View Full Details of Avon Court Care HomeThis care home is very good, they are so polite and they are so kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. My brother has been at the care home for about 10 months and is very settled. A big thank you to them. Could do with a bigger car park.
My nan turned 100 years old and the care home and the staff went above and beyond to help us set up the room for us to celebrate. I am beyond grateful for everyone who helped.
Throughout my brother's care, he was treated with dignity and respect by friendly cheerful staff as were we. We were kept up to date with his progress and treatment at all times. Myself and my family cannot thank all staff concerned enough for making his last days bearable.
My relative has settled well here. Conservatory seems underused, spends a lot of time on her own in her room, says she is lonely. Sometimes small of urine in the corridor. Generally has a good friendly atmosphere. The staff are always cheerful, but could do with larger name badges - easier to read! We are generally pleased with her care.
This is my first year of witnessing the Christmas atmosphere and festivities in the home. The whole month of December has been a wonderful experience for both residents and family. Always lots going on, plenty of activities. The care my mother has received over the last few months has been nothing short of exceptional. Mum loves it here. Thank you.
Avon Court Care Home has been wonderful in caring for my great aunt. The effort they put into her 100th birthday was lovely and really appreciated.
This was my first visit to my mum since she moved in over the summer. The care staff are exceptional, very kind, chatty and fun with my mum, which is very important to Mum as she is very sociable and has always had lots of friends in her life. The meals are really varied and it was nice to join Mum in the dining room. Not a criticism but I found the meals being presented for choice a bit confusing for the residents, most of them thought it was dinner time. Mum would always be interested in as much entertainment and activities as she can get, loves karaoke.
All staff were very kind, supportive, respectful and helpful. I was so pleased to be transferred to Avon Court Care Home from hospital. Visiting hours allowed friends and family to visit and support me.
I am very pleased to see my gran settle in so well. The staff all seem very caring and attentive and went the extra mile to help us celebrate Gran's 100th birthday in style. It's very reassuring to see my gran respond so positively to the staff and I am so grateful for the care displayed.
Very nice care home.
My gran has been very happy here. Two particular members of staff have been so helpful and caring, made us feel very welcome and make our visits happy. Their efforts make Granny feel safe, and the activity schedule has been wonderful for her. Her room is kept very clean and tidy.
My mother came to Avon Court in March 2024, after a long stay in hospital due to dementia worsening. She was made to feel very welcome and it has a lovely atmosphere, and we are always made to feel welcome when we visit. It's a happy and safe place for Mum to be and feel reassured she is being cared for. As for the 2 activity coordinators they are absolutely brilliant. What more can I say, the care and consideration and the fun they give my mum is outstanding and Mum loves them. They arrange great activities that keep Mum's mind occupied, busy and she loves the socialisation with other residents.
My husband was in Avon Court from 13/04/2022 until 17/02/2024. I've been very happy with the home, the care and staff were excellent. His room was a little shabby especially the bathroom but on the whole no complaints. Many thanks for caring for him, visiting him almost every day has left a void in my life!
Thank you for taking great care of Mum. It is very reassuring to know that Mum is safe and is being well cared for in your capable hands. It takes the worry away as we currently live overseas. You truly are all angels. Thank you.
My mother was very happy there, it is a happy place to be. Staff are cheerful and attentive and really get to know residents as individuals. Mum at 93 had dementia and was profoundly deaf but found a way to communicate with her. Mum was treated with kindness and respect, ailments were treated quickly and appropriately. Staff were cheerful, and did not appear to be a turnover staff, they got to know me and my mum. So glad my mum was happy and cared for.
Come to visit my nan as often as I can. Really happy with the care I've seen. I know my nan is a devil for eating, and everyone tried their best to encourage her; they have gone out of their way to give her what she asks for. Although Nan does not attend the activities, I'm very impressed with how much is provided - singing, arts and much more. All staff are friendly and welcoming.
Please could all wheelchairs be fitted with footrests. Musical entertainment is very good and beneficial to residents. Fresh vegetables are appreciated.
I found Avon Court Care Home very welcoming and warm. I thought the home was very well organised and I am relieved and very confident my mum is in the right place and will receive the best care.
I found the care home was lovely when you went in and the staff were very friendly and very helpful if you asked anything. They also put on a lot of entertainment and activities for all the residents to join in.
My friend has been at your home for five and a half years. Throughout that time, my wife and I have visited on a regular basis. We have felt the level of care has been very good. Some staff and cleaners showed exceptional care and kindness towards my friend, with a full understanding of her personal needs. The two activity carers have shown particular kindness towards her.
