View Full Details of Ivybank Care HomeMy mum lived at Ivybank Care Home for eighteen months. The bedroom suited her needs, functional and kept very clean - with a large window to sit and enjoy the view. The cleaners do a good job. The carers do a hard job in a friendly and committed way. A singer and storyteller come twice weekly. It is a medium-sized home which doesn’t ask residents to leave when self-funding finishes. I would recommend this care home.
Our mother is always treated with respect, dignity and love. The carers are extremely vigilant and responsive when dealing with Mum's needs. We feel that Mum is in a very safe environment. We would have no hesitation in recommending Ivybank Care Home.
I like it here.
Staff are always helpful and management is continually trying to improve the home. My brother seems quite happy and staff and medical staff do their best to keep him cared for and well.
Ivybank care home is always clean, maintained well and the staff friendly and helpful. I think the staff do a good job and treat the residents with respect.
Ivybank is a very caring nursing home. My mother-in-law, who had very complex needs, became a resident at the home eight months ago. Whilst at Ivybank, all her needs were met by a team of excellent caring staff. Carers at the home all go the extra mile to ensure that residents in the home are supported and treated with dignity. The activities co-ordinator provides a variety of stimuli to meet individual interests and abilities. The home manager is always available to deal with any queries or concerns you may have.
The carers are very good at the home. The home has been improved to a high standard.
My mother came to Ivybank Nursing Home the end of last year. She is well looked after by the staff and has settled in really well. The home is very clean and tidy, all the staff are so helpful and kind and always make you feel welcome.
My mother in law passed away very peacefully at Ivybank in May of this year. She had Alzheimers disease. Admission was carried out by the home manager who knows how to take the stress off families. It was quick and without fuss. She settled after a few days and enjoyed her meals, something she had not done while in the hospital. My mother in law could be fractious, demanding and sometimes rude, not her fault I know however, it takes a special person to remain good tempered, warm hearted and entirely professional when nursing people who have dementia. The cleanliness is impressive, the food is good, it's a bit like a home from home although my mother in law was bed bound because of a back injury. I would like to offer my recommendation. Ivybank may not be state of the art, however, the caring attitudes and committed staff are extremely impressive. I would rather that and go home to sleep well knowing that my loved one is in excellent hands than be impressed by a lot of 'bling'.
The care, kindness and respect shown to residents and their families by the staff at Ivybank are exemplary. Mum died there on 1st May, supported and cared for superbly to the end. She expressed her wishes to staff and the GP. All involved in her care ensured that these were respected. The relationship with the GP surgery opposite is responsive and supportive. We have continued to be supported by Ivybank. We feel very lucky to have found this brilliant nursing home.
I was a little concerned after reading some reviews on the internet but after meeting the staff on the day before my brother's arrival, my fears were abashed and following an inspection, I am now fully confident that my brother's needs will be fulfilled. The staff generally are very patient and with a good sense of humour, which makes it more pleasurable to deal with.
The family and I would like this opportunity, to say a big thank you to all the dedicated staff and management of Ivybank, for the excellent care and attention to our relative. We would also like to comment on how clean it is, it has improved a great deal since our relative first moved in. We would also recommend it to anyone, should we be asked.
The whole family are extremely pleased with the care and support given to our mother. The staff are all brilliant and take the time to talk to us and our mother. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
My mother has been shown and excellent level of care and dignity since living here. I am impressed with the staff's attention to my mother's care, plenty of smiles and encouragement when needed and nothing seems too much trouble.
Uncle was looked after well. Was moved to a smaller room, I minded more than my uncle though.
Extremely caring staff who take the time to chat with mom and make her laugh. The staff makes sure that mom is always dressed nicely and excellent personal hygiene is maintained to both myself and mom.
"He came to Ivy Bank, Cos the other home stank, Now that he is here, He can live without fear, Cos everyone is so dear."
We are very pleased with the very good service and facilities. My Father-in-Law is very happy and very content.
The family overall has found Ivybank to be very well run. The staff are excellent as is the standard of care. One thing I would ask for is a couple of light chairs to be provided for visitors. A big thank you to you all.
Clean and safe, staff are very helpful. My nan's room is always looking clean and presentable whenever we visit.
