View Full Details of Clare Hall Nursing HomeI am the nephew of a resident who was admitted to Clare Hall Nursing Home about 2 Weeks ago. The staff were so understanding and friendly. my aunt was at end of life care and I can't thank the staff enough for their dedication. I would like to personally thank one staff member in particular who was at the forefront of my aunt's Care to the End. My aunt passed away peacefully on Tuesday 25th at 4.15 with one staff member in particular by her side. Thank you all again to the staff at Clare Hall
The staff members are fantastic, more like a family to both the residents and the visitors. My mother had lived in Clare Hall Nursing Home for 2 1/2 years, over which time the carers did a fantastic job at making both my mother and my mother's visitors both welcome and comfortable. Nothing is to much trouble and there is always a welcome smile from them all.
What a home! My mum had been there for about a month. The home is extremely well managed. All staff are friendly, helpful, respectful and considerate. My mum unfortunately died there. She could not have been better cared for. We were with mum for 27 hours and were given drinks reassurance and more importantly, mum was shown the utmost dignity, respect and consideration. The nurse picked up that we were struggling with mum emotionally in her final minutes and ensured that I was able to leave if necessary and others were able to stay. From mum's arrival, we were able to visit any time of day and night, personalise her room as much as we needed and were all treated like family. Clare Hall management and staff are outstanding in all aspects. The agency worker was on duty the night mum died. He was outstanding. Thank you from all of us. What compassion and respect we were all given right to the end. Thank you along with the fab staff at Clare Hall.
The staff caring for my Dad are exceptional. They go beyond basic care and my Dad considers them as his friends. I am very grateful.
We took my Father to watch the football team he used to play for in one of the F.A. finals. This was by far the longest (distance and time) we had undertaken since he went into the home, and needed a lot of organising. The staff at the home were superb. Everything from medicines to a comfortable wheelchair was organised for us and ready for the early start. They went above and beyond, making the day so easy.
Sadly Mum was only at Clare Hall for a month before she passed but the care she received was second to none. All the staff were amazing with Mum and with us, the family. Would highly recommend Clare Hall.
My dad was only in Clare Hall for a short time. The staff were very helpful, kind and supportive. Can't thank you all enough.
I would like to praise unreservedly the administration and staff of Clare Hall. My partner was here for five months and in this time he made friends with all the staff. The service and care we received was excellent on all fronts. A great place with lovely grounds and great entertainment staff. On the whole, a great place to put your loved one to receive special care.
This home felt safe and welcoming from the first moment. The environment was well-maintained and clean and the grounds beautiful. The manager was reassuring and professional and quickly put my mind at rest that my mum would receive good care for her final weeks. The room was spacious and well-equipped and we were allowed to personalise it to make it feel like home. Everyone treated us with respect. My mum was clean, tidy and pain-free and the nurses always talked to her despite her being unresponsive. The excellent team helped my family through this time with kindness, professionalism and compassion and will forever be grateful.
I think my mother receives very good care at all times from all the regular staff. The room is clean, warm and homely. I always feel welcome by the staff when I visit. The food is good - if Mum doesn't like what is on the menu, the staff make sure they supply something she does like! Very good quality care at all times.
Very pleasant staff with good and caring interaction with residents. Thank you.
My husband came to Clare Hall Nursing Home for assessment prior to coming home from hospital. He has been treated well under difficult and challenging circumstances. The staff couldn't do enough to help me and I am very grateful.
Mum has settled into the home well. The staff here helped me/the family with all questions/queries we have had through the process of sorting 24/7 care. I am always made welcome to visit now Covid restrictions have been lifted. What a lovely day the Jubilee garden party was. Staff organised a day where all the family were welcome to join their loved ones. Thank you.
As set out in ratings - everything is good.
All staff are really caring and professional. There is a warm welcome for visitors and time for a chat if needed. My husband is treated with respect and staff are there to give support when needed. Activities are provided every day for residents.
Very good experience. Perfect staff.
Visited Mum, who at 95 has slight dementia, but is well cared for, and we visited on a hot sunny day, so the helpful staff quickly placed Mum in a wheelchair, so we could enjoy the garden. The care she received dipped a little with staff shortages, and Covid pressures, which is understandable, but in the last few months resourcing has improved significantly, and new staff seem very respectful, adding to an already competent staff. If I had written this 6 months ago, the score would have been good, and a little wary of it dipping further, but now I say it is again excellent.
My wife passed away in February 2022 having been a resident in Clare Hall Nursing Home got more than nine years. During these years she always received the best possible care. All of the staff have been friendly, kind and considerate to both her and myself.
My grandmother was not cared for at all, when she went in June 2019 due to her dementia it was lovely but around the start of Covid, it went downhill. They're most staff lack a good amount of understanding of English. She had a fall and resulted in her breaking her hip. Since breaking her hip she had a very rapid decline in health and led to her death and I feel this is the major cause of her death. They didn't inform us she was none verbal in March 2021. Recently tablets were given to her and were recorded they were swallowed however the nurses the next morning found them in her mouth so this was very casually told to us, which I find disgusting as she could have choked on these. My grandmother passed away on the 5th October 2021 and I came to collect her belongings the following day and expressed I wanted to sort these myself and told me this was okay. When I arrived I found her items just dumped in black bags in reception.
My Nan has been staying at this home for a fair few months now. At first, it seemed nice, well looked after and catered for. But that soon went downhill very quickly. My Nan has taken a dive with her health, not just because of the COVID-19 but because of the lack of care that she has received. I know that this review I am posting will probably be taken down because they don't like the outcome of my remarks, but nevertheless, she has been left without any fluid chart or paperwork about the falls that she has had. They tell us that they have given her the care that she needs but has still not been fed for a week or fluids for a few days. They have not been creaming her as they should be twice a week or given any other supplements for her food intake. If this is happening to her I worry for the other residents in their care. I have worked in a nursing home for years. I know what they are supposed to do and this is not it. What they are doing is dangerous.
