View Full Details of Market Lavington Care HomeI have lived here since 29 May 2024. With my family, I chose this care home. we liked the pleasant atmophere - we have not been disappointed. Everyone one is so welcoming a smiley-without exception. the staff work extremely hard. The home is seriously understaffed. My complaint- and I am not alone - is the problem visitors have in actually getting into the building. The entry system has been broken for months -promises regarding repair do not happen.
My aunt is in the late stages of Alzheimer's and is being looked after so well in the home. The staff are lovely; so supportive and caring. My aunt is always clean and comfortable. Im very impressed by the level of care she is receiving. Thank you to the whole team.
Mum decided that she needed 24 hour care + so we decided on Market Lavington Care Home. It has a cosy, homely, friendly feel. All the staff were welcoming. It took 4 weeks for Mum to settle because of confusion & out of Character behaviour. All the Staff have shown kindness + caring to mum + to her family. Residents are encouraged to go to the dining room. Also to the lounge for the social + join in the variety of activities.
Dad is receiving exceptional care at Market Lavington. The staff are always extremely attentive, very kind. and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. We are reassured that Dad's needs are being met at all times and that he is in a safe environment. As a family, we are always welcomed into the home and feel relaxed and able to visit Dad whenever we like.
Both Dad and the family were dreading the inevitable move to a care home but the staff have all been so very kind and supportive. Interactions are gentle and honest and our wishes, and Dad's routines, are listened to, respected and implemented as far as possible. Dad is safe and well looked after and that is a huge relief for us all as he is so very precious.
After visiting our relative for roughly eighteen months at various times and days of the week, we have always noticed how clean and cared for the residents are. The staff are unfailingly efficiently helpful and friendly. Our relative absolutely loves the meals provided and looks on most of the staff are her friends.
It is now 4 months since our loved one had to be discharged to a care home from hospital and thank goodness we selected Market Lavington after visiting others. After the initial hospital crisis, you find us in a great place. Our loved one is settled and contented. After a brilliant induction by the manager, we were encouraged to choose a room that fitted her needs for quiet whilst being close to public rooms and dining area (the food is great!). She is well cared for and encouraged to participate in the daily activities provided by the entertainment team (they are great as well). We have monthly care plan meetings with the unit manager to ensure best possible provision, coupled with residents' meetings. After I met the manager at the start, I said to her that she had better deliver on what she said they would; and gosh, they have certainly done that and surpassed our expectations. Our loved one is happy and safe and we are just so grateful. What more can one ask!
All the care home staff are amazing. They show respect, and dignity to all residents. My mum lived here for 4 months, my only wish is that we had found the home sooner. The staff are great at communicating with relatives. The food is always freshly prepared and many choices given. I would definitely recommend this home for your loved one, you can feel reassured they are being well cared for.
The moment I arrived it was like being wrapped in a cosy blanket of care. The staff have been so lovely and spoilt me, could get used to it! Since the second week, my appetite has come back a lot and the delicious food has helped tempt me to eat properly again. Shall remember with pleasure my stay here. Thank you everybody.
The staff here are wonderful, kind and caring. They are happy to update my mother's care with myself and other family members. On the whole I am very happy with the care my mother is receiving at Market Lavington Care Home.
It took a little while before Mum settled in, we would have had her home but needed 24-hour care and a care home it had to be. The staff in the week were so good with mum and very caring. She got to like them all. The food was very tasty and she did like it. The staff at weekends seemed a lot more weaker and hard to find. Your jobs are not easy and I thank you all so much for everything you did for Mum.
I would like to convey my sincere thanks to you and all members of staff who have worked so diligently looking after my needs during the past 9 months. The maintenance staff have always cheerfully and promptly acted on any problems that I have not been able to solve myself. Both have the ability to diagnose faults with apparent ease. I appreciate the extra hard work put in by all of your staff preparing Nightingale for the Christmas festivities. Very impressive indeed. In particular, I thought it a novel idea encouraging the donkey to mount the stairs to visit residents! He was obviously well trained as there was no unfortunate accident! A task that has always daunted me is decorating a Christmas tree. What excellent examples are those displayed in the dining room and lounge. What a surprise to be visited by Father Christmas in my room the other day. The icing on the cake, so to speak.
Mum has been in Market Lavington Care Home since the beginning of October 2023. She is living her 'best life' now at 93 years. Having 'The Donkey' visit her in her room last week was so very special. She'd always loved donkeys and thought she'd never see one again, but no, he visited her indoors! She was so moved she cried as he left and said it was the best Christmas ever.
Market Lavington Care Home is very caring and professional here. They treat my wife with dignity and respect.
Mum arrived here in August for end-of-life care with an expectancy of not being here for longer than 4 weeks. She became very quickly settled in an environment she and her family had never had to experience before. Twelve weeks later, she's still here. As a family, we are certain this is due to the fantastic care she has received from the very first day she arrived. The staff seem very fond of her and she, too, is very fond of all the staff here - whether it's the carers, nurses, cleaners, handyman or any other staff member she has come into contact with, she's comfortable amongst them all. The staff here are friendly and caring to all of us, but especially to our Dad who has struggled to process his 'new life' at home without Mum. We are all so very grateful to them. Her room is clean and hygiene is brilliant. We would highly recommend Market Lavington Care Home.
Mum has been at Market Lavington Care Home for a few months now with dementia. The staff are compassionate, caring, kind and very friendly from the caring staff to the support staff to the management. Whilst on the one hand, you would expect this, there is something about them all going above and beyond and truly caring. I know I won't be able to name everyone who deserves the recognition. The nurse has been incredible. One staff member from the housekeeping team has been excellent and another staff member from the care team has been wonderful. Just a few of so many examples. A particular shout out to the Deputy Manager who regularly takes time to talk to my sister and I in depth about our mum without rushing us, always listening to our experience when visiting Mum and working with us to ensure the best ways possible to make her as comfortable and settled as she can given her dementia.
My sister has been with you for the past 2 years. During that time she has received excellent care, well-looked after and the staff have been amazing. Sadly she passed away Tuesday but on behalf of the family and myself, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone. Love to all.
Everybody we have met has been so helpful and caring, they always have a smile and a kind word. My husband is very happy here.
My dad was only at Market Lavington Care Home for six days but what a lovely six days it was for him. After having a terrible time at hospital, my dad was finally able to leave and be comfortable at a care home. Market Lavington Care Home immediately started making care plans (to rectify what the hospital hadn't been doing) and we believed he had around twelve months left to live due to his bladder cancer. After six days he suddenly, but not entirely unexpectedly, passed away at only 71. It gives us a lot of peace to know that at least during his final days, he was surrounded by those who were caring for him, in a lovely environment with a comfortable bed and a TV to watch his documentaries. He could see out the window, had lovely food and the staff were amazing; they were supportive and caring all the way through to the end. Thank you Market Lavington Care Home for all you did for him.
My Mother moved to the Market Lavington Care Home after breaking her leg. She had dementia and the fall accelerated her condition. The love, support and care the staff show, not only to the residents but the families of those that live there are truly amazing. The calm, peaceful surroundings are homely, clean and fresh. The food is fresh, homemade and prepared daily. My mother was treated with the utmost respect, dignity and love, which is only usually shown within the family, but the staff at Market Lavington are truly exceptional. My mother was put on end of life for her last weeks but the support and love we all received as a family made her passing a truly beautiful and peaceful experience and for that we will always be eternally grateful. Thank you all (each and every one of you) from the bottom of our hearts for helping us make our special memories (including mum's 88th birthday, complete with your amazing birthday cake), that we will treasure forever. xxx
