View Full Details of Hodge Hill Grange Care HomeI am always impressed with the cleanliness and friendly greetings which we receive when visiting. The decor is clean and bright and it is exceptional when special events occur e.g. Easter and Christmas as some of the staff go the extra mile with decorations - very impressive! We also know that the food is good as the person we visit only has good things to say. I really like the relaxed atmosphere.
I viewed about 12 care homes and Hodge Hill Grange was everything my dad needed. Small, friendly, ensuite. We have not been disappointed by our choice, we know my dad is safe and being cared for, pampering to all his needs (and trust me we know he can be difficult). Dad's only been there for a month but genuinely we can't thank them all enough.
Dad settled really well, staff take good care of him and we feel relaxed as we know he's in safe hands and in a happy environment. If anything occurs we are informed promptly. We find the home very clean and hygienic.
My grandad was a resident here for a few months and he was so happy. The care he received was brilliant, the home was always clean and fresh. The management team was amazing. I would always recommend anybody to stay here.
Our experience, on the whole, is very good, some staff are very kind and helpful. Any problems or concerns are dealt with promptly.
My mom moved into Hill Grange after being in another care home. We moved Mom due to Mom having to share a room in her previous home. Hodge Hill Grange has been the best thing we did for Mom. The staff are all wonderful for Mom. The staff are all wonderful from reception to cleaners. I would like to say a special thank you to one staff member who is absolutely brilliant with all of the residents. The manager is a good lead.
My mother was assessed and referred to this care home and moved in on the 1st of December 2023. Since my mother has onset Alzheimer's the care she has received is excellent. They have made her welcome loved and cared for and her quality of life has improved so much. I am a trustee of a charity and know what residents should expect in terms of quality of care. Since my mother moved the change in her has been very good. The care assistants have provided care that is compassionate and caring is very pleasing to see. I would like to say a big thank you to the manager and staff for the improvements in my mother's mental and physical health enormously. On that positive note, I know now that she is in good hands. Thank you once again.
Previously Mum was downstairs, now she has moved upstairs and she is interacting more than she did. She tries to start conversations, seems more alert, still happy. Staff are great - positive, allowing independence, music is very upbeat and this is obviously helping Mum. One member of staff sends videos, photos of what she has been doing with Mum. Excellent, we are very happy. Thank you to all staff.
I have found the staff very helpful and kind, answered all our questions and sorted our problems when we have had one. The home is very clean and the food excellent. Top marks to all concerned, when my uncle was 100 years old they put on a very good display on of his past life plus a card from the king. And to finish it off we had Elvis and fish and chips out of the paper. A good job well done. Top marks.
My father was here for 7 months, and the care he received was of a very high standard. Staff were caring, friendly, welcoming and professional, always took time with him, and looked after him well. The home has its own chef, so favourite meals can be prepared on-site for residents. Staff looked after his physical health well and communicated any health issues to us on a regular basis, always keeping us up to date with what was happening. Dad never wanted to go into a home. He was at the stage where he couldn't do anything for himself so needed 24/7 care. We wanted a home where staff would be kind and caring to him - we found that here. My heartfelt thanks go to all the staff at Hodge Hill Grange, for the superb care you took of my dad, who sadly passed away at the weekend. And thanks to you calling us in on time, he died surrounded by family.
Girlfriend's nan received wonderful care. All staff are very supportive, polite and helpful. Would recommend this home. Can't thank them enough.
I have no complaints. Mom has received good care. Plenty of activities. Thank you.
My mom was cared for absolutely brilliantly at this home. Staff always welcomed me and my family every visit, nothing was too much trouble. Mom was always happy and singing and loved the staff. The staff work hard and I am very grateful for everything they've done for my mom.
I couldn't fault this home. The care my nan received was spectacular, even to the last moments of her life. All staff at this home are polite and helpful, also the support they gave us throughout. We couldn't thank them enough.
I feel that my dad is being well looked after in Hodge Hill Grange Care Home. His medical needs are well taken care of and he is encouraged to engage and be involved in activities he would probably not do if left alone. He has done painting and karaoke, which he has enjoyed. He also enjoys the entertainment, especially "Elvis". There is a good variety of food and drink and he receives more visitors than he did at home. Thanks for looking after him.
My father-in-law was admitted to the hospital in April after falling which was becoming frequent. From the hospital, we transferred him here as it was obvious he needed daily supervision. At this point he was immobile, suffering from Parkinson's symptoms and had not been looking after himself. Three months following this he is mobile, cheerful, chatting and interested - all down to the competent care of the staff. Everyone welcomes you and this is a home from home.
Everybody is very kind and helpful. I have never had to question about moms care. I have always been informed about health issues. They fully understand that mom has dementia and they got to know moms ways.
Have found the care home staff very approachable and supporting. Everything is done to make sure mum has the best care possible and to make her happy.
I just wanted to thank all the staff for the care they provided for my dad even to the last moments of his life. I am grateful for their understanding and support, management were very sympathetic and supportive in my bereavement. Overall, everyone did their very best with my dad's care.
The moment I stepped into Hodge Hill Care Home, I knew my late wife was in safe hands. A friendly greeting in a clean and warm environment. Communication was excellent throughout. All of the staff showed great kindness, understanding and humour when applicable. Although my wife couldn't eat much, the food was first-class. From the manager to the lady who was on laundry duties, the service was superb. Well done!
