View Full Details of Church View Care HomeMy dad was resident at Church View this is a home for Dementia and Alzheimer's, yet the staff take offence to a 91 year old man swearing, name calling, and outbursts. Hold family accountable for his actions and us apologising constantly saying this so out of character of my dad. On occasions certain staff being rude to family saying things like tell him to stop name calling and one member of staff saying do you think its nice the way your dad treats us. My reply was sorry but you should not be a Dementia carer with that attitude. To me they are not trained enough in dealing with elderly with Dementia, no compassion whatsoever. Staff need to be trained properly if working in this type of home, Dad had fall, split his head open. safety mat didn't go off, why? Paramedics tended to Dad and told staff to call community nurse to glue the gash. That didn't happen, dad was removed from the home, for his safety. Has now passed away two days ago. He will be buried with a black eye and a bad gash on forehead.
We are really happy with the excellent care given to Dad. He went into Church View for respite but has since decided to stay, as he's happy there. His health has improved significantly and the staff are excellent, all very caring, with the management always ready to discuss any questions we have about Dad's care, which is very reassuring.
As you can see from our ratings, we are more than satisfied with the care my mum receives. Even when she was admitted to hospital recently, we were well informed and the care since has been admirable.
We are so grateful to the manager and the team for taking such excellent care of our dad. Everyone is so welcoming whatever time or day we visit. The activities are great, the food is good, and it's lovely that we can join Dad for a meal or take a treat in for him. The staff are so accommodating and so much effort has continued to be made to get to know Dad, understand his individual needs and personalise his care. A huge thank you to everyone at Church View.
My uncle was a resident for 4, nearly 5 years. He was very happy at the home and very well cared for - the staff were very kind, helpful and friendly.
I think it was about 3 years my brother lived in your lovely home. He had nothing but praise for everything and everyone involved. When we came to visit we also felt part of the family as we were made so welcome. I sincerely thank each person who so diligently looked after him so well.
From day 1, the staff went over and above to care for our Mum. They treated her with dignity and sensitivity. All staff are attentive, friendly, and welcoming - no matter what time of the day or night. Staff couldn't do more to make visitors feel welcome and comfortable. Any adaptations to the room were always accommodated promptly and laundry was completed very efficiently. Can't thank the staff enough.
This month Church View helped myself and family members hold a commitment ceremony in the grounds of the home for my sister and her partner. The time and effort put in by all of the staff was above and beyond what I would describe as their normal duties. The team from the home right through from the management to the handyman worked tirelessly the whole day, and they should all feel proud of what they achieved. I cannot express enough thanks to them all.
My father-in-law was admitted into the home in February 2024. The staff worked with him brilliantly and he settled in fairly quickly. He has special dietary requirements, which are being catered for by the brilliant kitchen team. The staff are the home are beyond belief. Everyone is friendly and caring and makes my father-in-law feel at home. He actually calls it "home sweet home". Would highly recommend the home, if you want your loved ones to go to a happy home!
I visit daily and have found the care provided to be very good. The nurses are excellent as are the care staff, they provide caring professionalism with cheer and good humour. All seem sensitive to the needs of the residents and attend to them with politeness, courtesy, and devotion. The ancillary staff are the same cheerful and effective. The atmosphere of Church View is of warmth and homeliness, along with a deep sense of commitment to the health and well-being of the residents.
Thank you to all the team at Church View who care for my dad, he thoroughly enjoyed a recent visit from a singer and singing along to familiar songs with the other residents. Always a warm welcome from the staff at Church View when I visit. Dad gives great reviews of the food and staff looking after him. I have been impressed with the efforts made to get to know the resident's individual preferences. Keep up the great work!
Always excellent, not a bad word can be said about Church View.
The facilities at Church View are excellent with comfortable and spacious rooms. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are very welcoming and discharge their duties with efficiency while retaining a good sense of humour. The staff take the time to understand the needs and preferences of each person and take care to offer support while fostering a sense of dignity and respect.
An excellent service received by myslef on visiting Mum for lunch. The welcome was friendly, the food was excellent, and the small details were noted, like placemats and flowers on the dining table. The home is well-run by the current manager who has an excellent team of staff behind her.
My friend initially arrived at Church View in Nov 2023. From day one, all staff were welcoming, supportive of him and myself. They ensured we had as much information as possible and caringly went over all aspects of settling my friend into his new setting. They immediately got to know my name and whenever I spoke with any member of staff, I could tell they had taken time to get to know him too (his personality, likes, dislikes etc). Since that time, admin, nursing and care staff have been exemplary in their care and support of my friend. They ensure that he is involved as much as possible (and as much as he would like) in the special events and programme they offer. Although restricted at the moment to his bed, they work continuously with the physio team to help him reach his mobility goals including daily exercises within the bed. I've never met a more caring bunch of people. Always greeting with a smile of welcome, nothing is too much trouble in making my friend as happy as possible. Thank you.
Church View Care Home is so clean and comfortable. The staff are absolutely amazing and really care for our dad. Since he arrived in November 2023 he’s been getting to know all the staff and despite having his own ups and downs, he’s having a positive experience here in Church View.
The staff are always very attentive, caring and thoughtful, especially when I was particularly poorly in February this year.
Mum transferred from another care home nearly two years ago to Church View and all the family are very pleased with how she has settled there. The staff are very helpful and kind, the food and care given is very good. Any concerns or questions from us are answered and dealt with and whenever mum has been poorly we have been informed and we have noticed improvements with each visit which is very comforting. The home provides really good entertainment for the residents and they try to engage mum as much as possible. Overall the home is satisfying all of mum's needs and we are very happy with both her care and her environment.
My mum is really happy at the home. She is a character and her food requests when she is The Resident of the day always make us smile and she is delivered whatever she requests. Thank you for all the love and TLC she receives from you all. We really appreciate all that you offer and do!
From the first phone call to when Mum passed, nothing was too much for the staff. Always had Mum's care at the foremost, which was first class in every aspect. Also, helped lots when Mum passed. There are no negatives for me, just loads of positives. Somebody was always on hand to talk to and treated Mum as royalty.
