View Full Details of The Orchards Care HomeAlways feel welcomed at the home, staff are always pleasant and pleased to see us. My sister is very well looked after. Activities team are second to none, fantastic! Very happy.
Sadly mom passed away at The Orchards after 6 weeks with vascular dementia..But couldn't of asked for better care for our mom after having Dementia for 5yrs which as a family we cared for her, but after a fall which led to nursing care we reluctantly had to put her in a home...But they looked after our mom as good as we did we felt totally confident mom was in good care. The carers, nurses treat their patients with such care and consideration. Even entertainment coordination, manager, maintenance man also staff in office was always happy to help nothing was too much trouble for anyone. This is certainly a care home that is very well run and respects their patients they care for to a very high standard...The team all work together, well done to you all.
I feel that my mother is being very well looked after. The staff in particular have made Mom feel safe, secure and comfortable. From my observation I can see that it's not just my mom that is made to feel special, but all the residents. I am thrilled that Mum is here at The Orchards. It makes me feel totally reassured that she is in safe hands.
The management and staff have every right to be proud of The Orchards. From the activities manager, head of maintenance, cooks and catering staff, cleaners, and the backbone of the home - the carers who do the job with a smile always. Thank you to all who make The Orchards the best.
I feel that my Mothers's care is very high. Obviously, my Mother would prefer to be at her own home but due to her health, she cannot live there, so to make a statement that my Mum's care is the best it can be at 'The Orchards' is a true statement! Nothing is too much trouble when I have asked for it. I know my Mother is in good hands there.
Since my nan has been at home, we have had an experience. All of the staff are extremely polite and friendly. They take very good care of my nan and ensure she is always happy. They always go above and beyond for her, especially the entertainment team. She feels safe in their care and enjoys it when they are on the premises.
My mother is a resident at Orchards Care Home. The carers here are very best, they work incredibly hard and are kind, considerate and caring, taking into get to know them with the best and attention to meet their needs. The activities girls work tirelessly and with such enthusiasm and energy to make the residents happy with events, open days, musical entertainment, quizzes, bingp - the list is endless. Their commitment and professionalism is to be admired. They make The Orchards a happy place for everyone to live in.
As a family, we are happy with the care and treatment. The care, compassion and connection with staff and residents have been outstanding and has contributed in a positive way to his mental health and motivation. Entertainment activities are a really valuable asset to his time and socialisation whilst here.
I am very happy with Mom's overall care. I have to say all care is good, but there are different levels depending on which carers are on. There is always plenty going on, on the activities side of things, the activities coordinator I find is excellent.
Fantastic! Could not be better. I do not have a bad word to say about this place. Activities are absolutely fantastic.
My wife has been in The Orchards for nearly a year. She has been treated with dignity and kindness. The staff work hard to maintain a good standard of care, compassion and cleanliness. The meals are excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone who finds themselves in the position of needing care.
The home is always clean and tidy, staff are always engaging and pleasant. My wife is very comfortable and has been here for nearly 18 months. If I have any concerns the staff always listen and go out of their way to make sure my concerns are dealt with.
It was awkward for my partner as she had already been in two other care homes and it took a while to settle in but I now think that has been accomplished. Overall the home suits her needs. I believe she is liked by the staff and she certainly likes them. Although she is unable to communicate I believe the staff understand her needs. She does like activities but is usually unable to take part owing to her condition.
Always a pleasure to visit my mum, very caring and friendly staff and the management team are very approachable and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They have lots of different events for the residents and families to enjoy and socialise. They are respectful at all times, nothing is too much trouble for them. The home manager should be very proud that he has such a wonderful, caring and professional team. Thank you for everything you do.
From experience, the staff treat my brother well and are polite, jovial and compassionate. The events they put on keep the patients alert and something to keep them occupied and motivated.
The Orchards Care Home is such a nice place to be in - with caring staff. They notice when you are feeling down and spend time to cheer you up. The whole team are so courteous and professional with all residents with all residents. The activities are a time for us all to socialise, have a good laugh, and swap stories about our childhood and growing up. Sadly I have to leave here soon which doesn't make me feel good.
Care home is lovely, staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Always plenty pf activities and fun days for families to come to.
Although my mom has only been at The Orchards for a short amount of time the kindness and compassion that every member of staff has shown my mom and us as a family is truly overwhelming. Thank you so much.
I can 100% say that all the staff are fantastic, my mom has been a resident since May this year. She was difficult to start with but the staff have found a way to communicate with Mom in a calm reassuring way. Today I went to visit and sadly Mom was having one of her vasovagal episodes, the alarm was immediately raised and all staff came in to sort Mom out and bring her back around. They were all fantastic. I can relax knowing Mom is so well cared for. Thank you to all the nursing staff today.
All staff have been very kind and caring, both to Mom and myself. She is very hard of hearing and unfortunately, one of her hearing aids has been lost and her sight is very poor.
