living there. Her medical needs were kept under review with regular contact with a local GP and palliative care team, and staff who had a special bond with her were encouraged to look after her. The home has been refurbished recently and is clean and inviting. We called quite often without warning and were always made most welcome. We are deeply grateful to you all for the extraordinary job you have done.
My Dad had a recent stay at The Pine Tree Court Care Home, whilst awaiting transferring to another home closer to all our family. We cannot fault the care my dad received as the care staff are friendly and very good at what they do. All staff, right from management to the super cleaners are approachable and kind. Whenever we had a query nothing was too much trouble and we always felt reassured. Often if we were visiting we would be offered a beverage and greeted with a smile. We cannot fault the staff. The only thing that really lets the home down is the lack of investment and it could do with modernising. We would like to Thank all staff at Pine tree and keep up the good work.
The staff were lovely and very caring. The food was alright. The lounge and dining room was satisfactory. However, the corridor to my father's room smelt of urine, his bedroom was awful, no covers on the duvet, pillows were shabby with holes in, the wall alongside the bed had dirty marks all over it. The floor was shabby and watermarked. Walls needed painting. They brought us tea on a tray, it was so old and burnt it should have been thrown away years ago. The whole place needs a makeover, the one part of the garden was okay, the rest was overgrown and not looked after. The residents were never taken anywhere, staff would sometimes take them out on their time off as they felt sorry for them, otherwise, they went nowhere at all.
My dad has been in care here for 7 months and I was greeted with a warm welcome which was lovely and recurring. Then the acting manager made time to speak to me as did the main care staff all very welcoming. Over the months I noticed all the staff had a good bond with my father and always got to him and other residents asap! My father was always cleaned after meals always changed! The care was excellent and never worried about my father there. The home is having work done to improve the building, this will make no difference as it is already very homely and cosy! I have to say they are a credit to the care industry.
