View Full Details of The Winsor Nursing HomeLovely and clean nursing home. Friendly and informative staff and professional. Very facilitating to my dad's needs. Friendly welcome. I have put good for facilities due to some rooms visited could do with updating, not my dad's room we chose that's lovely, but others we looked at.
Highly recommend - my father has recently arrived for a visit. Very smooth arrangements from start to finish (his arrival). Staff always welcoming and friendly. Very clean and professional. Very friendly atmosphere, a real 'home from home'. Thank you all.
Very pleased with care given and home.
The Winsor is very comfortable, warm and friendly. Good, calm atmosphere, good food and helpful staff. Resident very recently moved there. Well cared for and good communication with visitors and any requirements for resident, who has settled in well.
My mother's care has been exceptional, she is bedridden and yet she is encouraged to get involved in any of the activities. She is a loner and prefers her own company, she only likes visitors who she knows, someone has been visiting occasionally and she finds it difficult to talk to them as she doesn't know them and has nothing in common with them.
Good all-round care. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Staff are extremely friendly and caring, more like good friends. Auntie is extremely happy there and enjoys the banter with the staff. Excellent home.
The staff are very attentive and caring. My husband has only been in the home for a few weeks so based on our experience in this limited time.
Very pleased with the care my husband has received during his respite stay. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care they have given.
My elderly friend has been in hospital for three months and was extremely frail when she moved into The Winsor in Minehead. She has a lovely big room and the staff have taken such good care of her, her health has greatly improved. The food is very good, she is eating much more than previously and is much stronger, more alert, taking part in some activities, life in general. This is all down to the wonderful caring staff and surroundings and has enabled us to have more quality time with her. Can't thank you enough.
We have to move Mum from a care home to nursing home for the expertise of Mum and handling equipment and staff. Mum is at risk of aspiration and was lying down to eat/drink - needs to sit out for meals. The bed rail is higher than the mattress, makes getting out hard. Needs latest stand aid to stand safely but the home doesn't have one and unsure if has a sling for the electric stand aid. No bed sensor in place as requested - re. falls. The staff looking after Mum are lovely and very welcoming to family. Video call and activity coordinator - Mum's only way to hear and communicate with me is vid video call but only available Monday - Friday, 9-5 and I work too, need someone to operate it for only 10 minutes at the weekend please.
My mum moved to The Winsor at the beginning of this year. We have been so happy with the care, kindness and support Mum has been given. She has been surrounded by smiling, caring staff, who treat everyone with kindness and dignity. The Winsor is a happy and friendly home where visitors feel welcome. Mum is so safe there, all her needs are met whilst she is treated with respect, patience and understanding by all staff. Thank you.
Overall I've found all of the staff at the Winsor very welcoming and helpful. Now she has settled in she seems happy.
Mother has settled in well since her move from hospital. Although she is bedbound she seems happy and enjoys her time watching TV and doing her crosswords etc. She does seem to have lost most of her hearing which hopefully will be sorted soon.
So glad my husband is in 'The Windsor Hotel' (The Windsor Nursing Home). Staff are friendly and polite and he seems to get on very well with them, which of course is the most important thing. Sometimes the food is not hot enough so he doesn't always finish his meal.
Dad was transferred from a nursing home in another location. The transfer went well with good communication between the two homes. The home has a good atmosphere with all staff helpful and friendly. Relatives have good access at all times. Management is excellent with a 'hands-on' approach. I have seen evidence of management going above and beyond to the benefit of residents and staff. Before Dad moved in I had good feedback from different sources from external sources.
I've been visiting the home for almost a year, there is nothing I can be negative about. During this time, they have made my friend so comfortable and at home, they have gone the extra mile to make sure she is happy. The staff are amazing, they are always going in to see her, making sure she has everything she needs, popping in to just chat etc. One of them even writes down all the football fixtures for her in her own time as she's a big football fan. I always feel welcomed when visiting, the staff are so friendly.
My partner moved into the care home nearly twelve months ago, since that time she has been looked after by all staff to an excellent standard. I would not hesitate to recommend your care home to anyone.
I have been impressed and incredibly relieved to find such very good care at The Winsor. The staff are excellent and much more proactive than in our previous care experience. My husband has only been here for three weeks, but already, his horizons have been widened - he now has a wheelchair, goes downstairs from time to time - has been wheeled outside today!
All the staff are very helpful, kind and very respectful of Dad's needs. The atmosphere of The Winsor Nursing Home is very homely, light and bright, not at all utilitarian. Lovely and friendly. Very welcoming.
