View Full Details of Herondale/KingfisherI find all staff from care staff, cleaners, cooks activities, and management to be outstanding. I can not find fault in the home. I am 200% happy with all that is done for my family member. I would recommend this home to anybody.
My Mom came here first and now my Dad is at Kingfisher. Lovely care home with staff that care. My parents are always clean and well cared for. My Dad always tells me when visiting how lovely everyone is. Approachable and helpful management, so pleased I chose this lovely nursing care home for my precious parents.
My Dad was looked after by the wonderful staff, nurses and carers at Kingfisher. Everywhere was always clean, he was well kept and communication was strong at all times. They looked after him through his dementia and also to see out his last days. Special mention of two staff members who were always supportive and kind through the hardest of times. Would highly recommend.
Lovely staff across this nursing home who look after my dad whilst being kind, thoughtful and caring. Nothing is ever too much to ask. I would highly recommend this care home to others based on my experience.
Fantastic care/nurses/carers and domestic people also chefs. Everyone does a fantastic job of looking after my husband. Would be so lost without them all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all.
I find the staff friendly and polite supportive to all it is much appreciated. The rooms are clean. Activities are good and enjoyable. Menu good and healthy. Own furniture can be used and it is a comfort for relatives too.
My dad has been here for over a year, and it is one of the best homes - we are so happy he is here. The staff on house group three are amazing and happy to help no matter what. They're like a big family. Management is amazing - any concerns they're happy to help. Overall, amazing.
My husband has been here over a year now and we can't find any faults in the home or the staff. My husband is being really looked after and it puts out minds at rest, the staff are very friendly and caring not only to my husband but to us as a family. I wouldn't want my husband anywhere else.
I am so pleased with his care. The nurses and carers are doing a wonderful job with and for him. I can't thank them all enough. Thank you.
I can not fault the love and care my beautiful father receives. I see how the staff are with him and the genuine care they have is amazing. Staff are always going above and beyond for my dad and I couldn’t ask for a better place for my dads end of life care. Your staff make it easier to walk away knowing he’s looked after the way he is. Dad's main carers are a huge support to myself and they always keep me updated on his condition good or bad. I personally can not thank them enough because this current situation is by far the hardest I’ve ever found myself in. Keep up the good work guys.
All I can say about Herondale/Kingfisher staff and carers is absolutely impeccable. They go beyond belief to show that much love and care for my brother. I have just come off the phone to the manager and I don't do crying but the care and love is unreal. I broke down with the love they all offer. The most kindest love and regards.
Our wonderful mother spent her last months as a resident at the Care Home. As a very close family and with the added stress and restrictions of the pandemic, this was a very worrying time for us. Mum was unable to leave her room because of her declining health but the staff made sure that she was comfortable and well looked after. They were very understanding of her condition and very empathetic in their behaviour to her and us as her family. They listened carefully to all of our worries and understood our frustrations with the nationally imposed visiting restrictions. At the end of her life, Mum was surrounded by her family and we were impressed with the way we and mum were treated at such a personal and sad time. We would wholeheartedly recommend the home, the staff are wonderful and we are extremely grateful for the care mum had at such a vulnerable time of her life.
My brother was moved to Herondale without any consultation from the hospital or Social Services, we were appalled that he was 12 miles away from our home. We went to visit him in Herondale and if I am being honest we wanted him back closer to home. How things change, he was so settled and my emotions ran away with overjoy. The manager and her team have won my brother's heart and my family's. They make you so welcome and in my brother's words "it's like being on holiday". I could have cried seeing him so relaxed and loved by a new family. Bless you all, you amazing people. You need recognition.
MHA Herondale & Kingfisher Yardley Green Rd Birmingham - a big thank you to all the staff for looking after my mom and dad during their recent stay. We would like to single out a lovely staff member for excelling and going the extra mile, she was the first person we met when we moved Mom and she left a lasting impression on us. Sadly we lost Mom to pneumonia in February and this staff member kindly attended her funeral and helped to comfort and look after Dad. We recently moved Dad to be closer to our home in Rugby and this staff member has been to visit Dad to see how he was doing. This staff member is an absolute credit to MHA as she presents MHA very well indeed. We would recommend.
Dad seems very happy. Staff are always kind and helpful. Through all of the pandemic, we have felt a little less worried because we know he is well looked after. Visits always go smoothly and staff are wonderful.
Dad's always well kept, clean-shaven etc. when we see him, we are pleased with his overall care. Every time we ring, the carers/nurses take time to give us an update on how Dad is doing which we appreciate as a family.
The care provided is very good. However, there is no communication about how my mom is and when we call to check on her are told she is comfortable - if we are unable to visit on days when no slots are available we would like more detailed feedback than this. My mom is unable to use her mobile so we have no other way to contact her directly.
My husband's recovery from a recent infection has been amazing considering how poorly he was. We feel as a family this is partly due to the great care he is receiving from Herondale staff.
Staff seem really kind and helpful.
Happy with the care my dad gets. Happy friendly staff, always helpful and caring. Dad always seems happy. Thank you all.
