View Full Details of Ashley Grange Nursing HomeMy wife was with you for 1 year, during that time she was well loved by all the staff. The manager - assistant manager every one of the nursing staff every one of the carers were so loving and caring. In the one year my wife was with you she was always made to feel it was her home and she felt loved by all the staff. I would recommend Ashley Grange to anyone and I thank you for everything. I forgot to mention the lovely reception staff and the kitchen staff who make such lovely food.
I would just like to express my thoughts on the care my mother received at Ashley Grange, during her recent respite care whilst my father was in hospital. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and all the staff that l had contact with over my mum's seven-week stay were lovely. They were all very professional, caring and attentive. The most important thing was that Mum who has Dementia seemed happy and stimulated thanks to the regular activities provided by the staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of visiting Mum and talking to her newfound friends who also seemed very happy at Ashley Grange.
Mum is very happy here and is well cared for. The staff are kind and keep family informed of any needs.
We can visit at any time and always get a friendly welcome. There are trips out and activities which at present Mum is reluctant to engage in. Mum is supported to remain as independent as possible but help is always at hand if she needs it. Management is always happy to listen to any concerns we have and act on these if appropriate.
My uncle has been admitted to Ashley Grange. I have found the staff to be really good. They are kind and caring, nothing is too much for them! They all obviously care greatly for the patients!
My younger brother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the turn of the century and died in 2011. He ended up in a good care home. Shortly before he died, unable to speak and in bed, I visited him. I took a photograph of my brother looking at my eldest son, who was singing and playing his guitar. My brother's eyes showed pleasure, joy, peacefulness and gratitude. I realised then what power music has over the human brain and emotion. Last week, a talented singer from a particular band, backed by good equipment sang to the audience. He sang to all and to individuals, which caused a smile. Some of the care staff managed to get members of the audience up and dancing, or just moving together to the music. I congratulate the staff for their gentle efforts to make the occasion a happy, funny and enjoyable one. I read that there are now experts in the medical world investigating the power of music over patients, especially with dementia and Alzheimer's. It looks as if Hartford Care and the staff at Ashley Grange are on the front line. Well done.
My mum has been an Ashley Grange resident since September 23. She has dementia and moved to AG after several weeks in another care home. All of the staff have been wonderful from the off, showing compassion, kindness and patience. Mum's behaviour can sometimes be challenging, particularly in the evenings, but the team take it in their stride and she reports that she feels safe and is happy. We had a dreadful experience at her previous care home with dementia patients isolated on a floor with no access to the gardens or communal ground floor areas unless they could "remember" the lift code. On many occasions I found Mum in her room, by herself and very upset. Important to say that the manager and her team also picked me up when I was so worried about Mum and the future but after transfer to AG Mum was soon settled and happy to join in the many activities on offer. What sets Ashley Grange apart is that they actually do care about your loved one and that is the most important thing of all.
My aunt and father-in-law have been living in the home for nearly a year now. Each time we come to visit we have found the staff welcoming and professional. There are regular activities organised for the residents which friends and relatives are invited to join. The home is spotlessly clean and rooms freshly decorated. It is reassuring to know they are so well cared for and we are greeted with smiles when we arrive.
My mum, who has advanced dementia, has been at Ashley Grange now for about two months and seems very settled there. The manager and her team have been so helpful and kind helping Mum to settle in and nothing is too much bother for them. The home is light and airy and it has a very happy atmosphere with plenty of activities going on for the residents. Dad has since moved from another care home to join Mum and it is so lovely to see them both together again, it warms the heart. I said thank you for looking after Mum to one of the carers when I visited and she gave me a big hug demonstrating how caring they are. It's a lovely, friendly home. Very many thanks to you all.
Outstanding. In the past three years I have engaged with private home carers, an at home care agency, a care home for one parent and Ashley Grange for the other parent. Ashley Grange has been, and is, a light at a time when our family is thoroughly dejected and very stressed. To be able to sleep at night not worrying about a dearly loved parent because you know Ashley Grange will take care of them, will deal with the callout, the doctor, the sickness, the confusion, is such an incredible relief. I still wake most nights but now I don't immediately reach for the phone to see what problems have landed with me because a carer can't cope. I wish both parents had been with Ashley Grange from the start. The manager in Downton is an incredibly kind human being who sees all the residents as people and inculcates a very caring atmosphere with her staff and residents. My beloved parent is a changed person since they arrived, they have fun, conversation and a sense of purpose and they are safe.
My father was only at Ashley Grange for a month, but as soon as he got there, he was cleaned and very comfortable. The staff were amazing, from the ladies on the desk to the people who fed, cleaned and just talked to him. The managers in the office were really good when he passed away. So thanks to all of them.
Theresa and her team at Ashley Grange looked after my father for the last six months of his life. They were always caring and respectful and made him feel at home. We couldn't have wished for him to be in a better place with staff who genuinely cared for him as the person he was. The best care home I've been to - well run, compassionate, very high standards, well staffed with professional carers. Thank you all so much!
I have nothing but praise for the staff at Ashley Grange Nursing Home. I moved my mum in there in September and she has been looked after so amazingly well. It's always a hard decision to move someone you love into care but I am so happy that she is safe and so well cared for. I have nothing but admiration for you all.
My father has been a resident at this home since Christmas 2022. He and we were made to feel comfortable and welcome from the outset. From that point forward, the care and compassion shown to my father and his visiting family (my mother attends every day) have been outstanding. The entire team are professional, personable and highly capable. I could not have hoped for a better level of care for my father.
Very impressed, have already passed on Ashley Grange now and then. Would recommend it to anyone, it's like a five-star hotel.
My dad, who has dementia, had a period of respite recently at Ashley Grange. He was understandably confused and agitated, to begin with, but the staff were absolutely amazing with him and within days he was greeting them like friends. They were endlessly patient and kind and really got him. I was also impressed by the whole team’s professionalism and attention to detail. The home is spotless and the choice and presentation of the meals and snacks was fantastic. It was so reassuring to us as a family, that Dad was in the hands of such a kind and capable team, the managers and all members of staff that we met were just fantastic. Thank you all!
Have never seen mum so happy, smiling and singing along - excellent.
My mother was transferred from hospital to Ashley Grange Nursing Home to be assessed for her future well-being and care. The transfer was made extremely easy. Management and staff have shown professionalism and flexibility towards my mother and myself in all circumstances. I have no hesitation in recommending Ashley Grange Nursing Home for the kindness, understanding and care they continue to give.
The care and support provided is phenomenal. It's clear that all staff care for everyone and that includes visitors as well as residents. The team here leave you with the confidence that your family are always cared for and receiving care and go above and beyond in all of their roles. The property is perfectly maintained and provides a comfortable, homely atmosphere for everyone! Couldn't possibly as for more!
All levels of staff here have allowed me the comfort of knowing my grandad is in safe hands. Very welcoming, friendly and caring. It is thanks to you all that I can enjoy seeing an old man smile again for this I will always be grateful. Thank you for making him comfortable and allowing me peace of mind that when I'm not here, he's not alone.
